Justice League: War, DC's animated adaptation of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's initial Justice League arc, is set to be the first (of many) films in DC's new shared animated universe.
War's producer James Tucker had this to say about how the film will affect future of DC's animated universe:

This will definitely be the first salvo in doing new movies that are in continuity with each other, our next movie's going to be 'Son of Batman,' and that Batman will be the same Batman that you see in 'Justice League: War.' Basically, we'll have two concurrent series of Justice League movies and Batman movies, and they'll be in continuity with each other. So it's kind of world-building.

Tucker went on to explain that DC plan on releasing three animated films a year, two of which will be in Justice League: War's continuity, while the other is out of continuity. 2014's third release (after Son of Batman) is Batman: Assault on Arkham, which takes place in the Arkham game series' universe.

You've definitely earned your status, DEV. You've been puttin' in work today. Keep it up, bud.

:)
Alphadog - 2/3/2014, 1:39 PM
This makes it sound like they'll only do Batman and Justice League movies from now on. I hope that's what what will actually happen.
npamusic - 2/3/2014, 1:41 PM
They've already tease the continuity with the JL:War Post-Credits scene.
anthonyEstark - 2/3/2014, 1:41 PM
Good Job making it to Trusted User, Dev, just keep it up!
Fastestmanalive - 2/3/2014, 1:42 PM
Pretty cool plan.
CaptainAmerica - 2/3/2014, 1:43 PM
K, now bring back Young Justice and tie it in as well. Or do a Justice League show similar to Young Justice and ill love your 4 ever DC.
CaptainAmerica - 2/3/2014, 1:46 PM
Wait, this also means Justice League Paradox is part of the same universe right?
kinghulk - 2/3/2014, 1:49 PM
tell you what put the people that are in charge of animation at DC in charge of DC's live action movies, just do it.
DEVLIN712 - 2/3/2014, 1:52 PM
CaptainAmerica
I think it's only everything after War
thebearjew - 2/3/2014, 1:52 PM
I noticed its the same voice n design for bats in son of batman and justice league war which I guess is the sequel to flashpoint paradox?
but yet flash didn't know batman in war
and at the end of flashpoint paradox he knew bats

thebearjew - 2/3/2014, 1:53 PM
I think this will be how they'll do live action universe too
bats supes movies then jl
CaptainAmerica - 2/3/2014, 1:53 PM
@Dev, doesn't Paradox lead right into War? Especially with the after credits scene in Paradox.
thebearjew - 2/3/2014, 1:54 PM
also people complaining about how they don't do other characters
(NOT superman and batman)
remember they DONT sell well
ALmazing - 2/3/2014, 1:56 PM
One of the great things about the DC animated movies was that they were translating iconic story lines into animation form and they featured animated styles similar to their original CB counterpart, but this new series just seems like a cartoon show with continuity, specially because all the movies are going to have the same animation styles... a cartoon series that instead of catching in TV I have to buy to watch, not sure what the appeal for their animated Universe is. I am going to miss the different animation styles and classic storylines.
Buu - 2/3/2014, 1:58 PM
They are still doing Animated Movies outside of this continuity. They have a Batman animated movie coming out after Son Of Batman called Batman: Assault on Arkham which is set within the Arkham Video games continuity.
Nubase - 2/3/2014, 1:59 PM
Looking forward to the arkham dc movie, that one is linked to the arkham video game, has to be a classic!
blackagar94 - 2/3/2014, 2:00 PM
Well if the continuity is like in the comics, the scene between Flash and Batman at the end of Paradox is in the present, while War takes place in the past, 5 years in the comics, and probably just months for the movies.
grifdeadpoolteabag - 2/3/2014, 2:00 PM
Now they realize this?
BboiBlack - 2/3/2014, 2:00 PM
WHY NOT JUST START AN NEW ANIMATED SERIES.
thebearjew - 2/3/2014, 2:02 PM
aaaaaahhhhhhhh right !

thank you @blackagar94
JorL5150 - 2/3/2014, 2:02 PM
eh... this is cool i guess.

"paradox" was cool, but way too gory and violent. at least for a pg13 cartoon.
beheadings, face stabbings, all over 3rd degree burnings, and those were the good guys.
thebearjew - 2/3/2014, 2:03 PM
@mrblackjack the dcAu still goes on in comic form
batman beyond universe comic series
thebearjew - 2/3/2014, 2:03 PM
Jorl51
ya it was great
JorL5150 - 2/3/2014, 2:03 PM
i LIKE that the animated films are all in different versions. it gives them plenty of wiggle room.
TheSoulEater - 2/3/2014, 2:03 PM
Why? The movie was shit
Ineedrevelation - 2/3/2014, 2:06 PM
It was alright. A bunch of sound and fury and no substance but alright.

Better than Man of Shit.
lastCzarnian - 2/3/2014, 2:07 PM
Assault on Arkham? Ooooo, sounds fun!
Super12 - 2/3/2014, 2:07 PM
I'm glad they're gonna make a movie focusing on Batman. He's a pretty underused property that really deserves his time in the limelight.
ScorpioRisin - 2/3/2014, 2:11 PM
Ehhh, I didn't really liked JL:W that much. Doesn't mean they can't improve with new movies in this continuity, so, bring it on.
InfiniteMonkey - 2/3/2014, 2:11 PM
More Green Lantern!
More Flash!
More Cyborg!
More Wonder Woman!

More Beer!
DestinyAboveUs - 2/3/2014, 2:13 PM
Im a huge ass Batman fan like millions of people but even I want to see other characters come to life. Like at last years comic con when they announced two Batman animated films beside Justice League War I was actually disappointed. And I love Arkham series on PS3 and never read Son of Batman (that gives more incentive to watch). Like I'll definitely watch Son of Batman and Assault on Arkham, but DC needs to expand to other characters, both in the film and animated department.

UltimateHunt - 2/3/2014, 2:14 PM
This movie is AWESOME, I like it better than MoS crap. Seriously this movie made me care for cyborg, CYBORG! (I always though he was just lame and boring) even WW in this film was great, her best portrayed in movies. They made Green lantern funny and likeable, they show how Batman TRUELY has to be, Superman was how powerful he truely is. Im cheering for marvel characters in movies, same for dc but they dont have nun yet and MoS was Meh of steel, snyder besides taking notes on marvel they definitely need to take notes to this movie. I saw it twice already recommend to any CBM fan. Story, timing, development, action, amd of course animation. A 4/5 movie
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 2/3/2014, 2:15 PM
So, no more Conroy?
Interestein - 2/3/2014, 2:15 PM
Awesome! I'm not really excited for SON OF BATMAN though. I wish they'd do a 2-part KINGDOM COME adaptation.
Interestein - 2/3/2014, 2:16 PM
Also, let's get a COURT OF OWLS movie!
Patient2670 - 2/3/2014, 2:18 PM
Didn't they at some point mention doing an Aquaman story? Where is that?
