The cover to Avengers #19 reveals the new team put together by Steve Rogers after "Fear Itself", along with a brand new costume for Hawkeye, which is far closer to that seen in the recent promotional material for the movie...

Just as THOR and Captain America: The First Avengers had an effect on their respective comic book counterparts (the return of Steve as Cap, Odin coming back from the afterlife) it seems The Avengers is already working its way into Marvel's 616 continuity with an all-new costume for Hawkeye! Gone are the colorful boots and mask, replaced instead with an outfit far more similar to the one recently unveiled in movie concept art. What do you think about this new team of Avengers? And more importantly, what about Clint's new look? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Was Logan an afterthought and what IS Spiderman doing with his hands? There's no webs! These look like window clings.

I love the art, and kind of like the new costume for Hawkeye. Great team of Avengers as well... :)

I'm quite glad they've ditched the classic purple duds, actually. Ultimate Hawkeye was the coolest the charcters been, in a long, long time. Especially in Ultimates 2. This is the new and improved Hawkeye.
But, if they want to align 616 with the MCU, they should have at least one of the many, many Avengers titles feature the line-up from the movie.

They should create an Avengers book that specifically showcases the team in the movie.

I hate it as much as I hate the fact that Jeremy Renner is Hawkeye...that's a lot of hate...

Hey now.. the art isn't bad, i would actually say it's great. But i don't really like the way Hawkeye's costume looks.

Thirdly.... When is Marvel gonna stop killing off characters that we know will be brought back in a few months? If you're gonna kill somebody make it someone that will have meaning and a lasting effect on people in the Marvel U. What I am saying is " Kill Aunt May!"
The dynamic change it would cause in the life of Peter Parker would ripple for years. (If they don't bring her back as Phoenix or a new Madame Web or some shite.)

I've always loved Hawkeye's suit. This is just too similar to the Ultimates look for me. Love seeing T'Challa and Vision on the roster though!!!

Bucky was already great as Cap and Steve was doing fine as Super Soldier. Too bad they had to kill Bucky again. :(

I'm starting to lose faith in Marvel. I think the Avengers project is ruining their movies.

Ironman was cool
Incredible Hulk was great
Ironman 2 was alright but a bit of a mess
Thor was alright but felt rushed
Captain America would have been better if it was split in two and filmed back 2 back.

Part I ending with Cap rescuing bucky on his 1st mission

Part II Cap & the invaders/howling commandos take on hydra

This would have allowed the story to breathe and built up the relationship with peggy more.

The Avengers movie better be worth it...

Killing Bucky again was one of the most stupid ideas ever! Brubaker took what was essentially a very campy, Robin clone from the '40s and turned him into one of the most awesome charaters in recent years and Marvel goes and kills him a few years later? Stupid.

Oh good. More of the characters Bendis has a hard-on for.

At least Jessica Jones isn't leading them... yet.

Hate it! While the more "realistic look" may be needed for the film, leave the comics alone.

Sgh.

Wolverine and Spiderman so DO NOT belong on the AVENGERS.

Why are they there. They are and have always been completely out of place.

MARVEL, seriously, your characters can stand on their own ithout having to put Wolverine and Spiderman in everything.

Hawkeye's costume looks stupid. I understand making it look like in the movie, but his classic costume works fine in comics.

But I'm glad Vision is back!

@ ironpool

I hope that was a joke...

I wish it was Cyclops instead of Wolverine since Schism pretty much takes him out of the X-Men. And I guess Bendis is continuing the Hawkeye/Spider-Woman romance here. Poor Mockingbird.

Is that a Kree soldier to the left?

Hawkeye's costume looks like shit.

Comics need to stand on their own and not be influenced by the movies or TV shows. I mean if a great idea comes out of another media, I am not opposed to it, but I hate to see change just because it is in a movie.

For instance, I think an all black Batman outfit like in the movies makes sense, but the comics need to be the source, not bend to what is in other media.

Don't like the costume, either.

Also, I can see Spidey being on Avengers, but not the FF, too.

The less said about Wolverine, the better. His powers and overexposure are too much.

about time to ditch the ridiculous purple, wolverine-esque mask....all of them need modernized versions of their costumes. like the rebooted DCU. cap is still sporting wings? wolverine still has that stupid mask? the only one with permanent changes in his costume is iron man.

I figured that Marvel would do something like this. Try and make some characters look move like thier movie counterparts that is.

They did the same thing when the X-Men movies were popular. WOlverine kept getting a little taller every other issue for a while lol
