Screw the stupid realism overdone in TDK and bring in the Lazarus pit AND just make him a revived Ra's Al Ghul back from the dead. It's a CBM for crying out loud - GIVE it some fantasy elements!

MAn you guys WHINE WAY TOO MUCH! This hasnt even been confirmed! TDK had Joker, Gamble, Two Face, Maroni, The Russian, Scarecrow. thats 6 VILLAINS. I remember when people on this site complained about TDK's casting
and look how it turned out, it became THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CBM OF ALL TIME, critically AND commercially.

As for those wanting .. ahem.."fantasy" elements coz it's a comic book movie... Let's see here...
The main character (in Nolan's Batman movies) dresses up as a bat, rides these increadible armored car that leaps through roofs and when that car got blasted a motorbike came out of it. And let's not forget that the guy swoops through rooftops in his cape that morphs to wings!!
His adversaries are a deranged psychotic clown who wants to bring down order and spread chaos..., a League of ninjas lead by a man who wants to destroy the world, and let's not forget the half-burned DA who went nuts. Of course that's not counting the chick in the cat-suit and the beefed up masked rogue in the upcoming movie...

And because all that screams of realism and we see these things in the streets just about every day it's rather boring to see them again on screen!! So I guess yeah Nolan really ought to bring in some fantasy stuff into his so uber-real movies. Perhaps nolan should call Joel Schumacher for some ideas, right?!!

Who gives a crap about the Al Ghul's &League of Shadows, really??? The reason TDK was so much better than BB was because it had villains people actually recognized & liked. Catwoman & Bane are ok, I guess, but definitely would like a Riddler, Penguin, or some other big name. I couldn't careless about secret ninja daughters...

@MoumentheBatman, Batman Begins mostly HAS those fantasy elements that gives a sort of "mysticism" to Nolan's Batman that makes him seem larger than life. All I saw in TDK was a guy with throat cancer voice in a Batman costume trying to be Batman while driving a super-customized car while the movie gives away all explanation in regards to character motivation....

For me, Batman Begins was a lot better "story-wise". TDK is a good film, and I liked it for what it was, but it took itself way too seriously and bogged itself with trying to be too "real"... as for the psychotic analbags that you call a deranged psychotic clown -- we actually HAVE them in real life... only that we call them Terrorists, extremist jihadists, rapers, murderers, hate crime mongers, extremist racists, etc... and a few of them ACTUALLY DO want to bring down order and spread chaos regardless of mental stability.
