There have been many representations of Superman on the big and small screen since his creation, with Henry Cavill being the latest to don the iconic suit in 2013's Man of Steel. Rather than include every interpretation (such as the 1950's era serials) I've instead gone for what I consider to be the best known versions, starting with Christopher Reeve, all the way up to Dean Cain, Tom Welling (even though he barely wore it) Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill. While we're yet to see the latter in action as Superman, between the official image and set photos, I think there's more than enough to warrant his inclusion in this poll. So, it's now up to you! Which of these costumes do you think has been the best interpretation of the DC superhero? You know what to do...

Actually Tom Wellings suit is the best one because it had the S shield on the cape :P not saying that Smallville was good or anything but at least they got that right.

This shouldn't have anything to do with the actor. It is supposed to be based on the costume. I am not a fan of anyone who has played Superman to date, but I like the original costume the best. The colors in the new one are too subdued and I like the more vibrant colored Superman.

Isn't the Smallville suit more or less the same as the Returns suit?
Anyways, I personally like Cavill's suit by far, but Reeve's was obviously more faithful to the source material.

Welling shouldn't even be on that poll. No matter what suit you like best (my favorite is Dean Cain's) having Welling on that list is a slap in the face.

Dead Cain looks like a Jersey Shore reject in cosplay. GTFO. For me the best suit is Cavill's, Reeve second.

Cain's would be better if he ever wore it from time to time on that damn show.... Im split between Reeves and Cavill. Reeves being the more faithful adaptation and Cavill's being the more practical (and awesome looking)

new suit really won me over coz im so not a superman fan,for starters his costume was dumb,so i could never take the guy seriously but now its entirely different.

love the new kick ass look.the set pic photos are looking great and now really looking forward to this.

that suit is just awesome :)

A stupid hair curl and glasses does NOT hide your identity at all, Lois must be the dumbest woman in the world if she doesnt know her lover works with her ever day, I mean come on, are you people saying I could put on glasses and my girlfriend wouldnt know it was me, thats BS.
