I'd assume he'd play the lead..assuming the lead role would be Stue Redman. But who knows.

Flagg is definitely the juice role...by far.

@mexiansuperman

It's about a plague ripping across the world and the band of survivors left behind. Some join up on the side of good with a 100+ year old woman who represents good and some join up with a man named Randall Flagg who represents evil. It's a fantastic book and Marvel did an equally great job with the comic.

I would say that Bale would make an excellent Stu Redman or even better, Lloyd, Flagg's right hand man and a seriously bad dude.

I hope they are still sticking with the idea of cutting this into two or even three parts as there is no way it could be done in one 3 hour movie. 2 parts could work but 3 would be ideal. Shoot it all at once and cut it into 3 parts. Maybe tweek the ending just a tad.

You know, Jeff Bridges would make a great Flagg and he worked with Cooper before. Jonah Hill for Harold Lauder, Joseph Gordon Levitt for Nick Andross...

King could make him the Man in Black/Flagg for all of his movies to come. Some with more or less disguising.

He would actually make a great Roland. Thats the King project they need to get the hell going on. The Stand is great and all, but it's not the DT.

With all the movie/tv crossover Disney/Marvel and DC/WB do, there's no excuse to not make 3 or 4 movies and do the Wiz and Glass as a miniseries.

At the bare min how about do the Talisman & Black House back to back?

@NotU

was just talking to my buddy over the weekend how amazing a Talisman limited series would be! Halfway through Blackhouse right now.

As for The Dark Tower

It NEEDS to be a series, hopefully on HBO, they need to follow the Game of Thrones formula of a season per book. Some of the fat could be trimmed off but not as much as they would need for a movie. There is no way in hell I want to see that series chopped up the way it would have to be chopped up to make it to the big screen. Give it time to develop the way it did in the books. Say thankya.

Bale was a phenomenal Batman and anyone that doesn't think so should just give up on watching movies because they're idiots.

I'd love to see bale in The Stand. I personally think he's one of the best actors out there.

"Ninny-muggens"?!? Lmfao, yeah I'm gonna listen to someone who uses that phrase...and you say "Bale was a terrible Batman, but he's a great actor"...um, how can he be both? Yeah, I stand by my last comment :)

Hey guys, you should leave Gfart alone... he has some serious sexual disfunctions, he's obssessed by jaws of men, some kind of weird fetiches and stuff. Plus he has a big delusion of grandeur, he really think he's smart and knows shit. Leave him in his corner.

And to think we were "THIS CLOSE" to having a great conversation about STEPHEN KING NOVELS AND MOVIES BASED ON THEM.... "this close"!

Any adaptation of that novel shy of 6 hours will NEVER capture its essence. This is destined to fail.

@Godzillafart

Don't feel bad. Im 35 and have been reading King since I was about 9. 3 times I tried to read the series and never got past The Drawing of the Three. Last May I picked them up and gave it another try. I read all 7 books and The Wind Through The Keyhole by October. It IS his Opus and ties in ALOT of his other stories and characters. It is deft NOT generic in ANY sense of the word and at times it felt like I wasn't reading a Stephen King book at all.

Get unkown for Flagg. Kevin Howarth would be magic. Check out his history.

Yeah, Affleck made a bad choice bailing on this film for the Superman sequel. In my book he'd have had more credibility completing his plans for this film.

But if Christian Bale is to star, I'd definitely cast him as the Trash-can Man.
