The video may take a second or two to load... QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - Three camouflaged vehicles were parked outside of Summy Tire, and look exactly like the "Tumblers" being used in the filming for next summer's blockbuster "The Dark Knight Rises."
Terry Woodcock, who is from Quincy, builds and hauls specialty vehicles for the film industry. His work has been featured in "Fast Five", "Dukes of Hazzard", "Drive Angry", and "Deathproof" just to name a few.
"Once the movie is released, then I can talk about it. But when something is in the works, I'm not. These particular vehicles are supposed to be covered. I lost the tarps yesterday coming in, I've actually got somebody coming over now with tarps and ropes...but you guys beat him here," said Woodcock.
There are no cities in the Midwest that are scheduled for filming in the new Batman movies. It's pretty safe to assume that they are just there for maintenance, or for storing, til they need to be used in quite possibly at the Los Angeles set.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
