If you thought that the whole Rush Limbaugh conspiracy of "The Dark Knight Rises" was ridiculous, then you're going to love this brilliant parody from last night's "Conan" on TBS. Host Conan O'Brien shows a clip of footage from "The Dark Knight Rises", with Bane's dialogue dubbed over with anti-Romney remarks.

Hey jackass, it WASN'T Rush Limbaugh's conspiracy.
superotherside - 7/19/2012, 4:59 PM
Exactly, it's the liberals who thought up this garbage. People need to do a little research before everyone claims all this stuff.
LP4 - 7/19/2012, 5:00 PM
Damn ever since nailbiter's article this type of crap has been filling the site. Sad thing is, nailbiter is a [frick]ing ron paul supporter but has instead given so much fuel for liberals to use against Conservatives based on false pretences
LP4 - 7/19/2012, 5:01 PM
@superotherside- Conservatives ALWAYS get blamed. This article must either be removed or edited.

"What are you?"

"I'm a Mormon."
eDubya72 - 7/19/2012, 6:34 PM
It doesn't matter who originally thought of this idea. The fact is that Limbaugh DID say it and he wasn't quoting anybody, he truly believes that it is a ploy to make Romney look bad. Truly, the fact that this is news is not that bad. It brings these kinds of things to the front of our brains so at least we are nationally aware of the similarity. Don't get so riled up commentors! This whole thing is hilarious!
JoeMomma29 - 7/19/2012, 7:13 PM
LOL that was funny!

@ LP4 you right it was not Rush who thought of this but he pushed the envelope and ran with the idea. And since Rush is a idiot of course everyone is going to make fun of him!!!!
JoeMomma29 - 7/19/2012, 7:13 PM
@ dDubya72 you took my thoughts and words out of my mouth! Perfection!!!!!!
brobinson - 7/19/2012, 7:15 PM
Agree with the others that it was the liberals who first made the comment and Rush Limbaugh went with it as a spoof to be ridiculous. I don't think he thought people would take him seriously. Like most, people tend to only read a snippet of a comment without the whole context and setting. With that being said.... Conan O'Brian is too funny! Still think his Thor stuff was the best.
Godzillafart - 7/19/2012, 7:16 PM
Regardless, anyone defending Rush isn't paying attention.
brewtownpsych - 7/19/2012, 7:17 PM
read what rush actually said (before he back tracked and despite what he said about the democrats using it). he clearly stays that it is "no coincidence". what is there to misinterpret. he's a fat, cackling clown.
UrbanKnight - 7/19/2012, 7:25 PM
He said it so it matters.
That was kinda funny.
eDubya72 - 7/19/2012, 7:30 PM
@brobinson The argument that liberals "take him seriously" in any situation makes me laugh. In any case, here's a link to a website with his full talk that you consider to be out of context:

http://www.deadline.com/2012/07/rush-limbaugh-dark-knight-bain-ban/

@JoeMomma29 I love when agreement is shown online, for it is rare.
UrbanKnight - 7/19/2012, 7:35 PM
He meant it which matters most.
JoeMomma29 - 7/19/2012, 7:39 PM
The point we all need to agree on is Rush was an idiot for entertaining this thought even though it was not his to start with. It is just foolish thinking he ran with infact was is so funny is he made it sound like he discovered this theory! Awwww Rush go take some pain killers and keep that fat mouth shut!
STOOPUDR - 7/19/2012, 8:01 PM
Actually, the conspiracy theories have it backwards. Bane, the character was invented in 1994, before Bain the company. What really happened was, Romney named his company after the character Bane, to reflect their goal to conquer the world by any means necessary. He reed gonna use Joke, but didn't want to be confused with the ruling paper company.

If bashing conservatives is wrong, why does it feel so right?
STOOPUDR - 7/19/2012, 8:03 PM
Rolling not ruling. Damn auto correct. I am suprised Rush didn't use that excuse.
PINO - 7/19/2012, 8:05 PM
This "conspiracy" is really being milked for all it's worth.
LP4 - 7/19/2012, 8:26 PM
@Farkosaurus- Yeah and for a group that seem to defend free-speech, I find it funny that most liberal media tend to censor or blatantly ignore facts and words directed towards them. As you have just simply demonstrated
JM4Superman - 7/19/2012, 8:27 PM
To me, a movie is a movie. Leave politics out of it.
niceguyeddie - 7/19/2012, 8:32 PM
Again, for the record I'd stay away from any political articles (lest my silence be misconstrued for a hypocrisy).
STOOPUDR - 7/19/2012, 8:37 PM
LP4, who has said anything about censoring comments? Nobody wants to censor Limbaugh, then we would have less to laugh at. He had every right to say stupid crap, and we have every right to call him on it. Freedom of speech goes both ways. It does not protect from ridicule for stupidity.
JokerFan21 - 7/19/2012, 8:52 PM
Bane's voice in this clip sounds too rough and raspy.
Marxman12 - 7/19/2012, 8:59 PM
Bane would speak anti-Romney garbage.
Marxman12 - 7/19/2012, 9:00 PM
Why make fun of Limbaugh over prescriptions? Uh. President Obama did coke & marijuana.
Tainted87 - 7/19/2012, 9:41 PM
LP4 takes this personally....
It's a joke, not a political statement. Lighten-up.
Super23maN - 7/19/2012, 9:45 PM
@Tainted87-- totally agree, LP4 take it EZ it was for shits & giggles!
113 - 7/19/2012, 9:47 PM
lmfao!
MitchConner - 7/19/2012, 10:30 PM
Lol...reps and dems are funny...everyone knows the hard core ones can't read...let them fight it out here...idiots
MitchConner - 7/19/2012, 10:31 PM
Right on rokker10
MitchConner - 7/19/2012, 10:34 PM
And conservatives DO always play the victim card...even my conservative father changes the channel when fox starts whinning...for real, it gets old man
LP4 - 7/19/2012, 10:38 PM
@Gambit89- No, I am certainly not a limbaugh fan, personally I think he's annoying.

But this article is misleading. It wasn't limbaugh's conspiracy is my point.

@rokker- Funny

@Tainted87- I would take it "EZ" if people here were more well-informed before making eroneous articles spreading lies
LP4 - 7/19/2012, 10:48 PM
The fact that it really wasn't limbaugh's conspiracy and it was proven to NOT be his. Yet people still post articles saying it was his conspiracy is what bugs me. It is a lie.

Me personally- not a limbaugh fan. Refer to my original remarks in nailbiter's article about this very same topic and you will all see. I'm just tired of liberals having a field day attacking conservatives by blaming them for something the LIBERALS created
nowtheresaBATman - 7/19/2012, 11:42 PM
^flaming closet Rash Limboob fan

now on w/ my field day...

Ichaos - 7/20/2012, 2:06 AM
@LP4 even assuming Limbah didnt come up with it originally he definitely was getting behind it. It sure didnt sound like he was mocking the story and he I didnt hear what sources or refered to any sources the story came from. It sounded like he was presenting the idea himself.

But you are WAY over reacting unless you think anyone that talks about Rush badly somehow translates talking about ALL conservatives badly. I know there are some people that listen to rush like he was some kind of prophet but he is an individual and not some political diety
Ichaos - 7/20/2012, 2:08 AM
Also LP4 if it was proven despite what was talked about on the actual radio show I havent seen you post links to this proof
hellfire - 7/20/2012, 2:09 AM
Not this again
Ichaos - 7/20/2012, 2:17 AM
"Do you think that it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire breathing four eyed whatever it is villain in this movie is named Bain"

inky - 7/20/2012, 4:29 AM
well may be its chris nolans attempt at satire and all this before his next project ( how to become president of the united states using batman as my campaign icon)or being non political its ( batman is not political he just does as he likes and has the money to back it up) sadly both projects will be using chinease money and filmed in hong kong.
i jest its a sad state realy when you read into a movie political reasons when we all know hollywood is neutral, no actor or director has ever claimed left or right bent, OMG sorry i just cant help it the door is open time to poke fun at those stupid enough to state there not political lol
SpideyQuad - 7/20/2012, 6:20 AM
Both sides are NOT in this for US. Time to take OUR country BACK
STOOPUDR - 7/20/2012, 9:56 AM
Something to consider... Even if Rush Limbaugh did not start the conspiracy theory, he is the one who elevated it to national discussion. Until he talked about it, it was just some crazy idiot proposing it, after he talked about it it turned into a national discussion. For that reason, he now has ownership of the theory.

Now whether or not the Democrats take advantage of the COINCIDENCE that the bad guy from Batman is named Bane or not is a different story. It's not like there is not recent history of a party drawing parallels between the name associated with a candidate and the name of an evil villain. I seem to remember Republican's making connections between Obama and Osama. At least this is tying Romney to a fictional evil villain and not a real one.
huexolotl - 7/20/2012, 11:32 AM
Rush is an idiot, and if you're defending him, you're even stupider than he is.
LP4 - 7/21/2012, 10:38 AM
huexolot- "stupider" hahaha that's not a word you doofus
felixxx - 7/22/2012, 1:35 PM
Romney is a snake who’s going to screw the shit out regular people like us. Anyone that votes for him is obviously retarded or rich. The guy lies about his income, is quoted saying "that 17 million isn’t that much money", fakes his accents depending on what state he is in, has more off shore accounts(that avoid taxes) than he does in the states and then tied to hide it and lie about it. Still wont show us his income 3 weeks after everyone asked him about it. He is out for himself and his fellow RICH folks. Do America a favor and DONT VOTE FOR THIS GUY! The more ANTI-Romney the BETTER!
