Captain America & Thor Footage Included in Iron Man 2 Blu-Ray

All Best Sellers Stuff
No need to spend your time scouring the internet for bootleg footage, the Captain America and Thor movie clips shown at Comic Con will be "hidden" features in the Iron Man 2 home release.

Iron Man 2 is one of the most highly anticipated home releases of the year. Dozens of extra features and extended scenes guarantee that every fan will want to get their hands on it once available in stores. If the already revealed extras aren't enough to pique your interest, this may do the trick: The Thor movie compilation and Captain America teaser trailer will both be included in the sequel's 2-disc Special Edition Blu-Ray.

Unfortunately, they won't be easy to find. The features will be "hidden" in a special S.H.I.E.L.D. Data Vault (an obvious nod to the infamous S.H.I.E.L.D. prison of the same name). I have it on good authority that the Thor footage included on the Blu-Ray disc will be finalized with full effects and CG. There is some bad news, though; the Captain America teaser may not reveal Chris Evans in his movie costume. Since these features have to be added to the disc docket before it's ready for mass production, a decision of how much will be revealed has to be made within the next few days.

No confirmation whether these features will also be included on the DVD release or other, limited edition releases. The Iron Man 2 Blu-Ray hits shelves September 2010.

This is good news indeed. I doubt very seriously that the Cap footage will be much to look at but anything is better than nothing.

Creature - 7/29/2010, 5:10 PM
@Odison: I know what you mean, man. I hope that it will be on the DVD, too. I doubt it, though. I mean: how is a middle-classed college student supposed to get a blu-ray player?
JJMeylar - 7/29/2010, 5:19 PM
ALL YOU CLOWNS crying cause you dont have a BLU RAY player need to get [frick]ing jobs and save up and buy one, or buy a PS3....stop [frick]ing crying you broke ass bastards.
blee947 - 7/29/2010, 5:35 PM
yeah a PS3 isn't expensive these days...

Literally, if you save $20 a month for about a year, you can afford one.
blinkuldhc - 7/29/2010, 5:50 PM
I doubt it will be exlusive, I bet a collector's edition dvd version will come out at the same time, might cost $25 or so, but at least it'll be dvd format lol.

"Literally, if you save $20 a month for about a year, you can afford one." - Probably the dumbest advice I've heard in a while lol. It comes out in September right? What month is it now? Do the math... waiting... figured it out yet? K good. Moving on to the next part, why would anyone do what you "suggested"? Not only does it just not make any sense whatsoever as I pointed out above, there is also the little fact that in a year's time, the movie will be out, so what would be the point of the trailers if the movie is already out and they are already attending or have seen it for that matter? Makes no sense. "Stupid is a stupid does"

Dr. Donald Draper - 7/29/2010, 6:00 PM
@Poni lately your news has been hotter than a room full of Slave Leias.

whatsinthebox - 7/29/2010, 6:04 PM
Chad Vital,
He wasnt saying $20 dollars a month from here till september will get you a blue ray player, he was saying $20 a month for a year will....AT NO POINT DID HE SAY "if you save $20 dollars a month you will have one in time for the Iron Man 2 blu ray release."

You dumb [frick].

Hit us up 10 years from now when you are looking at pictures of yourself with that stupid ass red mohawk and saying "wow I looked stupid"....
blee947 - 7/29/2010, 6:18 PM
Few more weeks!!!

Great info Poni!

f--k blu ray
Anil Rickly - 7/29/2010, 6:34 PM
sweet, cant wait to buy it
brazilianbatman - 7/29/2010, 6:46 PM
I agree with Anil. They put stuff exclusively on Blu ray that a few years ago would have been on DVD just so they can get people to spend more money.
BIGBMH - 7/29/2010, 6:56 PM
dude you can get a blue ray player at walmart for really cheap now
DasBoot - 7/29/2010, 6:59 PM
@blee947 Settle down, internet tough guy.
Creature - 7/29/2010, 7:02 PM
that double disc blu-ray is both plain dvd and blur-ray I believe
telavizion - 7/29/2010, 7:09 PM
@ Chad Vital.... do you really fail at reading comprehension and/or logic that badly? Re-read my post you dumbshit. The best part is that you think you're being cleverly sarcastic with your response -- when in reality you're setting yourself up for a cringe-worthy example of reading "fail."

Chad Vital, please explain to me, again, why it's bad advice. Explain to me why one must buy a PS3 before September or forever be precluded from buying one.

I'll do the heavy mental lifting for you. Maybe put down your douche hair gel and step away from the mirror and stop fashioning your totally awesome bro-tastic EXTREME! mohawk for one second.

Let's see...some people are complaining about not having a blu-ray player, right? Still with me? Their basis is that it's too expensive, still there? A PS3 plays blu-ray discs, yeah? Therefore, if you buy a PS3, you can watch blu-ray discs (please stop me if I'm going too fast). Ok, here's where it gets tricky. A PS3 costs roughly $200-250 -- I know, big leap of faith there. My advice was to save $20 a month for roughly a year. There are 12 months in a year. So, take a piece of paper, and create a retard's multiplication table and figure that out. I'll do it for you because I'm feeling so generous today. In month 1, you saved $20. In month 2, you have saved $40 total, and so on. If you multiply -- a fancy mathematical term for taking one number and enlarging it by as many times as another number -- $20 by 12 (the number of months in a year), you get $240. $240 is more than $200, which is roughly the price of a PS3.

Therefore, if you save $20 a month for "roughly a year," you should be able to afford a PS3, which means you also have a blu-ray player, which means you can play blu-ray discs. Or am I going too fast?

@ Blee, Thanks...it's good to know that there are still people out there who can read.

blinkuldhc - 7/29/2010, 8:12 PM
@Chad Vital, I'm still trying to wrap my head around your English.
************************
"Not only does it just not make any sense whatsoever as I pointed out above, there is also the little fact that in a year's time, the movie will be out, so what would be the point of the trailers if the movie is already out and they are already attending or have seen it for that matter? Makes no sense. "Stupid is a stupid does"
************************

So you're basically saying this:

"It makes no sense whatsoever because the movie will be out in one year, and it will make no sense whatsoever to watch the trailers when the movie comes out in one year and they are already watching the movie or have already watched the movie for that matter, therefore it makes no sense."

What???

Are you really this stupid? There is no way you went to any sort of school at any sort of level. If you did, tell me where and I'll make sure my future kids don't attend a school within 1000 miles of your school district.
blinkuldhc - 7/29/2010, 8:21 PM
im so slow i didnt even know my ps3 could play blue ray...*goes to test it*
odinson11 - 7/29/2010, 8:43 PM
@ jjmeylar ikr luckily i have this ps3 to watch it on i cant afford to buy anything for a while my hours have been cut at my job
odinson11 - 7/29/2010, 8:49 PM
blu-ray players aren't that much. I have a savanyo, and you can still play your normal dvd's. but it's not worth it cause theres nothing on dvd's any more. Like if you were to get the iron-man 2 DVD theres nothing on but the movie. Everything is now on the blue ray.

Now some one said whats a blu-ray? It looks just like a DVD the picture is better than a DVD they don't get scratched and last longer than a DVD. And if your ganna get a blu-ray get a flat screen there made for it.

And if your like me and don't like the case cause thats the only thing i dont like about blu-ray are the cases they come in. What i do is buy the blu-ray then a buy the dvd, i take out the dvd and put the blu-ray in the dvd case. And the pices are going down and older movie put on blu-ray arent that much but new movies like iron-man 2 might be like 50 bucks like at fye. and some sights you can buy them cheap.
Logan-X - 7/29/2010, 8:55 PM
the blu ray discs aren't cheap, but you can buy them off of eBay, amazon, etc. for much cheaper than full retail.

For example, Alice in Wonderland JUST came out on blu ray. You can get it for $24.99 new on Amazon, whereas the same version is priced at $39.99 at Best Buy.

They're not cheap, but you can still find relative bargains if you avoid the brick and mortar stores.
blinkuldhc - 7/29/2010, 9:00 PM
That is good news but i did not enjoy Ironman 2 but may pick it up because i have the first one on blu ray .

blee947 - 7/29/2010, 9:08 PM
I would hope they include them on the DVD editions.

Standard DVD still makes up something like 70% of the home video market.
MaxJaybo - 7/29/2010, 9:27 PM
Random shit talking blee... lol...Nice picture fail there bud. He has a completely different style of hawk. Maybe you should google some pictures of hawks, you do know there is multiple types right? I had no beef with you at all but whatever. Someone has too much testosterone in their diet hmm? Creature said it best, "internet tough guy" lol. So true. Kudos to him for that it was humorous. Anyway, I don't understand the personal attack over this mini topic the NOW three us of are having lol. Then again, it's surprising since there is a high chance I'm actually better looking than you and have some type of fashion sense (that I like and that the opposite gender seems to like on me for that matter). Some slobbering internet nerd isn't very "threatening". I come on here to enjoy cb related stuff and discuss things INTELLIGENTLY with the non crazy members. Those members know who they are as soon as they read this.

Back to the mini topic...

You're actually the dumb[frick] there bright eyes, it's clear as [frick]ing day I even quoted it. He typed it after everyone was mentioning about not having a blu ray player etc. etc.
He THEN advised everyone (for those complaining anyway) that if you save $20, in a year, which would be if you started NOW obviously (duh- unless you have a personal Delorean time machine we don't know about and went back in time to save up $20 a month lol) it was meant that if you save up $20 a month, you'd have enough in a year, doesn't matter really WHAT year, since everything you STARTED saving (which would be right now come on this isn't hard to figure out), "you could afford a PS3"....? Do the math that's what $240, (which are around what like $300 at least?) I guess you could buy a used one for cheap on the internet somewhere if you looked really hard, but a new one for that, no way. Even if you started saving now and let 2 years pass or whatever, my point is still holding ground. You couldn't save $20 a month and get a PS3 in that time. Math + Time = No PS3 lol. Sorry. Nice try though. Don't try to attack me back when I was actually correct all along.

Blinkjkldldjlkd... aka typo name dude, I apologize for calling you names to begin with, I'm better than that, for THAT, I do apologize. But then I read your incredibly shallow response full with personal attacks and more idiotic comments.
Your intentions were good, but you're like the guy who wants to help but doesn't know what he's talking about lol. That's like me letting you fix my flat tire, and then you don't tighten the bolts so my wheel falls off. You "helped", but not correctly, or should I say "accurately". I'm assuming you're 20 bucks comment was thrown out there as an idea or suggestion, but you should have thought it through before you said it lol, luckily you have me who is fair about things to nag you rather than some mindless oaf (yes I just used that word lol) who would just talk shit without having any argument to back up their claim etc.

How does my hair have anything to do with your bad math/advice? Another thing you and bleeblop said, that has no bearing on this whatsoever. It actually kind of makes you lose by default (for very very stupid shit talking). You lose your credibility when you talk about hair gel (which I don't use haven't used that since highschool in '02 cause I had short spikey hair back then). Then you said, "bro tastic extreme mohawk". LMAO that doesn't even make sense. I have never seen a "bro" or a "sweetbro" for that matter, have a hawk like that. Ever. Especially with fire engine red in the front. *sigh* you are retarded. What other dumb comments did you make? Oh let's see... what's with all the wrong misquotes on your behalf? There you go AGAIN being inaccurate. I can't even comment on those cause you didn't make sense on them to begin with, just jibberish with your quotes on them. You posted the right one, then you did your own quote that made no sense, I think I read the same sentence twice... I hope it was just a typo.

The best part about this is that you used my insult like it was your own lmao. You stole my diss and tried to use the EXACT same thing on me. Are you [frick]ing kidding? The whole "let you catch up" diss that I did on you and you try to use it? You aren't even clever enough to come up with your own diss? That's just sad. And no, I'm not claiming I created the diss cause that would be INCORRECT and I know stupid ass people like you will try to twist my words around. Which is even more pathetic. I'm sure you'll attempt it on your response. Try to bring some new material to the table please. And, I'd like to have a semi-intelligent convo the next time around as well. No joke. Mindless insults are just that. Mindless. Any kid can do that. Just admit you weren't being serious about the $20/month thing, and I'll let it go. We both know you "threw it out there". If so, just say so man, no need to be talking about my old hair in a picture lol. (So silly lol)
Chad Vital - 7/29/2010, 10:01 PM
Hello fellow counterparts,

I know how some of you are all feeling right now regarding the Blu-ray price debacle.

They had an entire forum talking about this subject back on empireonline.com and the prices are ridiculous.

Watchman when released on Blu-ray was £24.99. The Wolfman on Blu-ray was £21.99. Clash Of The Titans was £19.99. I got all 3 of those because they had exclusive features and came in exclusive packaging.

However I have been officially won over by Blu-ray now. I think they're so sexy. I love ‘em. What I have to do now is compare the special features on a Blu-ray to those on a DVD. If the Blu-ray has exclusive features I buy the Blu-ray. If it has the same special features as the DVD, I buy the DVD.

I'll definitely be buying this on Blu-ray as soon as it comes out. What can I say? I'm a sucker for punishment. But Mr. Burns is multimillionaire however so I'm fine.

To battle this Blu-ray thing I have 5 of my own tips.

1. Go on to Ebay a lot of Blu-rays are selling on there for dirt cheap, both used and new. The last few days I've bought 3 Blu-rays off Ebay and together they all cost under £20.

2. Wait for the prices to drop because eventually they do after a loooooong time. In HMV they have a sale on in the Blu-ray section at the moment. The other day I got Snakes on a Plane for £8. Plus there is the 2 for £25 deal they're doing.

3. Don't buy the Blu-ray straight away unless you absolutely have to. If there's an exclusive version of the Blu-ray film you want is special in some way (e.g. has a book, or a comic or a special cover with it) then buy it. If it hasn't then don't buy it straight away, leave it until the price drops or its put in the sale.

4. Compare whether the Blu-ray has exclusive features over the DVD version. If it has, get the Blu-ray, if it hasn't there's no point in forking out extra cash. Buy the DVD instead.

5. Finally try to buy Blu-rays off the online website (e.g. HMV.com) because they are so much cheaper then going into the store and buying them. You can save yourself at least £8.
Mr. Burns - 7/29/2010, 10:53 PM
Mr. Burns, thank you, that is how you give proper tips (blink take notes).
Chad Vital - 7/29/2010, 11:57 PM
GUYS !!!!!!!!

JUST BECAUSE IT'S A BLU RAY EXCLUSIVE TRAILER (supposedly)

DOESNT MEAN WE CANT SEE IT THERE IS A VERY HIGH POSSIBILITY THAT SOMEONE WOULD POST THE TRAILER ONLINE AFTER THE BLU RAY OR BEFORE THE BLURAY RELEASE SO STOP WHINING
InSpace - 7/29/2010, 11:58 PM
Frick unaffordable Blu ray's with hidden feature's rubbing things in and keeping mid class joe's down!!arrhh!!>=[
Nightmare4 - 7/29/2010, 11:59 PM
What special features are coming out on the VHS version? Those DVDs are just too expensive... Wow see how stupid all you jackasses sound being stuck on obsolete technology?
Bballjn64 - 7/30/2010, 1:00 AM
What? At Wal-Mart most blu rays are the same price as the special standard edition of that movie.
TruePunishment - 7/30/2010, 1:11 AM
Frakk Blu-Ray, Frakk it in the ass with a chinese monkey!!! And Blee947.....Frakk you too for being a prick to people who can't afford to buy that crap. The economy is shite and people are losing jobs left and right and you think people should just jump on the band wagon and buy blu-ray cause you think its the best thing sense sliced bread. What a eeffin joke!!! The quality is shit in my opinion and it makes the picture look fake. But enough of this rant, it proves only that you care only for yourself and are part of the greed machine. And if I affended you I'm sorry but maybe you needed to be affended and to anyone who disagrees and thinks I'm outta line well get over it!!!

Sorry, I had alot of sugar today. And blu-ray is the best and funniest sceme that so many nimrods have bought into, it makes me sick. But thats cool, waste your money. Regular DVDs work just fine for me. You people buying the blu-rays should keep your money, Your gonna need it.

God I love free speech, while it lasts anyway.Snuggles!!!
RIKSHAWRenegade - 7/30/2010, 1:47 AM
RIKSHAWRenegade

Why would I waste my cash on a normal standard edition DVD, when I can buy the Blu-ray (which has loads more features) which I do watch, for £5 in the odd case. (Its £8 more at the most). You're wasting your money if you actually buy the boggest standard edition. They're bone dry and they aren't worth wasting money on.

Plus Blu-rays are occasionally the same price as the DVD (Edge of Darkness and The Box anyone?).

And if you'd bothered to glimpse at my previous post there's easy ways of getting around the extortionate price of Blu-ray films.
Mr. Burns - 7/30/2010, 1:59 AM
Mr.Burns, you missed the point completely. It's all a scam to get people to buy movies again and again and waste money........never you mind Burnsy, just do what your gonna do and let the smarter people talk...even though I have bad spelling and I kinda went off on a tangent. I'm gonna curl up in my sock drawer and sleep for days. Toodles!!!
RIKSHAWRenegade - 7/30/2010, 2:09 AM
Nothing personal Burnsy. You seem like an OK cat to me.
RIKSHAWRenegade - 7/30/2010, 2:10 AM
@Mr. Burns.... "Why would I waste my cash on a normal standard edition DVD..." Uh, dude... not all people HAVE a blu-ray player... some people do, others don't. Obviously, if you have a blu-ray player, might as well get the high-end blu-ray movies rather than the optional standard DVD. While I agree that most new blu-ray releases do have a higher than average price tag on launch (then drops later)... it is more of what you personally have and what you don't.... in this case; its either you have a blu-ray player or not, so it is not a waste of money if you have one thing and not the other. I think that was the point RIKSHAWRenegade was trying to get across, especially in today's trying times when employment and unemployment bounces up and down like a yo-yo for the middle and lower class families... most especially here for us folks in the USA. To each their own, I say.

...edit: regardless of the brouhaha over blu-rays on this thread, I'm sure once IM2 blu-ray is released, some entrepreneuring individual would somehow rip the "hidden" trailers for Cap and Thor and post them all over the world-wide web for those that don't have them.
LOL - 7/30/2010, 2:34 AM
oh yes,blu-ray edition it is then.
deadpool72 - 7/30/2010, 3:22 AM
No I haven't got a single Blu-ray player in the house. None to be seen anywhere! However I have a PS3, which changes everything entirely. Why? Well because it’s a Blu-ray player, games console, music machine, videos machine and a place where you can store your photos.

I know your gonna say having a PS3 doesn't make any difference to having any other Blu-ray player. But I think otherwise. Because I haven't had to spend thousands of £££ on a top of the range Blu-ray player instead I've only had to pay around £200 for a PS3 which can do all of the above. So buying Blu-rays is like an extra addition to the PS3 for me, an add-on if you like. If I didn't have a PS3 I would never have bought a single Blu-ray.

Okay so some people may not have a Blu-ray player. How about a PS3? If not how about an XBOX? I know what you are gonna say next as well. Even though they were designed to play the HD DVDs, I've heard there's an attachment you can put on the XBOX, which will allow XBOX users to play Blu-rays. Don't know about the Wii.

And if you haven't got any of them 3 then god help you you’re seriously behind.

No scam here, its blatantly obvious what it really is. Studios are taking us for a ride, knowing we can't resist buying them and so were all suckers for punishment. They want are money (BUT I REPEAT ITS NOT A SCAM). Don't get me wrong I hate all this Blu-ray price crap and I especially hate double dipping.

But I don't agree with your views. People who buy Blu-ray aren't pricks, were suckers for punishment. But there are ways to get Blu-rays for dirt cheap, like I said in my above post. A few days ago I bought a Blu-ray for £5.00, the DVD in the HMV store is £8. Explain THAT to me!

I think it will eventually pass and either studios will eventually start lowering more prices or we will adjust to the higher prices. It's like natural selection only, with DVDs.

Therefore I think...RELEASE THE HOUNDS UPON BOTH RIKSHAWRenegade and LOL.
Mr. Burns - 7/30/2010, 3:43 AM
The bad thing about putting the cap teaser out so early is that people will treat it as if its near coming out and will want more and more, wen these guys have only just started filming practically. People who were at the comic con wer jus fortunate enuff to see sum early stuff.
Shocker - 7/30/2010, 3:44 AM
Besdies remember VHS and DVDs. Exactly the same will occur with Blu-rays and DVDs.

Eventually all the VHS in stores were phased out by the DVDs replacing them.

It will happen with Blu-ray. Eventually DVD will become obsolete and production will stop for more and more DVD films because it costs studio's extra money to release a Blu-ray version and a DVD version of a film. So eventually they will begin to phase them out slowly.

What will you do then? Buy Blu-ray of course. By then you won't know any difference between the price of a Blu-ray and the price of a DVD.
Mr. Burns - 7/30/2010, 3:49 AM

Personally, i got pissed at blu-ray the other day. I fell upon some really cheap deals for BluRays and found a very old film i enjoyed as a kid and thought "wow, it's 10$ on blu ray! I'll buy it and watch it in a way better quality!!!" WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!!! It was the same shitty ass quality that i would have gotten on a regular DVD. Sure, i didn't pay for it much and it is better quality than VHS but NOW, if i want to watch this film, i HAVE to put it in my PS3 cause it's the only machine i have in the whole house that plays Blu Rays. And i'm not gonna unplug my goddamn PS3, drag it all to the other end of the house and replug it on my bigger TV every damn time i wanna watch "Romancing The Stone", for crying out loud! So yeah... whatever. The Hulk Vs. BluRay i got for 7$ at Best Buy was damn worth it though LMAO :P
Shaman - 7/30/2010, 6:05 AM
@ mr burns its ......drum roll......uk.
deadpool72 - 7/30/2010, 7:00 AM
Shaman@ I bought Ghostbusters and Poltergeist recently and god damn the quality was great....its not gonna be like new but the picture and sound were given new life imo :D.....it does also depend on the quality of the Blu-Ray player the tv and the HDMi cable....gold cable's are the better quality for my machine and LED tv's are the way to go...Plasma just doesnt show the best in quality :D

Speaking of quality....i bought Clash of the Titans (the sh*tty remake) mainly cus im addicted to buying them lol but anyway crap movie aside its one of the best looking Blu-Rays i have...plus the deleted scenes and alternative ending would of made that movie a whole differant experiance...for the better :)
teabag - 7/30/2010, 7:16 AM
Chad,
Yes I come off as an "internet tough guy", because I have a low tolerance for stupidity, and that involves people that think colored mohawks that make you look like a cartoon character area attractive and witty. You'll grow out of it eventually and realize how dumb it looks.

Mr. Burns is so pleased with you I'm awarding you with the 'Annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence'.

Feel proud of yourself man.

teabag - Finally someone else who likes Blu-ray on here. I thought I was all alone. Do you agree with all of my above posts?
Mr. Burns - 7/30/2010, 8:33 AM
Tea- Hmmm... i actually might snag those Ghostbuster bulrays then. I don't have them on DVD but i was thinking about getting them soon. But the thing is, my PS3 is plugged on a toshiba monoral 16 inch tv in my bedroom. I know what you're gonna say, "DUH!!! Of course the quality is shitty!!!". But see, my Hulk Vs. bluray totally blew my freakin socks off, sound and image wise! So i sincerely thought the same would happen with this old film but it really REALLY didn't. I felt like i was watching a movie on regular tv... NO CABLE LOL. It was as if... for this specific film, they actually decided to just burn a dvd quality film on a bluray disc, remastering nothing. I was highly dissapointed. But i'm relieved to hear that it's not the same case as other great ol' classics :)

Thanks bud ;)
Shaman - 7/30/2010, 8:36 AM
I love you teabag (besides Smithers), Blu-ray's are way totally addictive man. Over the last few days I've got Deep Impact, Never Back Down, Redbelt, Snakes on a (motherf***ing) Plane, Flood and Quaratine for all under £45. They were all dirt cheap.

I got Clash of the Titans as well (not as good as the original) with the HMV Exclusive 3D Lenticular cover. I also got the The Crazies double pack (original and remake) for £17.99.

Mr. Burns is rockin' out.
Mr. Burns - 7/30/2010, 8:42 AM
"ALL YOU CLOWNS crying cause you dont have a BLU RAY player need to get [frick]ing jobs and save up and buy one, or buy a PS3....stop [frick]ing crying you broke ass bastards. @blee947

Hey blee:

Phuck YOU, Charlie. DRY.

Most of us WORK for a living, not sucking off mama's teat living in her basement playing with a PS3. A lot of us have families, mortgages, and a JOB that only pays so much every pay period, and to most of us, that money is already SPENT by pay day. It ain't like you where you can stick your white palm to mommy and demand more money or we're gonna throw a tantrum.

Blu-Ray IS bullshit, just another way for Sony to soak you for new equipment. And if we, who WORKED to buy our DVD players by the sweat of our own brows, ain't particularly happy with getting the short end of the stick because the same company we buy our stuff from won't include the same material on a DVD as a Blu-Ray simply to force us to pay for new hardware, we have that right.

When you grow some hair on yours, get a job and make your own way in the world without Mommy paying your way, have at it.

bropous - 7/30/2010, 8:46 AM
bropous,
I'm 28, own my own home in SC (of which I rent out because I am staioned in California, USMC)....so STFU.
blee947 - 7/30/2010, 8:58 AM
Shaman@ Any animated movie would look fantastic on Blu Ray ....animation was born for HD :)

Mr.Burns@ Good man :)

Brop@ Saying Blu Ray is bullshit is crazy talk, While i dont agree with how Blee said it the fact is im a family man...yet i find time and money for Blu-Rays...its important for a family to have their own treats....in fact i find it insulting to buy a DVD for £11.99 when the far superior Blu Ray is only 3 maybe 4 pounds more. I remember this argument when VHS was on its way out and DVD had all the extras :D

Moving on is apart of life :)

The differance is astounding....even the missis wont go back to DVD :)
teabag - 7/30/2010, 9:04 AM
Yes,
All I was saying is the complaining about not having a blu ray was dumb, go buy one, save your money, get a ps3 off EBAY....whatever...this whole conversation is dumb.
blee947 - 7/30/2010, 9:16 AM
Now i need to save how much more per month to get an LCD flatscreen with HDMI??? Damn...

But the ONE bluray i MUST buy is the "ultimate experience 300 bluray"!!! It's been giving me wetdreams for months LOL :P
Shaman - 7/30/2010, 9:27 AM
Shaman@ lol not LCD.. LED...i had a 42" LCD but last yr went for a 47" LED...and god damn its the best money i spent in a looong while :D......DO IT

I dont have 300 on Blu Ray sadly so i cant say how great it is...youl have to let me know :D
teabag - 7/30/2010, 9:33 AM
Teabag- I sure will if i ever get 40$ to spill on 300... again LOL. I already have the DVD but its so visually stunning that i NEED the bluray. Goddamn its just so expensive!

Holy [frick], i never even HEARD of LED tvs... They must cost a child!!!
Shaman - 7/30/2010, 10:09 AM
Shaman@ Hell yeah..i used to have two kids lol :P
teabag - 7/30/2010, 10:49 AM
Is blee and blink the same person? Cause he's mighty defensive for no reason at all.

No tolerance for stupidity? Have you read your ignorant ass comments lately? Yeah... somebody like you always takes the low road, no matter HOW much you don't like my hair (which isn't even the same that's an old picture), you'll still be ignorant and an asshole. I mean, I could easily say your either preppie-ish wearin American Eagle stuff highschoolers wear, or you are a hick type. No one with any type of "rocker"-ish fashion sense would say what you said to me. I just narrowed it down haven't I? Do tell I want to know what YOU look like. Since I'm the only one out of the two of us with his emotions intact. I'll be the judge here. You got personal (over exterior appearances) you dingle berry, that's not intelligence, that's ignorance. People who are blinded by their ignorance won't see that people like things that maybe you don't like. What a concept, individuality. Should I look like you? Should I look "normal" so I can fit in like you, a sheep? The only normal I know is on a washing machine. People can look however the [frick] they please you idiot. It's called freedom of choice. Maybe you've heard of it?

You have no open minded-ness here, thus you can't be right no matter how many pictures you post of Mr. T. Just can't happen when we have different tastes.
You can't win man, you already lost the fight when you got personal. If you would have stayed on topic, maybe your opinion would mean something. Good luck with future fights and hopefully you don't take the low road next time.
Chad Vital - 7/30/2010, 11:10 AM
i hope they add this in the dvd as well...was planning to buy a dvd...
Ronnie11 - 7/30/2010, 12:15 PM
@Chad Vital, of course I was defensive. Are you seriously saying that I was defensive "for no reason at all?" I gave some innocent advice to someone else, and you jump in with an assshole response. Then, I got defensive. You're a [frick]ing idiot if you think that's not a reason to get defensive.

The whole point was that some people were complaining about not being able to afford a Blu Ray player, and I simply said that saving $20/month for a year nets you a player. I made no connections to saving $20/month from July-September in order to get the Iron Man 2 BR.

LITERALLY two posts above mine, someone asked, verbatim: "how is a middle-classed college student supposed to get a blu-ray player?"

That was the question. The poster asked how he could get a blu ray player. He didn't ask, "How is a middle-classed college student supposed to get a blu-ray player BEFORE IRON MAN 2 COMES OUT ON BLU RAY?"

Because he asked how he could get one, I told him how he could get one, i.e., save $20/month for a year and he could get one.

Then you log on and post an assshole response for no good reason at all, then you cry when I post a come back, and then you allege that I'm getting defensive.

Re-read the god damn thread and you'll see that (1) no one asked how to get a blu ray player BEFORE Iron Man 2 comes out and (2) I did not say that you should save $20/month to get a blu ray player BEFORE Iron Man 2 comes out. I don't know what your [frick]ing problem is.

Lastly, are you seriously suggesting that a blu ray player is ONLY GOOD for playing Iron Man 2 blu rays? You seem to think that if people don't get a blu-ray player in time for the Iron Man 2 drop, then there's no point in getting a player, EVER.

THINK ABOUT IT. If you don't have a blu ray player right now, and you saved $20/month for one year, then in mid-2011 you would have a blu ray player. Sure, by then you'll have watched Thor and/or Captain America in theaters -- but something tells me that Blu Ray players have more uses than merely playing trailers for Thor and Cap America. In fact, you can get a Playstation 3 under this savings schedule...you know what a PS3 is, right? It does more than just play blu rays, right?

I'm sorry, but your suggestion is basically this: If you cannot afford a blu ray player by the time Iron Man 2 drops, then there's no point in getting a blu ray player ever. That's just stupid.

Again, I cannot stress this enough. Nowhere did someone ask how to get a BR player BEFORE the Iron Man 2 drop, and nowhere did I give advice as to how to get one before the Iron Man 2 drop. My advice was a general advice on how to save up for a blu ray player, it was NOT specific advice addressing the Iron Man 2 drop.

Dear Lord! It's exhausting trying to explain simple logic to an idiot.

blinkuldhc - 7/30/2010, 3:29 PM
Again, here is the exchange:

Question: "How is a middle-classed college student supposed to get a blu-ray player?"

Answer: "If you save $20 a month for about a year, you can afford one."

Chad Vital's response: "Probably the dumbest advice I've heard in a while lol.

Because I gave a poster some sincere, innocent advice, you:

1. Say that it's the "dumbest" advice you've heard in a while

2. Condescendingly "explain" math to me like I'm the idiot

3. Say my advice makes no sense

4. Call me stupid.

Do you really think there's no reason for me to get defensive? If you read the question and my answer, and then read your jackass response, how can anyone NOT get defensive?

Not only are you a [frick]ing idiot, you're a complete assshole too. Oh, and a true douche bag.

blinkuldhc - 7/30/2010, 3:38 PM
Lastly, whether you want a Blu Ray player or not, that's up to you. But that's not what this argument is about. It's about whether you can afford one IF you want one.

If you're a FULL TIME WORKER (i.e., not a student, not a dependent, etc.), I have a hard time believing you can't afford a PS3 or blu ray player. Now, I'm not saying that you should be able to afford a blu ray player on the spot, i.e., I don't expect you to just got to the store, on a whim, and just pay for it in full.

What I AM saying is that with careful planning and saving, there's no reason you can't afford a blu ray player if you really want one.

The U.S. median household (I know, not per person) income is $52,000. In California, it's $61,000. Heck, even in the poorest state, Mississippi, it's $38,000.

The PS3 came out in 2006. That means the median household grossed $208,000 since then. There is no reason why a household cannot save $50-60 per year for 4 years on $208,000 income to buy a PS3.

If you're a student, it's a little tougher, but not impossible. Even on student loans, if you just forgo eating at a restaurant twice a month ($10 per meal x 2 meals = $20), you have $240 in a year... enough for a PS3.

holy posts batman! I'm not gonna read all that man. I'm just gonna say that I'm not a douche, never will be, cause I'm a good person. I didn't personally attack you on things non topic related. Low roads were taken on your guys's behalf and it's over now, there isn't any more conversation to be had. Pushed the line verbally, so I'm done with it. I'm pretty much over the fight duder. I don't hold grudges for very long (if I do have one for that matter). This got way out of hand.
Chad Vital - 7/30/2010, 7:03 PM
this is america people. everyone should go get a PS3. you cant come up with $300? its totally worth it seriously theyre worth every penny. and if you dont live in america- go get a PS3 anyway!!!
Makiveli21 - 7/30/2010, 8:01 PM
@Chad Vital,

I'll take your post as an apology. Thank you.

Besides, you're trying to cop out of reading the posts by saying they're too long, but you seem to have noticed the very end of the posts calling you a douche. I also doubt that you came back onto this article just to "not read" these responses.

Let's face it -- you read the posts (bravo), and you realized you were DEAD wrong, but you have too much pride to admit it. When you do have the time, do all of us a favor and re-read the posts, give me a proper apology, and I promise I will sincerely accept your apology and we can move on. It's not that I have a grudge against you (I don't), I just have no respect for someone who is so stubborn when he knows he's 100% wrong.

I guess I shouldn't expect anything different from you... But you CAN surprise and impress us all by admitting that you were wrong (you know you are).

Don't all of a sudden back away (and pussy out) from this whole thing when YOU were the one who fired the first shots by calling me "dumb" and "stupid" when I was just trying to help someone else. It's hilarious that you're trying to act like the peaceful one by saying "I don't hold grudges" when you were the one who started this whole shit fight.
