SDCC '12: DC Nation Concept Art For BEWARE THE BATMAN And TEEN TITANS GO!

During the DC Nation panel at San Diego Comic-Con, there was plenty of concept art for Beware The Batman and Teen Titans Go! shown including character designs, villains and more. Check it out after the jump.

Thanks to Twitter user Matt H. we now have some awesome looks at conceptual artwork for Beware The Batman and Teen Titans Go!. He was also able to provide coverage from the panel including what we can expect from both series.

Highlights include:
Beware The Batman

- No Joker, no Penguin, no Riddler. Playing with things from the comics. Batman does more detective work.

- Batman doesn't eat, he is on a liquid only diet.

- Alfred is a badass. Former MI6. Helps train Bruce.

- Mr Toad voiced by Udo Kier.

- No Batgirl CG Project. Brave/Bold was from a pitch or nixed DTV project with her.

- Barbara Gordon will appear in Batman. Into computers, amazed by Katana.

Teen Titans GO!

- Complete comedy. Some action. I believe they said 11 minute shorts for this one.

- Full original voice team back.

- Lots of old characters will return.

liquid only diet? The side effects of that are the following: Gallstones, Fatigue, Dizziness, Hair Loss, Heart Damage, lost of clarity.....yeah because you know striking fear in the hearts of criminals requires ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!



The Teen Titans GO! does look fun

So what? We have Young Justice. The batman thing worries me. I would rather they went back to Batman Beyond with an older Terry.

Really disappointed about the "No Joker, no Penguin, no Riddler". Those characters could have been done amazingly well with this show.

I'm glad that Batman does more detective work but liquid diet? Why is that important? The Batmobile looks like it was designed by Hot Wheels. lol

And have the Teen Titans de-aged? What are they 5 years old now??

But that's cool, I'm not in the target demographic for these shows.

All terrible news, whats the point of making a batman show with no joker ever? I don't understand what movies/tv shows do this. why don't they give the people what they want? They know we want a real batman show that is dark and has his original sidekicks (and where batman doesn't look like a disproportionate clown.) They know we want a teen titans show that carries on the story from the original. That has its mixture of darkness and comedy. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

^ They don't say joker WILL NEVER show up, just that he won't be in it right now. I bet if this show does good they will tease him for the second half of the season and then reveal him late/mid season 2.

Batman is a human being and he needs to eat solid food. He's not more badass with a liquid diet. He isn't healthier with a liquid diet. This is just stupid.

I got no problem with that trio of baddies not showing up. The only way to showcase the entire rogue gallery of Batman is not depend on the most popular ones. You gotta show the the tv series can work without these guys. Then they can bring them in.

I think the Katana thing is just a stupid way to put in non white girl character. Of course maybe someone should have mentioned that Batman had an asian batgirl. But whatever.

But the summation of all these complaints is "why isn't it Young Justice Batman or a continuation of the old DCAU". That isn't constructive. It is what it is. How can the show as it is be improved?

I think YJ more then makes up for the sidekicks and may have been the reason why the asian batgirl was overlooked.

That actually sounds like a pretty scary Batman. Imagine his mood on a regular basis. Yikes.

Can't wait for Beware the Batman. It better have a great story like GLTAS, because otherwise it'll be a pain to watch. Also, Teen Titans Go!... I have to watch it because we cover DC Nation on my podcast, but I may make that section much shorter...

Love the Teen Titans stuff, the Batman stuff not so much. As a Batman fan I find myself really hating DC right now. First TDKR and now this. *sigh* Can I for the love of all things comic books get some good quality Caped Crusader.

I like the idea of bats doing more detective work but I'm really disappointed about no joker

Joker is my favorite DC character but if they ever do have him on the show, I hope they get a voice actor who sounds like mark hamill, I'm still bummed out about him retiring the joker

Yea what a crap storm this Batman show will be. Look at that frog guy. geez how original. We will get one season, nobody will like it, back to the drawing board. As for teen titans go...please teen titans GO away you annoying piece of turd. thought we flushed you down long ago.

Batman's diet is a highlight? Why do we care? Unless there' a whole story around it?!

Computer nerd Batgirl= GOOD
But it sounds like we won't have Robin. Shame.

Metamorpho! Sweeet. I thought his idiot personality BATB was alright, or is that how he is in the comics? Haven't read his.
His JL animated version was cool.

I'm not sure what the fuss is all about.

One of the interesting things about Batman (and superheros in general for that matter) Is that they can be portrayed in many different ways. Personally, I can't wait for this new version of Batman.

As for Teen Titans, I'm a little disappointed that the old series isn't back, but I've seen the shorts, and I actually do want to see this new series. Besides, for every dark moment in Teen Titans, there was many silly moments.

I've got a horrible feeling this means batman is going to be a vampire, if so then I'm not going to even start to watch this. Teen Titans would be better if they made it more serious not more comical.
