Zack Snyder looks like much more of SUPERMAN fan than any other director who ever going to healmed it before him.
marvel72 - 11/4/2013, 7:02 AM
gonna order the steelbook edition of this.
HugoStrange87 - 11/4/2013, 7:02 AM
I've been saying the same thing. Snyder is a fanboy.
InfiniteMonkey - 11/4/2013, 7:04 AM
Love it!
Where are the full cuts man?
Don't want to have to spend the dough for that Blu-Ray! LOL
...guess I'll have to fetch it.
JayJayCAW - 11/4/2013, 7:06 AM
I agree too, Snyder does take these characters seriously which I love the guy for, I just wish they gave him some good writers to work with cause even though I loved Man Of Steel, everything that it was lacking was due to David S. Goyers writing :(
SuperCat - 11/4/2013, 7:06 AM
Hey Mark, tell Ror to stop playin' and give me that blu-ray!

JoeMomma29 - 11/4/2013, 7:11 AM
Movie of the year!
MarkV - 11/4/2013, 7:15 AM
I think you are right JayJay. I enjoyed the film but there was some cringeworthy writing. The scene at the graveyard with Ma Kent, the general saying "I don't know who they are, but I think they are about to make a .... dramatic entrance."

I will be buying the blu-ray however. It was still a pretty decent film.
TheMexicanSuperman - 11/4/2013, 7:17 AM
Man of Steel and Watchmen are the best cbm ever. Frick the haters.
marvel72 - 11/4/2013, 7:17 AM
@ monkeyballs

JackJensen - 11/4/2013, 7:20 AM
Can't freaking wait to see Man Of Steel on my new 60" LED TV! Unfortunately I only got to see it once in theaters on a regular screen, not imax or 3D :(. Hurry up November 12th!! Oh but I can't skip November 9th and miss the Yahoo Man Of Steel fan event hosted by Kevin Smith!!!
SuperCat - 11/4/2013, 7:20 AM
I kind of liked the shaky cam :^/
TokenNerd - 11/4/2013, 7:21 AM
It was released today in Australia, watched the bluray special features.
Got the limited edition Tin casing with stand from JB HiFi.
Gonna kick back in the morning and watch it loud and in 3D!!!!
JoeMomma29 - 11/4/2013, 7:22 AM
@ Supercat

You liked the shaky cam because you have Parkinson disease!
JackJensen - 11/4/2013, 7:23 AM
As far as my review of the movie. I thought it was great but Superman does need more dialogue other than screaming and yelling. They need to have Clark Kent have more of a personality, which I think the ending showed we will see in Batman Vs. Superman. Also, the shaky cam I did not like and the relationship between Lois and Clark and some of the dialogue itself was horrendous, although overall the script was pretty good. Overall I give it like an 7.7/10. Let's put it this way I am a HUGE Batman fan, could really care less for Superman, though I am a fan of ALL DC characters a lot more than Marvels. But, this movie made me a fan of the Man Of Steel!!!
NeoBaggins - 11/4/2013, 7:23 AM
I'm gonna cop this DVD so hard, the entire store is going to topple to the ground and destroy countless imaginary lives.

@ Monkeyballs

I would pay MJF if he could pull that off!
NeoBaggins - 11/4/2013, 7:31 AM
I only noticed the shakey cam in two particular scenes. Once in the beginning when Jor El is facing the council. It was enough to make me worry. Then another time when they took Lane into custody off the street. Other than that, it was cool.

The zoom-in action scenes with Jor El and his flying beast reminded me of Attack of the Clones and ROTS Utapau planet. Crowe is a boss.

"What this blu-ray represents is a comic book movie that has fully realised the power and destruction Kryptonians would possess,I never thought we would get a Superman film that would take us there,a superman film that got rid of all the cookie cutter fluff and give us Kryptonians in all there glory and chaos, for this I salute Snyder and Nolan and Goyer for giving me something I never thought would come to fruition,a realistic take on the Superman mytho's."-1to10youLose

SuperCat - 11/4/2013, 7:42 AM
LOL @ Joe

That's f@cked up!

HugoStrange87 - 11/4/2013, 7:44 AM
I love the style and cinematography of watchmen. Using that for BvS will be beautiful.
GodzillaKart - 11/4/2013, 7:45 AM
@monkeyballs: That was one of my main complaints as well. There was one shaky cam scene when Clark was simply walking up to the farm house. Totally peaceful moment and the camera was shaking all over the place. Not sure what Snyder was thinking there.

That said, enjoyable show.
HugoStrange87 - 11/4/2013, 7:46 AM
I also have a 60 inch Samsung LEDTV. Bought it last year and I love the thing. Makes Blu ray movies look so crisp and clear. This is the type of movie you want on Blu ray as opposed to DVD.
GodzillaKart - 11/4/2013, 7:48 AM
@Nomis: That gif you posted pointed out a huge problem with Bale and the Bat suit in his films. Bale clearly could not breath out of his nose, so he walked around with his mouth hanging open. Looks like a kid wearing a scuba mask. Very goofy.

They could have solved the problem with a sharp pencil.
Nomis - 11/4/2013, 7:55 AM
@ Godzillafart - LOL!A kid earing a scuba mask...lol!

Still he's the BEST live action BATMAN/BRUCE WAYNE we had to date!

Affleck got some big scuba to fill! ;)

TheUltimateSuperman92 - 11/4/2013, 7:55 AM
watching it right now ..wonderful experience but I with there was less shaky cam, and some iconic < classic > superman moments
patrat18 - 11/4/2013, 8:03 AM
Day 1
breakUbatman - 11/4/2013, 8:06 AM

Is the shaky cam due to the DOP or Snyder though?

Either way good job on the film, I like.
JackJensen - 11/4/2013, 8:10 AM
@ HugoStrange87 - Nice!! We both will enjoy our Man Of Steel blu-rays quite nicely!!
breakUbatman - 11/4/2013, 8:10 AM

@TokenNerd

That's strange, I'm in South Africa and we usually get our stuff at the same time as you guys but we've had this since mid October?

Only reason I didnt get my own copy is a fear of the double dip or an Avengers style screw job.
Omarvls - 11/4/2013, 8:19 AM
Best Comicbookmovie of the year so far
Haven't seen Thor Dark World yet
Ship - 11/4/2013, 8:23 AM
Shit Nomis, you sick bastard. You're still playing with my mind, please someone tell Ror to give the blueray to this Afrodescendant, Cinnamon skin, Latin Lover, I'm dying to see it again.
On another subject, Bale's (Batman) looks like his got his mouth open saying something like, wheres that mofo?
Nomis - 11/4/2013, 8:28 AM
@ Ship -LOL!!!!
Ramiel - 11/4/2013, 8:40 AM
I'll be getting this and the Thor TDW soundtrack next week.
HugoStrange87 - 11/4/2013, 8:52 AM
I never cared about the critics. I said it a million times, critics love movies that I'll never see (aka Les Miserables).
jp688 - 11/4/2013, 9:00 AM
Loved the film, can't wait for the Blu Ray.
