Is Tom Hardy Practicing "Break The Bat" Move in This TDKR Behind The Scenes Photo?

Probably not. But, a new behind-the-scenes image has found its way online, featuring Tom Hardy as Bane doing the famous move, that many fans will recognize, on one of the crew members during filming of The Dark Knight Rises...

While the details about Christopher Nolan-directed film The Dark Knight Rises are kept under wraps, there were couple of rumors that during the film, we will see Bane doing his famous "Break The Bat" move, injuring Batman's back. Even though we are probably not going to find that out until the release of the film, a SHH user found this rather cool behind-the-scenes image, featuring Tom Hardy as Bane doing that brutal move on one of the crew members. Check it out below.



If I have to guess, I would say he did this for the fans or something like that. Still, pretty cool nonetheless. What do you think?

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster “The Dark Knight.” The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

Wow, that's pretty cool...though I'm not sure if that's going to be in the movie. Not that it is the thing I'd want to see the most either, anyway!

Wow seriously dont piss Tom Hardy off, this is what happened to this guy when he gave Tom a cold cup of tea a few months ago

Tom spent months exhausting the crew member who wronged him until he was so exhausted that Bane fought him one on one and broke him. True story bro

Bane actually started young, breaking the backs of truckers . . . worked his way up to the Bat. I'm talking sh*t, I know. But I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!!!!!!! Argh!!!!

@Overfiend If were going to go for B-movie actor that cant act that Nolan would never cast; Vin Diesal is your Bane. The size, the presence, the look and the voice. Nolan could have directed him into looking like a real actor. The man was able to get a decent performance out of Michael J White, who at all times was threatening to [frick] up his lines. Always at the edge but just made it under annoying.

Mark my words: Bane kills Wayne, JGL takes up the cape. Whether Wb every makes a JGL-Batman movie, I have no idea, but I honestly think this is how Nolan leaves the *this* franchise.

Hardy doesn't even come close to having the build of the comic book Bane. So Batman can take out hundreds of foes but we are suppose to believe that Hardy can break his back.

It's probably just the crew member that asked for a cool picture. I would have done the same thing.

Maybe that's why most of the film is based 8 years after the dark knight. Maybe bane breaks Batman at the start of the film and it takes 8 years to recover?

You know Vin Diesel is much shorter than Tom Hardy right? Don't let his IMBD profile fool you is he much closer to 5'5 5'6. I have seen the man out and about and he is a short buff dude. I'm 6'2 and I have almost a whole foot taller than him. He is in Tom Cruises class in regards to height.


Anyway, I know I am in the minority but Bane looks stupid in the comics. I could never take him seriously because he looks really, really dumb. Nolan's take isn't what I would have done but I'm alright with it. It won't take me out of my suspension of disbelief, and Hardy CAN act so it should be a solid performance.

The big joke around the LA gyms is how tiny Vin Diesel is in real life. Now I don't live in the area anymore, had to move once I finished school, but my wife can even attest that she is taller than him at 5'10. Plus he only acted well in one movie Find Me Guilty. Everything else, meh. I liked the original fast and furious movie but the acting was terrible.
