I really wish I didn't read the leaked script a few years ago. Seems like they're sticking with a lot of the main parts of it.

@ThePowerCosmic I think it's part of the new timeline but with an expansion. Some character being introduce but some re-casted.

I think it's the new altered timeline. No X-Men Origins happened so no Weapon XI. Which is why Deadpool never went through the procedure and remains the merc with the mouth we all know and love.

@HOTSHOT The Weapon XI program did happen, if Deadpool heals then it did happen. My guess is that we see Mystique become Stryker in DoFP that the way everything happened changed but it still happened. Simply with better results than that barakapool thing we got the first time

It's a stretch saying this one big guy in a mocap suit is Colossus, but yeah, it could be.

And for those who don't remember, Cudmore announced months ago that his time as Colossus was over.

Marvel has everything connected. Everyone else has the freedom to connect only what they want, when they want it.
If it ties in, they'll let you know.

I didn't really think of this in the X-men timeline when I read the script. It's not that it couldn't fit, but it almost seems on its own from the script (thank God). I mean Wade takes a jab at Origins version of himself. I suppose it could be but I read the script before DoFP, so I maybe. Either way, I stoked they're still going with what appears to be the original script. It really captured the feel of a Deadpool comic.

This is actually making me a bit hopeful for the film for some reason. I haven't the slightest idea why this is the thing, just glad to see collosus again I guess.

I don't like the idea of colossus being in this movie with a different actor. Makes it feel like this movie somewhat seperate from xmen even tho it's in the same universe. Just like when edward Norton got recast, now it feels like the Incredible Hulk doesn't even exist in the same mcu anymore

A lot of people read the screenplay, I see. But, if they are using a different actor for the motion capture of Colossus, I don't see the point of it. They should just use the same actor because the only thing that's really changing is his skin and hair maybe, not his size or anything else; it's not like he's the Hulk.

Colossus is my favourite X-man, but the guy in the suit seems a little rotund to be based as CGI for colossus, does he not?

Could it be Cable? He's a pretty big dude, too.

But those who are saying this dude is fat, no way. He's just a huge, powerfully-built dude.
