After an overwhemingly positive response to the premiere screening of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Warner Bros went on to announce the 2014 lineup of animated films. The first being Justice League: War based off of Geoff Johns' New 52 Justice League comic. The second and third films are called Batman: Assault On Arkham and Son Of Batman. We don't yet know (for sure) what these films are based on, so we're hoping for clarification from the panel soon. According to users at Toonzone forums, Assault On Arkham is based within Rocksteady's video game franchise, while Son Of Batman is based upon Grant Morrison's famous introductory story for Damian Wayne.

How do you feel about more Batman films? Do you think it's great that they are exploring the character's rich history or would you rather they focus on other Justice Leaguers?

Nice, now what about feature films WB?
Transforminator - 7/19/2013, 9:39 PM
Pretty sure AICN's source was referring to this slate of movies.

I'm holding my hopes for a sequel to MOS. Anything else is just a blessing at this point.
Mechagino - 7/19/2013, 9:40 PM
Damn it! Not their fault but I misread this and thought they were making an animated film of the Super Sons, the son of batman and the son of Superman.

We need MOAR Superman and others as well... Even if some don't sell as well as others. D:
Oh oh oh! And everyone will probably agree with this but we need an animated short souly focused on Martian Manhunter.
TheManFromMars - 7/19/2013, 9:40 PM
Oh look!

More Batman!
Brokensteel1228 - 7/19/2013, 9:45 PM
Arkham asylum?
ALegendaryPanda - 7/19/2013, 9:48 PM
No way! BATMAN AND BATMAN?! HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING!
BatmanRobinNightwing - 7/19/2013, 9:52 PM
Chill out everyone. Yes its more Batman but they've always been great so we know these will be as well. The justice league one is pretty much a flash ainimated film. We just had superman unbound. Im sure they will be focusing on another Wonder Woman and an aquaman one too. But im excited for son of Batman and assault on arkham. They along with justice league war will be epic.
manymade1 - 7/19/2013, 9:53 PM
Was really hopping for another Wonder Woman. The first one is my favorite DC Animated movie.
AlReg - 7/19/2013, 9:54 PM
I want to see Son of Batman. Assault on Arkham not so much. They could have used the Justice League banner to tell a Wonder Woman or Green Lantern story.
digymastr - 7/19/2013, 9:55 PM
Marvel should make their animated show kiddy while leaving their animated movies for a more mature audience. Non of this motion comics BS. LOOK AT DC, they're pumping out these animated movies cause they want to appeal to their older fans. That's what I call fan recognition!
SnapperCarr - 7/19/2013, 9:56 PM
Can't wait!

Though I wanted to see Arkham Asylum as a live action film for a reboot.
TheSuperguy - 7/19/2013, 9:57 PM
I'd like to see Flash and Aquaman animated movies. Heck, I'd like to see movie versions of the Green Arrow and Jonah Hex shorts.
gmoney0505 - 7/19/2013, 10:03 PM
Woopy F'in Doo DC animation. More Batman is what I reallly want from animation. NOT! They are just going for the sure things really now.

Aquaman new 52 stuff deserves its own animated film.

Was looking foward to another Wonder Woman animated follow movie from the one from 2008.

After watching Justice League Flashpoint, I wouldn't mind a Flash animated movie based on the rouges with that voice cast
staypuffed - 7/19/2013, 10:04 PM
They've said lots of times there isn't another Wonder Woman animated film in devleopment, nor do they plan on doing Aquaman. I'm very excited for JL: War, and this Arkham one.
TheSuperguy - 7/19/2013, 10:11 PM
I'd be happy if they did a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle team up animated short. That would be hilarious!
TheSuperguy - 7/19/2013, 10:12 PM
@HydraBob Yes!! And Batman Earth One, with Superman and Green Lantern Secret Origin. Heck, do Kingdom Come!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/19/2013, 10:16 PM
Son of Batman? YESSSS
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/19/2013, 10:21 PM
So is this it for DC animation or are they going to announce more films?
CBFan - 7/19/2013, 10:23 PM
While I am very pleased to know that Bruce Timm is doing some Batman shorts, I'm not too keen on the announced movies after Flashpoint Paradox. Admittedly, I'm somewhat hesitant of the new 52 Justice League movie, but I'll give it a shot. However, TWO Batman films after this??!!! Come on, James Tucker! I thought you said that you guys were going to introduce new characters in interesting new ways.

Now, while the next two movies will be introducing Damian Wayne and perhaps Batman's rogues, do we really need those two films? What about a Young Justice movie? Or Suicide Squad? Or perhaps Demon Knights? Or, oh, I don't know..an Aquaman film? Don't get me wrong, I will most definitely still check out those latter two mentioned DC films, but I was expecting something new and fresh.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys realize you're sitting on a gold mine of some of the most interesting heroes/villains in the DC library.
Emjeed - 7/19/2013, 10:23 PM
Well.. I guess that's what AICN was talking about..
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/19/2013, 10:24 PM
This is going to be the first time Damian is animated. Lookin forward to it
SuperiorMrGod - 7/19/2013, 10:25 PM
Do we really need two Batman films? How about a sequel to First Flight? How about a Flash movie?

Really disappointed DC is still relying heavily on Batman instead of other lesser known characters.
CBFan - 7/19/2013, 10:29 PM
Oh..and how about a Sinestro War Corps two parter? That would be EPIC! DC, get on this!!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/19/2013, 10:31 PM
MrGod
Flashpoint was more or less a flash movie.

ThatOneDude - 7/19/2013, 10:35 PM
An Arkham animated film?

I'm so happy right now
Mrsinister - 7/19/2013, 10:36 PM
Seriously less batman and more aquaman flash green lantern and green arrow! Oh and more wonder woman
GetsugaTensho22 - 7/19/2013, 10:38 PM
If you want WB/DC to make the movies you want, go out and buy them when they are released! THAT's why they don't make them enough, because nobody buys them. Even the non-comic book GA think a Batman or Justice League cartoon ought to be worth picking up for their friends, family or even themselves. GL, WW and whoever else don't sell well enough. Why do you think they focused on B-listers like Spectre, Captain Marvel and Green Arrow through shorts found only on the Blu Rays of the other big movies? that way they could guarantee people would see them.

Downloading/Streaming these movies and them complaining they don't make them enough makes you sound like an entitled baby.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/19/2013, 10:39 PM
DC needs to do Emerald Twilight. Hal Jordan becoming Parallax is classic.

Maybe make it a part 1 - part 2 typa thing.
Part 1 being Hal as Parallax and Part 2 being Rebirth.
Minato - 7/19/2013, 10:40 PM
Mechagino

YES

jimdotbeep - 7/19/2013, 10:48 PM
seriously???! How long did it take them to put this movie togehter. Why the [frick] would you kill off a charecter right before he's about to make his animation debute?!

We know your going to bring him back DC. Why not just do it already!?
Pokeysteve - 7/19/2013, 11:02 PM
This is great news!! We don't have ANY Batman animated movies.

number1hero - 7/19/2013, 11:08 PM
......meh.....
SugarYumYum - 7/19/2013, 11:24 PM
More Batman. Yay.

AstroZombie - 7/19/2013, 11:33 PM
I hate Damian Wayne. Assault on Arkham sounds promising though, and when the hell are we gonna get a Knightfall adaptation?
Jollem - 7/19/2013, 11:35 PM
people like batman. they make batman stuff. better get used to it :)
AUSSYACE - 7/19/2013, 11:52 PM
Brilliant...

DC always produce the goods in Animation...

I cannot wait for the movie announcements now...
BlindJustice - 7/20/2013, 12:31 AM
I wonder if WB/DC are piling up on the animated stuff because they don't have much of anything live-action to talk about.

@Levi - I agree 100% on what you said about Bruce Timm. He's the heart of DC and is pretty much DC's modern day Stan Lee.
Bark4Soul - 7/20/2013, 1:13 AM
Haha who cares, Batman has enough great stories to do 10 more animated films. Maybe we'll see Hush one day
