I watched this on a flight last weekend. It was okay to kill some time but that's about it.
TheRationalNerd - 6/21/2014, 5:12 PM
Still gotta see this...
PunPun - 6/21/2014, 5:13 PM
This movie was great and very underrated. Anybody who says otherwise is a troll who can't accept that the new suit looks better than the old one. And that Robocop was better than Godzilla. Suck it haters.
Phronesis - 6/21/2014, 5:18 PM
@PunPun And the try-hard troll award goes to...
Highflyer - 6/21/2014, 5:19 PM

Brilliant.

Seriously they are not demonstrating any good damn reason why they didn't do Silver all the way through. If there is a sequel clearly they will go silver.
nailbiter111 - 6/21/2014, 5:23 PM
I'd say the film is above average. That's about as much praise as I will give it. Biggest knocks: lacks a real villain and the ending is too close to the original's - which made it a boring way to go out. Best part: the Samuel L. Jackson scenes. I really dug his performance and those scenes made the film gel.
blackandyellow - 6/21/2014, 5:34 PM
Nail, I'll agree that the Sam Jackson scenes were a very creative way to provide exposition. Plus I always like watching Michael Keaton since he's a Pittsburgher, but those are the only redeeming qualities I found.
PunPun - 6/21/2014, 5:36 PM
@nailbiter111 I actually agree with you and I hate you 99% of the time

@storyteller because black looks cooler you nutsack. Just ask Batman.

@blackandyellow The Pirates suck and Pittsburgh is a cesspool. #owned

Jesus Christ you all just got pwned. Go back to your shanties.
blackandyellow - 6/21/2014, 5:54 PM
I can't believe how bad I just got owned. I'm utterly humiliated. This shame of this day will reverberate through generations of my family.

June 21, 2014 ... a day that will live in infamy.
SuperCat - 6/21/2014, 5:56 PM
I like this movie. Bought the DVD.
Enphlieuwince - 6/21/2014, 6:12 PM
I liked it but it seemed like it was setting up the sequel more than anything.
FastFlames - 6/21/2014, 6:28 PM
Every time I go to walmart I debate buying this.. Eventually I'll give in, but still haven't gotten it.
Manifestdrum3r - 6/21/2014, 6:35 PM

AlexanderLykins - 6/21/2014, 6:51 PM
PunPun is on a roll right now.
AlexanderLykins - 6/21/2014, 6:51 PM
This is already in stores and I still haven't seen it? Must have been pretty bad.
MikeRaider - 6/21/2014, 6:52 PM
Haven't seen this movie yet...but I've heard it ranged from mediocre to bad.
I like RoboCop in general and I guess the suit looks okay, but black has become really generic. Silver definitely looks cooler and stands out more.

Uh...maybe I'll check it out someday?

AlexanderLykins - 6/21/2014, 6:52 PM
@PunPun

AlexanderLykins - 6/21/2014, 6:55 PM

Fricking Good Movie Saw it Yesterday on line, and feel shame of me I should have see it in Cinema.
ManCalledSting - 6/21/2014, 8:48 PM
No villian???.....did we watch the same movie? Keaton's character, and his team, were the bad guys. I love the first one, and this is a damn fine version. I would welcome a sequel.
GetsugaTensho22 - 6/21/2014, 9:41 PM
It was so much better than the original.
KallarkKent - 6/21/2014, 9:57 PM
It is not that bad of a movie, but it is still an unnecessary remake. The originals (at least the first 2) still hold up in spite of almost being 30 years old.
SidTheSloth - 6/22/2014, 12:19 AM
I just watched this yesterday. I [frick]ing loved every second of it
CaptainProg - 6/22/2014, 1:40 AM
This was a great movie imo. Liked it more than the original. It should of been rated R though.
mgeoff88 - 6/22/2014, 2:20 AM
It looks like I missed the party earlier.

LOL! Some of the trolls on here are hilarious! You didn't own anyone with those weak ass replies.

You used a hashtag to let someone know they were "owned..." If you have to use a hashtag to let someone know you owned them, it means you didn't actually own them. And using a hastag when you're not on Twitter, is quite lame. You used the word "pwned..." No one says pwned anymore. Also, you channeled Shooter McGavin in that last sentence...

I think that's fitting because much like Shooter McGavin, you're a huge tool.
Teraman182 - 6/22/2014, 3:01 AM
Worst movie I've ever seen.... And yes that does include Catwoman
LEEE777 - 6/22/2014, 7:50 AM
I hated this crap, worst comic book movie this year easy, if not the last decade.

Knew from the very start it would be complete rubbish.

Cant touch the original yo! ;P

LEEE777 - 6/22/2014, 7:57 AM
To be honest I was never going to watch it until I heard Michael Keaton was in it, but he couldn't save this horrible reboot... there was a reason it flopped.

I say bring back the real ROBO, Robocop continuation set after Robocop 2. Can still have a complete new cast of actors if need be, though Weller could still play Robo, only see his head 'n' jaw!
otakux3r0 - 6/23/2014, 1:25 PM
There was nothing wrong with the reboot. I just hope this one leads to something like a decent sequel or Robocp VS Terminator.
