Is Tom Hardy Working Out For "Batman 3"?

Just Jared claims Tom Hardy had been working out with his personal trainer. Possibly related to an upcoming role... a role in Batman 3?

New images sported from Just Jared shows Tom Hardy getting on a flight at the Vancouver International Airport yesteray, leaving Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada after filming an upcoming film titled "This Means War", also starring Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon.

The part of interest? On Monday, Tom was seen leaving his hotel after a workout with his trainer, Patrick “P-Nut” Monroe.

This does not really confirm Hardy's involvement in "Batman 3", since Hardy may have just been working out because he likes to stay in shape. But I don't know, it seems likely Hardy may have been doing it for an upcoming role in a certain Bat movie, reuniting with a director he just worked with.

Rumors mainly have it that Tom Hardy would play Killer Croc, but there is a popular rumor as well stating Hardy could be Bane.

"Batman 3" is rumored to start shooting in April 2011, set for a July 20, 2012. Christopher Nolan will return to direct with Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman all contracted to return (with Bale rumored to also be in the training regime).

Hardy is great who ever he plays!:)... My favorites are The Joker, Killer Croc, The Riddler, Warren White aka The Great White Shark, Hush, Firefly, Bane (Thou i prefer Javier Bardem), Younger version of Hugo Strange and The Penguin (Thou he should be gaining fat and not muscle for this role)

Talia Al Ghul, Rupert Thorne and Bane as the other villains!:)... The Penguin is my fourth villain choice (Yeah believe or not he can be reimagined)

Nolan needs to do Black mask.
Batman Begins: Scarecrow/Ra's Al Ghul, is that right? Anyway, a martial artist, and weird drug maniac.

TDK: Joker/Two-Face, a physco asylum freak, A hero that didn't die, but lived long enough to become the villian.

Batman 3: Black Mask/Riddler, a gangster crime boss, and a dark twisted villian.

It all fits in his universe.

BANE& CROC lmao!!!

He's PUMPED anyways...

I doubt he's playing either one of those characters.I don't care how much weight he puts on, or how much camera trickery they use, he's barely 5'9.There's no way he could pull of playing them.Especially in a close fight, as Bale is clearly bigger than him.

tom hardy is almost 5'11, they would have no problem making him look taller tho. hell, theyre making mark strong look 6'7" for gl!!!

and to me, whatever character it is, im sure neither nolan or hardy will disapoint
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/21/2010, 5:53 PM
Warren White (The Great White Shark) or Black Mask would be pretty cool!:)

I'm really not a huge Batman fan from the Comics, but I really felt the HUSH character was fantastic, I think The Nolan Clan and writing crew uses characters that have a strong basis in reality.... So this would be my choice. I know that Hush is a character in his infancy, read "NEWER", but that's a good thing for a new story in Nolan's Batverse.

Has anyone actually said for sure that he's a villain? Because after the rumours of robin being in it and there being a bit of sexual tension between the two, i think hardy would be an ideal dick grayson...
ohsoserious - 10/24/2010, 5:36 PM
I dont think this is news worthy its pictures of a guy with a gym bag and apparently at some point is seen with his personal trainer its just a guy who wants to stay in shape and I'm willing to bet there's no bane no killer croc and no Robin in this movie its all rumors started by fools who want this movie to have those characters in it. Until you hear it from Nolan its just an unconfirmed rumor that means nothing.

@projectrebirth Nice touch on the bring back routh Facebook tie in except routh sucks and should never be near another Superman movie again.

No way Hardy plays Dick Grayson. If Robin is in the movie itll b a cameo, Nolan will stay true to bruce meeting DG as a child.

Im really hoping its black mask but if Tommy is "bulking up" its less likely he'll play that role. Could b Hush, Croc or Bane, but hes too short for those roles.

I dont know maybe he wants a jacked mask or hush lol its all speculation at this point but it seems very likely he'll have a role
