The story goes, "The Weapon" follows martial arts enthusiast and inventor Tommy Zhou, who has developed a ground-breaking portable innovation that an evil order will stop at nothing to steal. The comic book was released in 2007, "Weapon" was created by Platinum the chairman himself and CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.

Henrie said. "I'm a huge fan and student of MMA (mixed martial arts), and I hope to bring that to the character of Tommy." (Lets hope so).

Rosenberg ("Dead of Night") and Jim Henrie ("The Beautiful and the Damned") will produce and Randy Greenberg of the Greenberg Group will exec produce.

Platinum also is developing "Unique" at Disney, "Cowboys and Aliens" at DreamWorks and Universal, also "Atlantis Rising" at DreamWorks studios and The company is finishing up post production on "Dead of Night" with Hyde Park Entertainment and Omnilab Media.

LEEE777 - So that's quite a lot going on at Platinum studios. I'm sure the Disney audience will enjoy this show that's for sure and hopefully us comic book readers too!
