Chris Nolan On THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Set In New Behind-The-Scenes Pictures

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

Why are we talking about Nolan's wife like that? Jesus Christ..not all women are designed to be objectified like that. Seems so low for people that we suppose to admire and respect.

Neither bale nor hardy are terribly big dudes, I went down to the casting call in Pittsburgh (Which sucks because I live in NY, and didn't know they were doing a NY casting call a few months later) and I think my size and build are the reason why I didn't get picked, you very well can't be bigger than the villain of the film.

the 4th picture of Bale and nolan just kicking it back is awesome. Also the picture of Bane looking at Nolan in his coat is awesome, Tom Hardy looks like he's thinking "Yea I'm about to kick the sh*t out of Batman". Oh and the second to last of pic of Nolan and Bane is really funny

Nolan-Dude do think people are going to take you seriously you are kind of short

Hardy-I think after I kick the crap out of Batman they will.

From a trainers perspective he most certainly has, I think he was even more built in Bronson than he is as bane, but regardless its not my point, aside from like Arnold, u rarely have very very big guys in movies. Camera tricks make them look much much more larger than life. Look at Stallone, in the Rocky movies for his fights they billed him at 202lbs, but in reality Stallone was only 145lbs in Rocky IV. And thats a fact, I've trained with some of the professionals who helped get him into shape for those movies and I was shocked when they told me.
