"He looked me dead in the eyes and I thought, 'I’m never going to be able to survive the onslaught that is Christian Bale, or Batman.'"

This television interview for the past week has been getting quite a bit of press. Not for The Dark Knight Rises, but for Tom Hardy's reaction to an old clip of the actor that apparently was unflattering.

The clip is from 1998 and features a young Tom Hardy winning a modelling competition on "The Big Breakfast." For about a week the talk has been about Hardy's reaction. You can see that he becomes extremely difficult during the interview. He looks off in the distance, acting as though he is disinterested in whatever Jonathan has to say.

After several minutes, and several apologies, Hardy slowly comes out of his shell and shares a rather amusing story about meeting Christian Bale on the set of Christopher Nolan's last Batman film. Skip to the nine minute mark in the video to listen to just the part about Tom meeting Christian Bale.
