USA Today have offered the first look at new LEGO sets based on Christopher Nolan's masterpiece, The Dark Knight. The LEGO Tumbler set can be constructed from 1,869 pieces and will set you back $199. It will go on sale in September at LEGO stores and shop.LEGO.com. Here's some additional information about the product: "15 inches tall and 9 inches wide, the LEGO Tumbler has an armored exterior, adjustable wings, a detailed interior (with a console screen that reads "INTIMIDATE") and oversized rubber-tread tires. It also comes with a fact sheet about the vehicle from the movies." There's also two mini-figure with the Tumbler set: Christian Bale's Batman and Heath Ledger's Joker. This is the first time Ledger's Joker has appeared in LEGO form. That performance earned Ledger an Oscar. If you'd like to get a close-up look at these items they will be on display at Comic-Con next weekend.

THE DARK KNIGHT (2008) reunites director Christopher Nolan ("The Prestige") with star Christian Bale ("Empire of the Sun"), who returns to continue Batman’s war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

THE DARK KNIGHT (2008) was directed by Christopher Nolan, from a script written by Jonathan Nolan, David S. Goyer and of course Christopher Nolan himself. The film starred: Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Heath Ledger as Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, Michael Caine as Alfred, Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel, Gary Oldman as Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow, and Eric Roberts as Maroni.

Oh my sweet baby jesus. Those look beautiful, but... Why are they releasing the set with the Batman Begins suit? I get that he wore it for a short while during The Dark Knight as well, but that was before the Joker encountered Batman. But regardless, I really do need it.

I like the lego joker. The lego Batman is even blacker than the regular lego batman. The Dark Knight suit had too much black in my opinion, could have used some grey or whatever to spice it up

Batman Lego came out too late for me. Not into Legos anymore, would have ate this up when I was younger.

@THEDARKKNIGHT - I still love LEGOS, but mostly because of my 2 boys. They're gonna love this!

@BatCiggy they've probably done it because The Dark Knight suit was released as a minifig in a Dark Knight Rises set (The Bat) so this was a good opportunity to release the Begins suit. Plus, they're more likely to sell more if they include minifigs that aren't already available - hence new versions of both Batman and Joker.

I will gladly spend $199 on this work of art!

This is a shameless exploration of those who have died from LEGO overdose.

How many lives need to be destroyed?
