Talking to Newsarama about the success of the recent relaunch of their comic book line with 52 #1 issues, DC's senior vice president of sales Bob Wayne, and John Rood, the company's executive vice president of sales, have unveiled the following covers to the fourth issues of Justice League and Detective Comics. If you're interested in hearing what they had to say about all that, you can read the lengthy interview by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page. It's revealed in that article that Justice League #1 is now the best selling comic book of 2011. While recent years have seen him become something of a laughing stock with many fans, it looks like Geoff Johns and Jim Lee plan on delivering one hell of a bad ass take on the character.

UPDATE: Thanks to Comic Book Resources, who have a similar interview with Rood and Wayne, we also have the cover to Action Comics #4.

And I don't see the point of doing Cyborgs origin in the book because its quite predictable, well how he becomes a Cyborg is pretty obvious.

The gloves are really over-sized.
The scales look like he's wearing a fish net vest!
The necklace looks really gay.

I can't get on board with his costume.

Looks pretty cool, but its not really his costume, I mean its pretty much the same as always but Lee's art is awesome.
JL was ok as was Action comics, kinda meh actually, but Detective was pretty awesome, the best yet so far imo, definetely gonna be on my monthly list. and suprisingly Batgirl was also very decent.
But everything else so far hasent blown me away.

Too bad Aquaman's suit is associated with the way his character was previously handled. This suit isn't bad at all, but those chains have to go. This is a character who should be powerful like Namor. Namor wore green speedos, and was still a cool character. It's not the suit its how you portray the Aquaman. No way can he kick Superman or GLs butt, still cool cover.

Jim Lee's art is always awesome. even if i'm beginning to hate him a little for doing this reboot.

i've never been a huge DC collector or Aquaman follower, but i have also never understood why no one has figured out a compelling angle on Aquaman.

marvel72 is biased, but happens to be correct.
