George Miller Might Direct A DC Movie; But MAN OF STEEL 2 Could Be "On Permanent Hold"

The other day we heard the rumor that Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller was in line to helm Warner Bros.' direct sequel to Man Of Steel, but a new report calls into question when - or even if - that movie will see the light of day. More past the jump...

By all accounts, George Miller is indeed chatting to Warner Bros. about directing one of their DC comic book movies - it just may not be Man Of Steel 2. According to Den Of Geek, Miller is looking at a future DC project but what he settles on will ultimately "depend on what story most interests him, his take on it and everyone's availability."

So while that doesn't rule a Man Of Steel sequel out, it seems more likely the studio would be trying to focus on finding someone to helm one of the movies already on their jam-packed slate. Plus, the site also reports that, from what they've heard, the sequel is actually on "permanent hold", anyway. Does that mean it's been abandoned completely, or it's just not a priority for WB at this moment in time?

From what we understand, the studio is very excited about Ben Affleck's turn as Batman and is already mapping out a trilogy of solo movies focusing on that character - so it's entirely possible ol' Supes has been placed on the back burner for the time being. Hey, maybe Miller will try his hand at the Dark Knight instead.

What DC movie would you most like to see Miller direct?
