I'm sure you recall seeing the recent rumors that Adam West had been spotted hanging around the Nottingham set of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Well, according to FLOSS Magazine, the man who played Batman in the 1960's WILL indeed have a cameo in the upcoming movie. Take it with a pinch of salt for now, but here's what they had to say via Twitter earlier today.

With an all star cast which includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate, The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

Hate to be a grouch about this, but sounds kind of lame to me. I think I would find it kind of distracting. Of coure hypocrite that I am, I love all the Stan Lee cameos in the Marvel films.

@JR

Michael Keaton!

ok technically Kevin Conroy is first. but assuming it's live action.

sorry, i think Bale is brilliant, but his Batman's voice is just too goofy for me.

Maybe he'll be the.... Mayor? ;) (Family Guy reference)

It'll be funny if there's a scene with the councilmen of Gotham made up of all the past Batman's! From West to Clooney XD

POW! THWACK! SHAZAM! Yeahhhh, this'll be straaange to see in a Nolan Batman film... Although, I do love Adam West, so i'm still pretty psyched! To an extent... As long as they don't try to make him the next Stan Lee.

I don't believe it, too corny for a Nolan movie. "Hollywood big-wigs"? Sounds real professional.

Older Bruce maybe? I think it would be interesting if he played Mayor Grange like he did on The Batman. Sort of a shout-out.
