Director Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While marooned on a lifeboat, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with the ship's only other survivor -- a fearsome Bengal tiger.



Directed by Ang Lee, and starring Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Gerard Depardieu and Rafe Spall, Life of Pi is set to hit US theatres on November 21st.

Calling it a "fantasy adventure" gives the wrong impression of the novel/film to the viewer. It is not what it sounds like.

c'mon, man. yeah, it was a dick move by him to unnecessarily shit-talk avengers. but he's a pretty good cinematographer. the guy's even won an oscar(s?) for it.

People who havent read the book will be a little shocked to how the movie unravels....its not what they will be expecting given how this movie is being marketed as a Fantasy adventure.

i haven't read the book but this looks fantastic. Thanks for the heads up about it not really being a fantasy adventure. I'll keep that in mind going into the theater
