X-Men Days of Future Past Prof X

In the video above, McAvoy told RCNTV he knows nothing about X-Men: Apocalypse, only learning about it the very morning that the rest of us did. But he did say he's contractually obligated to do another X-Men movie so if he's in 'Apocalypse' [or some other X-Men movie] then he'll be back. McAvoy also discussed co-stars Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, calling them his pals who just so happen to be the top young actors of today.

This will either be a step in the right direction for the x-men franchise or it is going to hit the fan with shite.
Tyrus - 12/11/2013, 3:40 AM
I'm still not happy that X-Men Apocalypse will be mainly focused on the First Class actors; there's barely any X-Men from that cast to focus on!
Tyrus - 12/11/2013, 3:47 AM
Saoirse Ronan on McAvoy's right in the first vid...
tricklove187 - 12/11/2013, 3:48 AM
How about doing Gambit right in this one?
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 3:55 AM
Why won't anyone deal with the elephant in the room? Why does Wolverine have metal claws in the future? Bryan Singer is quick to tell us that Apocalypse isn't an alien, but there's no mention of this issue.
Gr8Britton - 12/11/2013, 4:06 AM
In the after credit scene of the wolverine he has the bone claws so he prolly doesn't have the metal claws anymore. I assume the scene in the trailer is Logan in his younger body when he still had claws
DoctorWeird - 12/11/2013, 4:08 AM
Magneto moulds the existing adamantium in wolverine's body to create the new metal claws
SpiderJerusalem - 12/11/2013, 4:09 AM
Annnnnd' X-Men 'Journey into Apocolypse' is born. summer (not scott of course)2016
LokiOfAsgard - 12/11/2013, 4:09 AM
tricklove; how about doing all of them right in this one...
Tyrus - 12/11/2013, 4:11 AM

X-Men: 'Journey Into Apocalypse'... That can easily be mistaken for porn.
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:12 AM
@Gr8Britton: This is the banner for the new movie. He has metal claws.

DoctorWeird - 12/11/2013, 4:15 AM

I just answered your enquiry into the metal claws
MightyZeus - 12/11/2013, 4:16 AM
I have mixed feelings about this. I mean there's just so many questions for XMDOFP and it's continuity along with it's characters. Also i think it's weird how Bryan Singer just announced his next X:men film on twitter even though XMDOFP isnt out yet.
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:18 AM
@DoctorWeird: No, you didn't. You HOPE that's what happens. It's looking, right now, that there's a big continuity flaw here. James Mangold isn't talking about those metal claws either, yet he's talking about a 3 Wolverine film. No one wants to see a film where Wolverine only has bone claws.
marvel72 - 12/11/2013, 4:19 AM

DoctorWeird - 12/11/2013, 4:20 AM

*nudge nudge* i answered your question

Wait and see
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:21 AM
^I can't just wait and see. They can't be trusted to do the right thing.
Newbus - 12/11/2013, 4:24 AM
DoctorWeird - 2I just answered your enquiry into the metal claws"

Sorry, from which hole did you pull that one from?
DoctorWeird - 12/11/2013, 4:25 AM
They can't, but thats what happening

To be honest i preferred the first option they had of Wolverines meeting which altered the timeline in a way that stopped current day Wolverine losing his claws. But in typical Fox fashion that would not only have appeared terrible on screen, but also messed with Mangold's continuity as well

Anything is better than Magneto popping them back on though

You asked, i gave you what they are doing. Doesnt mean i approve of it
UltimateTypeface - 12/11/2013, 4:27 AM
god I hope they don't screw this up
Newbus - 12/11/2013, 4:28 AM
1to10youLose - "Singer Xmen and X2 and Producer on First Class name me a director of Marvel properties better then Singer?..."

Nobody referred to Marvel Studios until you came along with your stupid comments.
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:29 AM
You just told me the solution I already came up with, but FOX isn't that smart.
ManCalledSting - 12/11/2013, 4:42 AM
Luminus: Your issue is his claws? What about him having his memories back in The Wolverine, with no explanation?
TheRealistStarLord - 12/11/2013, 4:43 AM
James McAvoy is definitely one of the best things in X-Men movie franchise, he totally OWN the role of Charles Xavier!
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:43 AM
@OldGreg: He didn't have his memories back. He only remembered that scene, because he visited the site. However, in the Extended Cut he has memories before he visits the site, so there appears to be a continuity flaw. And I DO have a problem with it.
Tyrus - 12/11/2013, 4:43 AM

Joss Whedon, Jon Favreau (Iron Man 1).

I adore X1 and X2, but when I think about it, X2 is the only film that showed Singer's potential. He left after that, so I'll have to wait until DOFP comes out to determine if he's Marvel's best director...
Tyrus - 12/11/2013, 4:45 AM
And yes I know Joss Whedon only directed Avengers, but in my humble opinion, Avengers was far more harder to develop than Bryan Singer doing X2.
gambgel - 12/11/2013, 4:46 AM
If I dont see Cyclops and Archangel in the next movies, Im gonna be sooo dissapointed.

You cant do an epic Age of Apocalypse addaptation without the leader and the badass Archangel. Fox... dont miss this chance!
Newbus - 12/11/2013, 4:47 AM
1to10youLose - "@Newbus

I didnt say Disney I said Marvel properties, from Sony to Blade to all Marvel films, you will know when I talk about Disney, because I will call them Disney."

We know who you are talking about irrespective of whether they are under Disney's control or not...your comments are always consistent.
ManCalledSting - 12/11/2013, 4:47 AM
Brian Singer directed and co-wrote two of the best cbms to date in X1 &X2, and produced and co-Wrote a third in First Class. His name isn't even on X3 or Origins. Fox got him back, so he could fix the continuity issues that happened in his absence, and his solution is genius. Some people hate on things, just so they have something to say.
ManCalledSting - 12/11/2013, 4:48 AM
I only watched the extended cut, the theatrical cut has to many "huh"moments in it. The beginning of the movie where he saves the young guy, is a memory, and I'm pretty sure that's in both cuts.
ManCalledSting - 12/11/2013, 4:51 AM
The claws are easy as hell to explain, yet you're bitching about it, without having even seen the movie, or their explanation.
Nymphadora - 12/11/2013, 4:53 AM
Singer will eff this up for sure.
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:54 AM
@OldGreg: It's not in both. The theatrical doesn't show the memory he has on the plane which is the first memory he has of the war. I'm not bitching about the claws. I asked a question and bitched about FOX. Why is that difference difficult for you to grasp?
Newbus - 12/11/2013, 4:58 AM
Still waiting for that billion dollar Xmen movie...waiting, waiting, waiting...
Newbus - 12/11/2013, 4:58 AM
X3 earned more than X2 at the box office. There's a message there.
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 4:59 AM
Yes, it says the audience are full of idiots.
Luminus - 12/11/2013, 5:01 AM
Actually, I shouldn't say that. People just like dumb films these days. lol.
Tyrus - 12/11/2013, 5:02 AM

Singer didn't direct First Class.

Who said we were talking about tones? Avengers was a way better film overall IMO than X1 (which I don't blame considering it was made awhile ago) and X2.

Like I mentioned in my comment (which you obviously have trouble reading), I only liked Favreau's work on Iron Man 1 - a film I also prefer over X1 and X2. Unlike you, though, I'd never say that the opposing director/film has nothing on the other.
Newbus - 12/11/2013, 5:03 AM
Now you've gone and ruined my flow.

Let me try again. Who directed the flop known as Jack the Giant Slayer?

*does a tap dance*
