Loving these "10 Must Haves" articles KHAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN. But I have to disagree with you on one point.

1. John Stewart: I not going to say you need a guy because of diversity, but I think John has some advantages over Hal in some regards. He's a much more professional, structured person and I would like to see that balance against the arrogant, devil-may care personality of Flash (if they use the Wally west version) The relationship between John and Wally was one of the best parts of the JL/JLU animated series, and I think it would be great to see that on film. Not that Hal and Wally wouldn't be, but they both seem to be jokesters, and I think that you need to have that contrast.

Awesome article though. Well thought out. In totally unrelated news

AGE. OF. FRICKEN. ULTRON!!!

I do apologize for bring up an unrelated topic onto this article. Fanboy in me took over.

BTW, I agree 137% on not releasing JL in 2015. Not only do I think it wouldn't be as good as it could (I'd still be first in line to go see it), but it wouldn't have the buildup.

John Stewart is a Green Lantern, Hal Jordan is the Green Lantern. By that regard, not that I don't want to see Stewart on the big screen, but Hal should at least be there first, in some capacity. Plus, it'd be a waste not to showcase his relationship with the Flash; if it's Barry, then it MUST be Hal, if it's Wally, then it's...Kyle, not John! And since they're just starting, I don't think the latter is a route Warner Bros. is likely to go down with - plus, Barry is to the Flash what Hal is to Green Lantern, after all.

You can't have a DC Universe without Hal. He's the one who drives pretty much every pivotal Green Lantern storyline. And if DC/Warner Bros. is going to expand the shared universe, that's the way to go.

I agree with all of these, ESPECIALLY the John Stewart one! Lol

And I'm glad they're finally releasing a Flash movie, but I wish WB would release two films in 2016 instead of just one. I would want the other film to be a Wonder Woman movie so that way, DC's BIG 5 (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern) would have all already been introduced before the Justice League movie.

It saddens me that they will NEVER get it right unless DC has it's own cinematic universe.

Why not both Jon and Hal be GL in a movie and everyone can be happy? Make an Green Lantern Corps movie featuring Jon and Hal as GL for the first time. Something new and original. Could be good if the right person can write it up to have 2 GL die and find 2Jon and Hal getting a ring at the same time. I would like to see that.
DaVinci31
DaVinci31 - 7/20/2013, 8:47 PM
Respect,though.

Oh and these movies need to be nothing like the marvel movies. There's a reason marvel fanboys don't even want whedon to direct jl if it were possible. DC is a universe filled with gods, who, one, could easily take out any of the avengers. Given that scope, dc films need to be. . .sophisticated. Marvel films are just a good time.

[frick] Aquaman. He has stepped his game up in recent years but in order for him to be effective you have to work around water. I dont think the movie should be on earth let alone my a major body of water. The movie should 65% be based on Apocalypse and he would dehydrate and be calamari by time the movie is over. [frick] Aquaman.

Otherwise I agree

Oh and I liked (clicked on the red thumbs up) your article
Brady1138
Brady1138 - 7/20/2013, 9:07 PM
I think John Stewart would work because you could sort of reboot Green Lantern without actually having to ignore the last movie. That way, we don't have to go through all that exposition dump again.
