Da7e from Latino Review has posted yet another Star Wars VII update. You can read the full reporter here, or read the basic gist below. The most important info that he covers is debunking the recent rumors that Star Wars VII could be delayed six months so that Harrison Ford's broken leg can fully recover.

- The movie will NOT be delayed because of Harrison Ford’s injuries. (I can actually second source this thanks to Star Wars 7 News)  This information is from this week, it’s not old, it’s not speculation.

- Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams want a May 4th, 2016 release date.

- Bob Iger is not giving it to them.

Da7e also provided a nice roundup of recent rumors:

AICN reported: "And this is a huge problem because Han Solo is pretty much the main character of EPISODE VII, leading a galaxy-wide search party for Luke Skywalker."

Badass Digest reported: "I had heard that Solo is the star of this Star Wars and that the old smuggler would be taking the new kids on a journey across the galaxy to find an old friend who had gone missing."

Outside of trying to locate Luke, the plot will also feature a storyline involving John Boyega and Daisy Ridley's characters, Thomas and Rachel (those are temp names), according to Making Star Wars.
"We have heard that Thomas starts the film on the side of the villains. Thomas is shot down over Tatooine and he is injured from the crash. The things we heard from Abu Dhabi about a crashed ship is rumored to have been Thomas’ fighter. Rachel rescues him from the wreckage and the elements of the sandy planet. Over the course of their “unlikely pairing,” Thomas sees the reality of the universe and he defects from the side of the villains and decides to help Rachel for saving his life. However, things are not easy for the character because unlike most of the rebels we’ve met in the series, none were traitors, they were always on the side of right from the beginning. However, it appears Rachel and Thomas have an innocent flirtation in their first film with hints at romance in the future episodes. I often hear Thomas is a Jedi in the film, but I am beginning to think he might start that journey midway through Star Wars: Episode VII, which is why he has a lightsaber according to many reports." - Making Star Wars

Star Wars: Episode VII - Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, David Oyelowow, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film. It's being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

sKeemAn - 6/27/2014, 9:57 AM
I was hoping for the delay so I could have my enema that day.
charlie2094 - 6/27/2014, 9:57 AM
Wouldn't mind a delay if that's what they need, rather it was 2015. Marvel would have to move Cap 3 into April, otherwise that would be sorely hurt. Rather it manages to stick to it's December 2015 date
MexicanSuperman - 6/27/2014, 9:59 AM
@Gusto, with your liver I doubt it.

I give no phucks

Tho this better not mean Cap 3 is getting moved up. The last think I want is for the Russo's to get rushed
Gusto - 6/27/2014, 10:11 AM
Oh, trust me. I'll be straight up [frick]in' wasted, man.

"I had heard that Solo is the star of this Star Wars and that the old smuggler would be taking the new kids on a journey across the galaxy to find an old friend who had gone missing."

^ Don't worry, 2016 will be DEATHWATCH 2016
JediPhilosopher - 6/27/2014, 10:35 AM
Sounds cool really, the first episode being a search for Skywalker. I hope they'll eventually release some details about Leia. I was hoping she'd become a jedi like in the EU novels.
DCGuy - 6/27/2014, 10:36 AM
LEL BOB MUST BE LIKE, YOU WANNA GET CRUSHED BY BVS? HELL NO!
Omarvls - 6/27/2014, 10:40 AM
@DCGuy

You must be smoking some crazy sh#t

Star Wars would kill BvS Box Office

as someone who loves both Marvel and DC

I would want Star Wars opening up against BvS
InfiniteMonkey - 6/27/2014, 10:40 AM
I hope a lightsaber cuts off Jar Jar's dick! LOL
Dotanuki - 6/27/2014, 10:41 AM
Hah, DCGuy, I'll have what you're smoking!
Bekss - 6/27/2014, 10:43 AM
They won't move the movie to May because Marvel won't move. Both Disney and Marvel have said that.
JediPhilosopher - 6/27/2014, 10:44 AM
J0RELLC00LJ: "They can't just ILM that broken leg?"
That would be awesome if they could. I don't think so though. Not practically anyway. It would probably be easier to film Harrison Ford's head acting, have another actor in the scene with a green screen head mask, and in editing drop Harrison FOrd's head in. :D
Nomis - 6/27/2014, 10:44 AM
JediPhilosopher - 6/27/2014, 10:46 AM
Jar-Jar? Oh man, I hope not. "Messa gettin toosa old for disinchitin. Oh no! Mesa geten crunchen!”
PsychoManiacJacky - 6/27/2014, 10:48 AM
Alice in Wonderland 2, Star Wars 7, Captain America 3, Batman/Superman, and X-Men Apocalypse in the same month?

silverhawk - 6/27/2014, 10:52 AM
@DCguy- haha you must be joking, BVS would get owned by Star Wars VII. Looking forward to both but let's be real here.
McGee - 6/27/2014, 10:52 AM
Nail....you don't watch Frasier?!?

McGee - 6/27/2014, 10:53 AM
@silverhawk

Christian Bale would have to come back as Bats to even level the playing field!
Mrcool210 - 6/27/2014, 10:55 AM
@Nail, an episode of Fraiser. The one where Fraiser and Niles go to a day spa.
lawndart - 6/27/2014, 10:56 AM
Doesn't matter to me because I'll be retired by 2016. Hey Gusto, maybe I'll end up living in your nursing home!
Mrcool210 - 6/27/2014, 10:57 AM
this episode specifically called door jam.

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 6/27/2014, 11:07 AM

joeschmow013 - 6/27/2014, 11:11 AM
@Omarvls

@Dotanuki

These are the facts only one Star Wars movie has ever made over a billion dollars The Phantom Menace and the last 2 didn't come close...while the last 2 Batman movies have both made over a billion so I really don't think a Star Wars movie is going to kill ANY movie that has Batman in it and those are the facts...and please don't use the card if adjusted for inflation lol...Star Wars is big don't get me wrong but Batman is still the bigger property the numbers don't lie.
Indy - 6/27/2014, 11:13 AM
ugh they really should delay this movie Bob Iger don't be a fool. This movie will not be good if they rush it. Shoot what you can let ford heal if you have to delay film do it.

Reasonnnn - 6/27/2014, 11:15 AM
@joeschmow There hasn't been a Star Wars movie in this era of bajillion tentpole films and the Star Wars prequel trilogy never had 3D. Star Wars will trump BvS if both come out at the same time. It's not like Man of Steel is coming off universal acclaim...
slickrickdesigns - 6/27/2014, 11:18 AM
Never found out...
Is Lando going to be in SW7? They should have a scene where him and Han gamble for the Millennium Falcon again.

Yes or no, No Delays still make me happy!!
Maxi91291 - 6/27/2014, 11:18 AM
@joe

Oh, my ... you are so good at making your points ....

You say those are the fact

Then you say "But dont use the other factual argument" ...
