Evangeline Lilly Talks Trying To Make TAURIEL The "Best Character Possible"
Evangeline Lilly, who will star in Marvel's Ant-Man, sat down and talked about how and why she wanted to make her character in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug the best, rather than having it disliked. Hit the jump to check it out!
Evangeline Lilly has recently shared more about her character, Tauriel, in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and this time she told how she had concerns that character wouldn't do good at first, but after the decision was made, she called it a blessing. ''It was totally liberating that Tauriel was a new character. I was, of course, aware that I would be under deeper scrutiny because people would be wanting to hate her, but once the decision was made to do it, then it was nothing but a blessing." She then adds, "At that point it was all about, 'Let's create the best character possible so that people have to fall in love with her' instead of, 'How do I live up to 50 years of people envisioning this character?'" I certainly think she played her role very well in the film and i think she will do great once again with the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in December! What do you think?
