Every hero has a journey. Every journey has an end. Christopher Nolan returns to complete the epic Gotham trilogy that launched with Batman Begins and reached the stratosphere with the billion-dollar blockbuster The Dark Knight. Batman is now hunted by the law led by his friend Commisioner Gordon for taking the blame of Harvey Dent's murders and protecting his reputation. He must quickly deal with the arrival of new villain Bane who is bent on the destruction and chaos of Gotham City, face old wounds and get a handle on the enigmatic Selina Kyle before his city is lost for good.

Hoping for Catwoman? Well, I'm afraid it looks as if Warner Bros. are still keeping her under wraps for the time being, but they have seen fit to allow Empire Magazine to release yet another official image of Bane on their subscribers only cover. The site has not yet unveiled this officially, but here is a photo uploaded to Twitter by @dotstarss.

On the giant screen, with the thundering soundtrack, this Bane will give us nightmares.
Mystery - 11/21/2011, 3:06 AM
Huuge! O_O
AlcoholicA - 11/21/2011, 3:12 AM
Right lighting and angle makes him look a lot bigger. I'm thinking Nolan had the brains to film him with that in mind.
croniccris - 11/21/2011, 3:13 AM
haha awesome...
marvel72 - 11/21/2011, 3:13 AM
best photo of him,but the mask is still shit.
GUNSMITH - 11/21/2011, 3:16 AM

HE LOOKS BIGGER THERE. I'M TRYING TO NOT THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT WHAT WE KNOW AND KEEPING AN OPEN MIND ABOUT IT BECAUSE NOLAN'S APPROACH IS NOT HOW ANY OTHER DIRECTOR WOULD APPROACH TAKING ON BATMAN. HECK WE TAKE ONE LOOK AT THIS NEW BANE AND AUTOMATICALLY QUESTION WHY THIS AND THAT, SOME DON'T CARE, COMIC FANS WILL ATTACK THE LOOK BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE OR WHAT..JUST LIKE THE JOKER HE'S GIVING US SOMETHING NEW. I'M READY TO SIT IN A THEATER, EVEN IF THE MOVIE GOES FOR THREE HOURS, I'M READY TO SEE WHAT HE'S DOING WITH THIS...

Jolt17 - 11/21/2011, 3:35 AM
That's Bane...yes. Quite honestly now this movie looks way better, after those boring set pictures. Keep things like these coming and it'll shape up even better for me. :)
MrSuperheromoviefan - 11/21/2011, 3:41 AM

Rahman - 11/21/2011, 3:44 AM
this is huge..........!!!
ckal - 11/21/2011, 3:45 AM
The best image of him so far.

But anyone can look big when they fold and press their arms against their body.
95 - 11/21/2011, 3:52 AM
That's a great cover. Great angle, makes me confident that he'll be massive on DP Pfister's reels.
miguelus - 11/21/2011, 3:53 AM
...you go tommy!! you show them haters how you be working them big guns you got! looking all badass and shit! lol...
SageMode - 11/21/2011, 4:09 AM
Eh, cooler than his other pictures. Still hate the mask though
PaulRom - 11/21/2011, 4:14 AM
Looking pretty big there.
comiccow6 - 11/21/2011, 4:16 AM
That image is awesome! If you look closely, it looks like Bane's mask is a giant mouth with big teeth.
NeoBaggins - 11/21/2011, 4:19 AM
Undeniable. I was wondering if he would be cut. The other mag pics and this one says... YES. And he looks menacing.

Can't [frick]ing wait til the footage hits.
NeoBaggins - 11/21/2011, 4:28 AM
The mask looks the sickest I've seen it since the pics started.
MovieMaster - 11/21/2011, 4:46 AM
He's [frick]ing huge!!!
darthbobtarkas - 11/21/2011, 4:53 AM
Now THAT is brilliant!
BANE OH JOY ITS BANE.
HarveyDent88 - 11/21/2011, 5:02 AM
EPIC......
dmm5 - 11/21/2011, 5:09 AM
My only complaint is the height....

Everything else about Bane is PERFECT
StrangerX - 11/21/2011, 5:20 AM
Can't [frick]ing wait. He looks so much better without the tattoos
HarveyDent88 - 11/21/2011, 5:36 AM
@StrangerX Agree!
CBMfan001 - 11/21/2011, 5:38 AM
Bane looks EPIC,the best villain to follow up the joker, the only villain that can offer a challenge to batman, just like in comics.
RunDTC - 11/21/2011, 5:50 AM
THAT look awesome.

that's what she said
marvel72 - 11/21/2011, 5:59 AM
@ skulldeath

no i'm not a rey mysterio fanboy, but i do prefer the look from the comics.
SHHH - 11/21/2011, 6:02 AM
This Is Better Than Lookin Like Nacho Libre Mask...
sheebz - 11/21/2011, 6:06 AM
@Rbfn04 LMFAO superstar!! that's too funny
Ranger14 - 11/21/2011, 6:19 AM
Rbfn04@ lol...so true. I will reserve the "he's huge" talk until we see what he looks like in the film. All the other images we have seen to date indicate he isn't that big and he won't be walking around with his arms crossed like that the whole film.
dahamma - 11/21/2011, 6:20 AM
i gotta admit this is a much better pic of him
soforizo - 11/21/2011, 6:46 AM
The kool-aid must be extra spiked today, cuz lets just say I could understand all the fanboy howling if that was Bane pre-serum. =(
marvel72 - 11/21/2011, 7:00 AM
@ illwill

why not? if chris nolan is this supposed "god of a film maker" (rolls eyes) he would of made it work.

as i said the cover is the best photo i've seen of bane, shame the mask actually the whole look of bane is shit.
JayOh - 11/21/2011, 7:01 AM
I keep trying to make myself like Bane's look but I don't. At least Heath was still recognizeable as the Joker. If you didn't know this was Bane you wouldn't know this was Bane. Not saying they had to do the Luchador mask but maybe something more closely resembling it. I understand a lot of guys loyalty to Nolan due to giving us two great Batman films but that doesn't mean this look is ok.

Also I agree that he looks huge here due to the folding of his arms and angling. If Nolan can pull that off through the whole movie then cool. I think he will though because if you look at the end of the trailer when Bane is coming up the steps closing in on Batman he looks huge due to the angle it's shot if not because of venom. I also am not so keen on him being so short. But that's just honest opinion not bashing seeing as I saw dark knight about 6 times in theatres and hopes this is just as epic. I admittedly am ready for the more source material inspired reboot too; which probably still will be leaps and bounds behind Nolan's films but cool to see if done right.
Bodwulf - 11/21/2011, 7:02 AM
@Rbfn04 LOL so that is why he wears the mask, so as not to smell his pits!!!
JayOh - 11/21/2011, 7:04 AM

R888 - 11/21/2011, 7:09 AM
Bane looks badass

Look at those [frick]ing muscles
larzjarrod1 - 11/21/2011, 7:23 AM
this could be him already on the venom i unnderstand that foldiind your arms cam make you loo bigger but god damn he was'n that huge in the set photos
soberchimera - 11/21/2011, 7:28 AM
@JayOh
Any Batman fan would assume that a bald muscular dude with a mask on was Bane. Plus Joel Schumacher already tried Bane your way and it sucked. At least Nolan is going to get his personality right this time.
Minghagz - 11/21/2011, 7:35 AM
Best pic! Looks [frick]ing sick as hell! I'm pretty excited, not going to lie. Here's to 2012!
LMB10 - 11/21/2011, 7:36 AM
REALLY hope this films good. Loved the first two.

I have faith in you Nolan.
RockNRollFrankenstein - 11/21/2011, 7:37 AM
Dammit, why won't any of these images show up?
