Skyfall Lodge, the fictional home of James Bond is set on fire during the filming of Skyfall in Hankley Common, Surrey. This scene is when baddie Silva's (played by Javier Bardem) and his men storm the house and start to destroy it.
Daily Mail also has these stunning photographs that capture all the fiery action. The set you see in the photos had been put together in months, and destroyed in a blink of the eye. Set photos of headstones, and a statue with a plaque that read "Skyfall" has clued James Bond fans onto the fact that the set is actually James Bond's ancestral home. It explains the reason that the title of the film is Skyfall, and puts to rest rumors that it had something to do with a downed satellite.
And last night, James Bond's countryside lodge was destroyed in a huge explosion as more scenes were filmed for the upcoming 007 film. Bond is burning: 007's Skyfall Lodge is hit by a huge explosion in scenes filmed this weekend on the Surrey set for the upcoming film. Flames soaring hundreds of feet in the air were seen right across Surrey as the purpose-built mansion was set on fire.
According to onlookers, the fire is started in the scenes by Javier Bardem who was seen by the lodge surrounded by a camera crew. His malevolent character - called Silva - and his gang are filmed throwing an incendiary device into the lodge.
Skyfall, Craig's third outing as James Bond will be released on October 26, 2012. Daniel Craig will be joined by Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, as well as a Judi Dench as M.
