Whispers68: "Twilight" actor won an award for best actor in fantasy TV show or movie over Brad Pitt in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and Hugh Jackman from "X-Men Origins: Wolverine...interesting. That was definitely a snub for me. How did he even win this over Daniel Radcliffe, I can't understand. As for TV show or horror movie best actor, I prefer Michael C. Hall from "Dexter" as opposed to Stephen from "True Blood." Can anyone explain to me how Megan Fox acted in "Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen?" How did she win best actress in a sci-fi movie? I was expecting Lena Headey. I'm definitely not watching this show.

I liked the Twilight Saga books, but the first movie was lame. It felt like watching a CW show. Looking forward to New Moon though!

MultiPurposePoni - 10/19/2009, 8:00 AM
Multi@ thats some dangerous sh*t to be spreading lol :D
teabag - 10/19/2009, 8:02 AM

This one isnt as good but pays off at the end lol

teabag - 10/19/2009, 8:17 AM
so megan fox won best actress????? LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just goes to show that you don't have to have an ounce of acting talent in order to win awards, you just have to look nice, apparently.
CorndogBurglar - 10/19/2009, 8:43 AM
Putting the word "BEST" next to those hacks makes them loose all credibility!!! They could have used "Most Popular" or "Overhyped" or somethin... jesus!
Shaman - 10/19/2009, 8:47 AM
@Shaman: 'Most Popular' fits the bill perfectly
MultiPurposePoni - 10/19/2009, 9:08 AM
Now i know why its called the scream awards :P
teabag - 10/19/2009, 9:09 AM
it actually had an impressive group of presenters. harrison ford, tobey macguire, johnny depp. most impressive indeed.
superdog - 10/19/2009, 9:29 AM
Superdog@ yeah...The presenters deserve the awards more than the winners :)
teabag - 10/19/2009, 9:32 AM

Zombies kick ass
Imran - 10/19/2009, 10:23 AM
Guys, I thought I would be alone in the Megan Fox situation or be called a Megan Fox hater but it seems I was wrong.

It isn't the Academy Awards or anything serious but "Best Actress?" Really? I didn't notice she acted in the movie. In order to be considered "Best," don't you normally have to display something better than the others in your category? Well, most award shows are fabricated when it comes to winners anyway. Kudos to her though

@ shaman

That would've been a better fit for the show, by stating, "most popular" or something along those lines because the day Brad Pitt loses an acting award to the likes of Robert Pattinson , that's just wrong on so many levels. The guy simply portrayed a vampire on the edge of suicide throughout the entire film. He was just so depressed in facial reaction, voice pattern, etc. That isn't serious acting, that's just appearing depressed. But a win is a win
Whispers68 - 10/19/2009, 10:30 AM

thwhtGuardian - 10/19/2009, 10:42 AM
for all the people that bad mouth true blood, have you guys given it a chance and watched it?? or is it just assumptions?? because true blood is very well written with good acting. and its not all sissified like twilight. its actually quite gory too! to put them in the same category is ridiculous.
CorndogBurglar - 10/19/2009, 10:58 AM
moviektheaterlad@ thers a film there lol :P

Tokyo@ totally agree :)
teabag - 10/19/2009, 11:00 AM
@ luffy

seriously. no one wants to see your videos. i know this sounds like a broken record, but you come on here, post comments that don't say anything other than, "cool", or "sounds good". and then you put lame anime videos up that no one cares about, and everyone gets annoyed with. you've been asked a million times to stop with the videos, but you don't. you don't even get into any conversations with anyone. are you just here to piss everyone off???
CorndogBurglar - 10/19/2009, 11:10 AM

teabag - 10/19/2009, 11:17 AM
CDB@i agree whole heartedly on the tru blood comments. that show is awesome and shouldnt be anywhere near a twilight discusion.

TEA@ please send me a box of that spray.
superdog - 10/19/2009, 11:34 AM
Superdog@ Scented or unscented..lol

teabag - 10/19/2009, 11:44 AM
I meant "Robert Pattinson" and not Stephen from True Blood as being a horrible choice over Brad Pitt.

I haven't watched more than one episode of True Blood though...I didn't like the first episode from season 1 so I was reluctant to give anymore a try. Everyone talked about how good the show was so I checked out the first one and due to the high expectation, I guess it fell flat for me. Perhaps if my friends didn't hype the show so much, my experience would've been different. I've also heard season 1 wasn't that good so I should begin with Season 2 as a friend mentioned...but how can I skip an entire season of a show?
Whispers68 - 10/19/2009, 11:51 AM
Whispers@ like i said up top i watched the 1st 3 episodes and thought it was crap...nothing happened and after whats realy 3 hrs you would expect something other than Paquins wardrobe malfunctions :P
teabag - 10/19/2009, 11:59 AM
I notice like every single comment has been a negative one about people or shows that shouldn't have gotten awards...Why don't we give a HURRAH! For the three Star Trek won:D And how bout Stan the Man baby woo hoo!!
SirExcalibur - 10/19/2009, 12:06 PM
Don't get me wrong, Twilight was a lame flick and the actors are just getting praise for being the 'In' kids of the year. But the movie was a horrible adaption of the book. The director didn't know how to stretch a dollar and doesn't know sh*t about special effects. That's why Summit didn't bring her back for the sequels.

From what I've seen of New Moon and Eclipse (the sequels), alot of Twilight haters will be surprised. Those vamps are hardcore fighters and the new directors (Chris Weitz/Golden Compass and David Slade/30 Days of Night) are going to showcase it.
MultiPurposePoni - 10/19/2009, 12:13 PM
I [frick]ing hate Twilight its a girls film we need a guy film with tits blood and action Twilight is bullshit.True Blood never seen it never will.Alice and Wonderland HATED the cartoon.Loved Watchmen.Star Trek was the SHIT!!!!!!!!.Transformers 2 meh

THATS IT! Im becoming a Vampire Rapper, check out my first single "Blood In Da Club" at www.myspace.com/recklessyouthdivision
RomeyRome2002 - 10/19/2009, 2:58 PM
A lot of undeserving winners there - Megan Fox and Twilight especially! I cant believe Dexter's Michael C. Hall got beaten by some guy from another vampire show!
joshw24 - 10/19/2009, 3:19 PM
Whispers68-- That looks coo!
Betty - 10/19/2009, 3:36 PM
I came across it last-night and already a website is saying it's one of the year's hidden gems.

You guys should check it out, I'll come back and mention what i thought of it after viewing it but the concept seems pretty cool.

@joshw24

I'm clueless as well...Michael always delivers in that movie and he's been consistent for nearly four seasons, how can this guy in one film surpass that consistency when he didn't do a darn thing?
Whispers68 - 10/19/2009, 3:39 PM
What a joke.
spideysweb - 10/19/2009, 4:35 PM
@ mranonymous

"we need a guy film with tits blood and action Twilight is bullshit.True Blood never seen it never will."

you just described true blood with those words. tits, blood, and action. yes there is a love story involved, but so do 98% of the "guy" movies that come out.
CorndogBurglar - 10/19/2009, 5:18 PM
@corndog

How'd you like Episode 1 from Season 1 of true blood?

Whispers68 - 10/19/2009, 5:40 PM
I am so sick of these Pseudo Vampire movies/tv shows. Doesn't anyone remember that Vampires are blood drinking monsters, not Dawson Creek/90210 wanna be lovee dovee heart throbs. I am so glad Bela Lugosi is dead and buried, it would have broken his heart to see the monster that he brought to life on the Silver Screen was raped by shows like Twilight and True Blood like Indiana Jones was raped by Lucas and Spielberg. I'm almost afraid to go see The Wolfman when it comes out because I'm afraid the Wolfman might fall in love with someone!
Jimdlux - 10/19/2009, 9:11 PM
@jimdlux

too late buddy...the wolfman will cry in this film and will end up singing and dancing in the rain professing his love to the world

It's sad because Hollywood believes the only way to make an action movie or movies of this genre successful, he (lead character) must be in love with someone or express the mannerisms of a teen soap opera drama. I for one adore the ending when bad guys actually triumph over good. It gets so lame seeing the bad guy getting caught by the cops at the end or dying.
Whispers68 - 10/20/2009, 1:04 AM
jeez guys how many of you have actually read twilight? the movie was so-so but please quit taunting the story franchise! i mean, there are lots of differnt vampire types and so on so forth, and all you guys can talk about is how stupid things are about it like how the vampires sparkle in the sunlight, I think it's a very interesting turn on the whole predator/pray thing. so unless you have read the books and have a real beef with it, shut up.
Mileena16 - 10/20/2009, 9:29 AM
@Mileena: Exactly! The way Stephanie wrote how vampires are the most dangerous predatory animals was brilliant!
MultiPurposePoni - 10/20/2009, 10:51 AM
Vampires are not predatory animals "THEY ARE MONSTERS"!! They manipulate the weak, not fall in love with their dinner!!! ...I blame Anne Rice... They make these books and movies that make people fall in love with them. Its like saying Sheriff Brody couldn't kill Bruce because he fell in love with him or Megatron decides to spare humanity because he fell in love with Megan Fox (not that I wouldn't blame him, she is hot!!) but...COME ON!!!! This is why there are no more good horror films.

@Whisper68
Oh God Please tell me you are kidding...

Well, I'd like to go and have a nice steak dinner, but Bessy the cow wants to get to know me better and fell in love with me and now I feel guilty about eating meat!!
