these are actually good. I think these actors would work for these characters.

I wish Donald Glover was actually Spider-Man. That would've been [frick]ing hilarious. I usually hate when they change a characters race in the films, but Glover would've been just too awesome to hate :)

Nice cast. Why didnt you switch the race for Luke Cage?

My white Luke Cage is either Gerard Butler or Steve Austin.

Like ive told many people, if you dont like it- then dont visit me... Why continue to give me the attention or buzz if you abhor my work? Of course you wouldnt understand that concept... by the little orange icon under your name- lets me know how mentally unstable you are... GTFO out of here you 12 year old, butch troll and take your purse with you

@jjmeylar

I couldnt understand why people ((which is only a few by the comments Ive read)) detest our fictional fancast. Especially when there's always a Brit version of every CB hero floating around, but no one argues... All this lets me know, is that its not a nationality problem, its race. It wont work for a black guy to portray a white character but a foreigner can? Blacks have been long time fans of fictional novels to be disdained! Clearly, you can see how perplexed and fatigued I am by this venial obstacle. A lot of users like to throw in that "black character turn white" card, but answer me this: Would you purloin from the poor? Would you steal from the penniless? Of course the normal man ((not Jackdexx.. he isnt a man)) would say they wouldnt mug a poor man, so why take the little Black characters we have from us? Why take the few DC or Marvel individuals we have?

A lot of people said Idris Elba as Heimdall would never work, but look how it turned out... God is good!

I am thankful for your support! You and ellispart3 are like Mary and Pippin to my brother and I! By the way jj... Lord of the Rings or Watchmen are our next thing

God bless you jjmeylar

I don't think that it was necessary to insult Jack like that. His opinion wasn't one of a pathetic individual. It made sense. It's not like he was using racial slurs or anything. I respect his opinion as much as I respect yours. Thanks for the compliment, though. Merry and Pippin are great characters. :)

Now it's time to discuss what you had to say to me ((aside from the spectacular compliment)). First I'd like to point out that I'm not against the idea of these fan casts. I even mentioned that "They're great, in theory." I was merely pointing out that I'm not in favor of them as more than an idea. I once wrote a fan fiction that worked as a story, but would never even REMOTELY work as an official work. Now that I've said these things, it's on to the other aspects of your comment.

I don't see how the foreigner thing comes into play. If they manipulate their accent, then the foreign aspect has no baring. The problem about changing the race is the look of the character. It's the exact same problem that there would have been if John Krasinski has played Steve Rogers. He doesn't even REMOTELY look the part. I don't care how you slice it. It's not about a person's race. It's never been about that, to me. It's about fitting the description of the character. Do you want Gwen Stacy to have black hair? Do you want Blade to have a pink Mohawk? How about an obese Catwoman? Maybe an orange Solomon Grundy is more your style. Perhaps Kelly Preston should play the Flash. Do you get how ridiculous these things would be if they were in the official media? They're all fun to mess around with as ideas, but at the end of the day: they should STAY ideas. That's why I wouldn't, in any way, support the production of a film that changes the race of a main character. Heimdall is NOT a main character. He played an important part in the film, but he wasn't one of the leads. Elba's performance was spectacular enough to make me look past physical changes to non-lead characters. I was against it until I saw the film. He more than nailed it, though. I just don't think that physical changes should be made to main characters.

One more thing. Next time I post in a poll results page, please reply to me on there. It was only by a twist of fate that I looked on this page, again. I usually check back on other pages that I post in, though. Later days and God bless you and your loved ones.

@jjmeylar

Jack: You dont know jack like I do... he's uncouth and doesnt care about my or your opinion… he’s the type to disdain you if you oppose… I have no remorse for this character
For the foreigner thing and “fitting the description”: I was trying to compare how ((in real life)) Americans don’t have much work b/c a lot of jobs have been transported overseas ((as has Hollywood)). The change of the race shouldn’t be a problem if everybody are supposedly “no racist” ((not calling you that at all)). Aside from fiction, when I look at the general roles (jobs) of Blacks, they have changed since the early 20th century. People thought the idea for a Black to become president or to be well educated (Black people) was completely irrational. Why? Because of bigotry, ignorance, dearth of support and the lack of Blacks to stand up for themselves ((over the years, we’ve increased)). For example, Blacks have become most of the best inventors which includes developments like the stop light, computers (booker t Washington), light bulbs, spark plug, refrigerators, air condition… the list goes on. These people proved that no matter how they look (whether skin color) they had contributions and desires to change the world. Me and you wouldnt be chatting online without Booker T Washington ((or sit up in a house of A/C and oppose Blacks in CBM-hypocritical))… so we cant confine a race or say that they cant play a fictional character in a movie because “the race is the look of the character”… especially when these films are based on a CB… Just think about it if Booker just left his inventions as “idea[s]”… the world would be screwed! Let me take you back to when films were first being made: Not only were Blacks not allowed to portray them truthful selves in movies but whites had the jobs (as blacks). ((not blaming you)) Ever seen black and white colored films (( around 1848)) where a white guy has a black painted countenance and snowy painted lips?? Its 2011, I leave it up to anybody who reads this to use their imaginations…
I’m not saying its white people’s fault for us not being able to lead in a CBM, a venial portion of it is us: where we don’t declare what should be right… now that’s Where JacobCityBros come in!
One more thing: jj, I couldn’t post this in the Poll section… it wouldn’t respond, but it so happened that it would only work in the article section… sorry… plus I’ve been busy at my seminary and karate lessons to rejoin the thread as often

Dude, this isn't about the advancement of black people. Some of the best entertainers, factory workers, campus library workers ((this one I know from a friend of mine)), lawyers, soldiers, farmers, and so on are black. I'm just talking about how people should look the part. You can't seem to understand this issue. You keep throwing out red-herrings. Face it, bro: you've got nothing left in your argument. You put up a good intellectual discussion, it goes down the drain as soon as one of the big fallacies is thrown in. Much love, though.

RE:

-we cant confine a race or say that they cant play a fictional character in a movie because “the race is the look of the character”...especially when these films are based on a CB

((for the example I used Blacks from the past and how they broke barriers [they were doubted because of the way they "look"... take a peek at the faces of the presidents of the past and how it is now]... the same are applied to Blacks portraying white characters in movies))

Frm jjmeylar

You keep throwing out red-herrings.

-These people proved that no matter how they look (whether skin color) they had contributions

((Contributions meaning to entertainment... because at the end of the day its all about entertaining the audience to whom each have an opinion... right?))
