As our very own wayonjones pointed out earlier, Val Kilmer was in attendance at Chicago's 2012 C2E2 (you can check out his article HERE). I was lucky to be the first one in line to sit right in the front row of the panel. Kilmer talked about not only parts of films such as Heat, Tombstone and even mentioned a little bit about voicing a character in Spider-Man: Edge of time.

What was most amazing for me was hearing about him talk about the chances of voicing a DC Animated Movie in which he just replies with a simple yes and proceeds to talk about working on Dreamworks first animated film The Prince of Egypt.

It's also very interesting to hear his thoughts on Bob Kane and Nicholson's performance as The Joker

Check out the video below of what I captured a Chicago's 2012 C2E2

If your interested in checking out the entire panel, check out Comicbookjerk.com, it should be posted there very soon. The panel includes lots of great information about Val Kilmer's Mark Twain project as well as his interest in doing more comedy.

CrimsonComedian - 4/18/2012, 7:59 PM
Pony tail and a fedora. Douche.
Netman0007 - 4/18/2012, 7:59 PM
He was Bob Kane's favorite so far for some reason. Go figure.
BlazinTexan - 4/18/2012, 8:00 PM

BlazinTexan - 4/18/2012, 8:03 PM
I actually think he is better than clooney and keaton.
Netman0007 - 4/18/2012, 8:04 PM
His DOC HOLIDAY is amazing
AUSSYACE - 4/18/2012, 8:05 PM
Saw this movie on TV the other day and watched the second half since I saw it the first time and it is BAD...

I actually thought Val Kilmer was alright but Camp had a new meaning in the 90's and Adam West' show even seems more serious at times than this era of Bat flicks...

The Villians were woeful and downright stupid in this...The Riddler was worse than Frank Gorshin and Two-Face I never want to remember...
BANE5000 - 4/18/2012, 8:06 PM
Loved him on SNL years back playing Iceman who now flies commercial jetliners and still says his lines from Top Gun..." i cant fly with you...cuz your dangerous " :D
BANE5000 - 4/18/2012, 8:07 PM
Atleast he did a decent job playing both Bruce and Batman as different characters...Clooney just played Clooney the whole damn movie, in and out of the suit.
AUSSYACE - 4/18/2012, 8:08 PM
Netman0007 - 4/18/2012, 8:09 PM

drykillogic22 - 4/18/2012, 8:26 PM
The Salton Sea was a great flick too..The scene with the wolverine going for his nuts was crazy..lol
DCnerd46 - 4/18/2012, 8:28 PM
Val has a great sense of humor, he's a good guy. Keaton will always be my favorite live action Batman by far though.
pro346 - 4/18/2012, 8:34 PM
The salton sea is a great movie....just made before he went on a kfc only diet.
GUNSMITH - 4/18/2012, 8:39 PM

blvdnoise - 4/18/2012, 8:44 PM
This is pretty much a repeat article from earlier today, just in video form.. I like Val Kilmer though. I hope he lands another big movie soon and can get back on track! Very strange and talented guy.
thewonderer - 4/18/2012, 8:45 PM
Why are there two articles on this >.>
darkmetal - 4/18/2012, 8:57 PM
He played Jim Morrison, now he can play Axl Rose.
kevberg - 4/18/2012, 8:58 PM
Kilmer, at the time of around the DOORS movie and TOMBSTONE had gotten a rep , if I remember correctly, of being a tad bit of a "ARTISTE'" type and thought very highly of himself and was difficult to work with. Then right around the time he did " Island of DR. Moreau " with one of his faves, Marlon Brando. The movie tanked big time and kinda was the start of his downturn. It was like he couldn't shake the the bad luck .

Hope he does well for himself and his luck gets better.

DId not enjoy his Batman though.
Bartman87 - 4/18/2012, 8:58 PM
Kilmer has done some really great work regardless of what he looks like now

Worst video player ever anyone post it on here with YouTube?
supafunxsta - 4/18/2012, 9:23 PM
I think he did an awesome job as BatMan considering the context...
Ceejay - 4/18/2012, 10:18 PM
Every Batman film or show before Batman Begins and The Dark Knight was cheesy crap except for The Animated Series. The Batman Animated series is still years ahead of every cartoon on TV today!
marvelguy - 4/18/2012, 10:21 PM
I wonder how many people bashing him for his weight gain are in the best shape of their lives?

He's a great actor. When he was given Batman, it was already being flushed by Schumacher.

Watch "Salton Sea," study "Felon." He's terrific.
Netman0007 - 4/18/2012, 10:33 PM
Keaton is still the man tho. Wish he'd do more movies. His improv is great.
bs77 - 4/18/2012, 10:37 PM
I was a huge fan of Val in the 80's and 90's. He still has the talent. I'd loved to see him hit the gym and take Hollywood by storm again. He faded too quickly.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/18/2012, 11:52 PM
He seems like he is having a lot of fun answering questions. I never thought I would say this, but he seems like a really cool guy.
marknjoanna - 4/19/2012, 12:53 AM
vals one of the most under rated actors of our time.and i blame yet another suky batman film for a lot of that.tombstone was a hall of fame job by a great actor.also i love how dc fanboys blame all the batman movies on the actors lol. val did to many good movies to blame him but what choice do you have gotta blame somebody huh same with george .oops another suky bat film must have been georges fault lamo on and on.
capMO - 4/19/2012, 1:01 AM
Kilmer was awful, the whole damn movie was awful, but still a masterpiece compared to Batman&Robin and Clooney was an even worse Batman
marknjoanna - 4/19/2012, 1:08 AM
dc fanboy always want to blame the actors.val cant act he ruined a good movie so lets get george. oops that movie suked to ole george must have forgot how to act like val did lmao.then we get a chity superman movie and you guessed it roth gets the blame.and last and prob. least was green lantern oh my my that movie must have been filled with bad actors lmao. i think its time you d c fanboys figure out its not the actors.and marvel rules
DocDeath - 4/19/2012, 3:00 AM
Keaton all the way
Ceejay - 4/19/2012, 4:38 AM
Keaton was the worse looking Bruce Wayne in history of Batmen, he looked like Billy Joel in the 80's, way far removed from suave or even a playboy. As Batman he was a midget with a very big head in a costume he could barely move in because of all the plastic set muscles they moulded.

Thank God no studio wants to work with him anymore, he was only ever gonna be a limited fanboy favourite like Adam West. Christian Bale is the only actor to get all three persona's of Batman correct; Bruce Wayne, Billionaire Playboy Bruce Wayne and Batman!
comicbookjerk - 4/19/2012, 5:08 AM
Here is the ENTIRE 1 hour panel if you guys are interested
DrRockso - 4/19/2012, 6:22 AM
He must be taking the same medication that made Ashley Judds head swell up
Tevii - 4/19/2012, 7:46 AM
Val Kilmer and Keaton are amazing actors. I think all the actors that played Batman did well. The problem was with the direction the films went. Clooney had the potential to be the best.
Sometimes not even the directors can be blamed. Its the stupid suits at the studios that demand certain things. Just look at what the guy told to Kevin Smith how they wanted a Superman movie to be. Pathetic
hoodedjester - 4/19/2012, 7:48 AM
he looked pretty good in the suit at the time
