From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn. It releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

BaneSmash - 8/9/2014, 2:18 PM
Did anyone notice in GOTG when Gamora get tossed in her cell the alien outside the door make the cut throat gesture! When Star lord does it to Drax he has no Idea what it mean! Then they ask the same alien if he knew what that meant and he said yes then No............ He had just done it to Gamora outside her cell! That one got away from gunn.

batz11 - 8/9/2014, 2:23 PM

Amazing512 - 8/9/2014, 2:25 PM
Jeez, Banesmash. I get that you're one of the resident prick trolls around here but now you're not even trying.
Get lost.
DrKinsolving - 8/9/2014, 2:26 PM
@BaneSmash,

It was a joke man, like Batz said, he says yes when Star Lord asks him, and then he looks at Drax and is scared shitless and says no, everybody laughed when I saw it too, haha
batz11 - 8/9/2014, 2:28 PM
Nail, thanks again for bringing the concept stuff, so damn cool...probably wouldn't see it if you didn't post here...
dio - 8/9/2014, 2:30 PM

batz11 - 8/9/2014, 2:32 PM
Huh, what were you saying dio?
;)
AssViolator - 8/9/2014, 2:34 PM
Guess some people weren't paying attention at the movies
CerealKiller - 8/9/2014, 2:36 PM
Dammnit, I literally just created an account so I could inform BaneSmash about his mistake and then everyone beat me to it haha!
ChowdaHead - 8/9/2014, 2:38 PM
@banesmash. the movie is filled with inconsistencies. this film has confirmed my worst fears... Marvel knows it cant keep pushing out Captain America, Iron Man and Thor. they wanted to branch out and needed a sacrificial lamb who could bring enough quirk to sell this thing to the G/A. james gunn is perfect for that because he is someone who flaunts how different and stylized his filmmaking is when really he is just a poser fan boy with no real vision at all. it is the only explanation for why james gunn was given free reign over this film, marvel never gave a damn about the gaurdians as characters, this fim was simply a vehicle for marvel to branch out and introduce cosmic elements such as thanos. They were never trying to make a space epic that would be true to the characters and stand up with great sci fi fun of the past. It just needed to be coated with fantastic visuals and quirky raunchy jokes. AND IT WORKED. People are comparing this thing to star wars???? It shouldnt even be compared to avengers. It was so incredibly formulaic.
ChowdaHead - 8/9/2014, 2:43 PM
Gunn was just a maketeer. his vision is nothing but the same story joss whedon wrote for Avengers with obnoxious dialogue and visuals. he assumes you are too dumb to notice.
ChowdaHead - 8/9/2014, 2:44 PM
marketeer*
tehdude - 8/9/2014, 2:44 PM
@ChowdaHead Your worst fears? Hyperbole much?
Amazing512 - 8/9/2014, 2:45 PM
@chowdahead You're entitled to your opinion but I don't think you could be anymore wrong. That is all.
TheBrotherhood - 8/9/2014, 2:47 PM
some of these reminds me of Ben 10 / Lilo & Stitch
tehdude - 8/9/2014, 2:47 PM
@Amazing512 Cosign with that, amigo.
DrKinsolving - 8/9/2014, 2:52 PM
@ChowdaHead

Sorry to hear man, I thought it was awesome, hope you like the sequel better
McGee - 8/9/2014, 2:53 PM
BaneSmash, if you were Drax...you would have caught it before it went over your head.
AlexanderLykins - 8/9/2014, 2:53 PM
The Sakaraan looked awesome.
TinMan2 - 8/9/2014, 2:54 PM
ChowdaHead...I guess this "incredibly formulaic movie" got your money, I'd stop paying for Marvel movies if I was you. Sounds like you had a terrible time.
How much does DC pay you anyway? Or do you troll for free?
batz11 - 8/9/2014, 2:57 PM
McGee wins...
McGee - 8/9/2014, 2:57 PM
Seriously though, f*ck this movie. I'm boycotting it. The racist shit they said about the A'askvarii race being unattractive was deeply offensive.

Tentacles are beautiful too.
batz11 - 8/9/2014, 3:02 PM
Testacles?
Lobo89 - 8/9/2014, 3:05 PM
@banesmash
That didn't get away from Gunn, the prisoner aid he knew what it was cause he did but when Drax gave him that look he got scared and said no. I thought the same thing u did the first time I saw it too.
NovaCorpsFan - 8/9/2014, 3:07 PM
I saw the Art of the Movie book at Dublin Comic-Con today, and it was all just beautiful stuff.
McGee - 8/9/2014, 3:08 PM
Testicles are also beautiful.

^^ nail, I totally understand if you delete that.
MrSuperheromoviefan - 8/9/2014, 3:09 PM
Those Sakaraan are disgusting
MrReese - 8/9/2014, 3:15 PM
A Match Made In Heaven
LordOfTheZegaRealm - 8/9/2014, 3:15 PM

DrKinsolving - 8/9/2014, 3:19 PM
BaneSmash - 8/9/2014, 3:20 PM

BaneSmash - 8/9/2014, 3:23 PM
@amazing512

BaneSmash - 8/9/2014, 3:26 PM
