Upon looking at the script, you'll realize, "Hey! This one's shorter!" And you're right. I've got a few scenes that I've written that I'm not sure I want to add yet. However, this sequel is more action-heavy than its predecessor, so to see it filmed would make it longer than what you read on the page. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy its twists and turns...and don't skip to the end! Trust me. It's best to ride the entire roller coaster.

David Slade! Hire this man! The build up to the arena climax was quite brilliant. Mets joke got me laughing. And Karen, didn't expect the turn. Was she like that in the comics? Is she even the comics? lol. I don't know the mythos. You got me interested in a sequel now. Nice work, again.

Yes, Karen is a big part of the comics, and that turn is very much in the comics. In fact, it's what *spoiler alert* starts the definitive tale of "Born Again" which is the adaptation of what Slade is doing with the reboot. The last scene of my script is almost verbatim to what Frank Miller wrote on the first page of "Born Again." *end spoiler*

Glad you enjoyed! Did you finish the first one?

I recently tweeted the script at Slade. Haven't exactly gotten a response haha. I tweeted it at Stan Lee and Joe Quesada, too. No responses. I understand their position though. They're busy men and can't read every fan's fan-fiction.

I must say again, fantastic writing. That damn Karen Page, i liked her a lot, well i feel like this is a trilogy now, and it deserves completion! I know thats what happens to her in the comics, but i think if we were to see that on screen, that would be pretty heart wrenching. I absolutely love the whole arena, public display for the climax, ending battle. Thats pure genius, you got Bullseye right on the nose with this, the little OCD idiosyncracies you gave him were outstanding, i think it seems perfectly natural for a marksman to be particular and complusive, how else did he master the skill right? great little additions, gives the story a lot of flavor. I love the end narration by Matt, the psychology degree of a bartender, really paints a picture, so great job with that. Only two real gripes, i dont think you should have killed off Bullseye, i mean with your story it only seemed necessary, but i think he could be used in the next one as well, the way you killed him off and him repeating its a race is great right before it happens, but i hate to see great villains die (btw so glad you decided to include his costume). The other gripe is very small, more detail to Fisk's office. I could really picture Bullseye's apartment, but i couldnt get a mental image for the inside of Fisk's office, but overall, thrilling read!

Yeah, it was hard killing Bullseye, but I realized a few things when I neared the end that I felt had to be done.

Bullseye's obsessed with the fact that death looms around every corner, so pretty much from his diagnosis on, it's foreboding that he's as good as gone before the credits roll.

The other reason is because the last of the trilogy is "Born Again" and Bullseye would be a bit too much. That, and the movie really focuses on the Kingpin as the catalyst for Matt's hell. I want to keep the focus on Matt's struggle against him, until the final battle when Nuke goes on a rampage to destroy New York.

And I'm really going to bring in Karen a lot for the next one. Hell, a huge chunk of the movie is her emotional return home.

As far as Fisk's office, I think you're right. I would want to get with a storyboarder or a set designer for details with that.

liked this script a lot better than the first one. I thought you got bullseye really well...if anything he may have been a little more tame than some times I've seen him. Still tho much improvement.

Nice end. Can't wait for the third. Is it just going to be a trilogy>
BattlinMurdock - 7/16/2012, 4:34 PM
Yes. This will just be a trilogy.
