CR4D - 7/31/2012, 10:55 AM
M. Night Shyamalan.
cmay13 - 7/31/2012, 10:56 AM
Aronofsky?
AlexRival - 7/31/2012, 10:57 AM
If that's the same Danny Boyle that did the Olympic Ceremony you can expect another Shumacher.
DalyBear - 7/31/2012, 10:57 AM
whedon would make an amazing batman movie. I'd love to see what zach snyder would do if man of steel is awesome
Danbojohnj - 7/31/2012, 10:58 AM
Fincher.
Vital - 7/31/2012, 10:59 AM
Random choices lol.
ChazzGoodtimes - 7/31/2012, 11:00 AM
PTA is amazing, one of my favorite directors of all time, but he would never, nor should he, ever direct a Batman flick. He should've done Watchmen, if you ask me.
thalidomide - 7/31/2012, 11:00 AM
Michael Bay
inblackestnight101 - 7/31/2012, 11:02 AM
@CR4D

dear god no
SageMode - 7/31/2012, 11:02 AM
You have any reasons why you would choose these directors?
DrHop - 7/31/2012, 11:03 AM
David Fincher and Darren Aronofsky are my two choices.

I feel like Wally Pfister would be too similar to Nolan. I want an entirely new direction and feel with the Batman reboot.

I doubt Whedon would ever do it...
LeoORourke - 7/31/2012, 11:03 AM
Fincher
HellsHammer - 7/31/2012, 11:04 AM
Too soon to even think about this
whitmore55 - 7/31/2012, 11:04 AM
LOL M. Night Shyamalan - I'm Batman or am I?
GoILL - 7/31/2012, 11:04 AM
Agree with Sage you should put a reason why you chose these directors.
MrChuff - 7/31/2012, 11:05 AM
What a random and unrealistic selection.

Pfister would never do it considering he has already lensed three Batman movies for Nolan.

They should ask Fincher. He hates origin stories and he could jump right into a full-on Batman story.
JayHova - 7/31/2012, 11:06 AM
G Del Torro for the win!! He'd be my first choice cus dude has class and style.. if not than the Cohen Bros, Tarantino, peter jacson, or fincher
Nubase - 7/31/2012, 11:06 AM
Wally Pfister has publicy said he will never work on a comicbook movie again cos he is not interested in doing another one as he now wants to direct his own crime movies and thillers, his directoral debut is a thriller and nolan is producing.

Danny Boyle would be interesting, his movies 24 days and sunshine shows he can go dark and take it to the edge.

The others l'm not sure but l would throw in david fincher, l'm sure he would jump at the chance and all his movies have that edgy dark tone to it.
skidz - 7/31/2012, 11:07 AM
I would've considered Bryan Singer, but we've already seen what a trainwreck Superman Returns was.
dahamma - 7/31/2012, 11:09 AM
Atleast whedon would give you a batman thats closer to the source material.

Whoever gets the gig. It would be tough because Nolan did big things with Batman.
DeadHubris - 7/31/2012, 11:09 AM
I'm going with PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON .
dahamma - 7/31/2012, 11:10 AM
NOw that I think of it, Del Toro could do amazing things with Batman!
marvel72 - 7/31/2012, 11:11 AM
darren aronofsky & david fincher would be my choices.
nailbiter111 - 7/31/2012, 11:12 AM
sorry about that the audio track wouldn't load properly but i got it up and running.
BooYah - 7/31/2012, 11:12 AM
Jonathan Nolan.
Avenger87 - 7/31/2012, 11:12 AM
duncan jones could be interesting
PaulRom - 7/31/2012, 11:13 AM
Duncan Jones, Darren Aronofsky and Zack Snyder are all great choices. Joss Whedon would make an amazing Batman film, but I doubt he'll do it any time soon.
Agent99 - 7/31/2012, 11:14 AM
Joss Whedon woud be a perfest choice to direct batman in my opinion, but as you all now he is in contract with marvel to direct avengers 2 and 3. So the new batman woudnt come until 2020 if he directs it , i think so... yea !
Matador - 7/31/2012, 11:14 AM
She-Male Warchioski
SuspenseSmith - 7/31/2012, 11:14 AM
I'd have to go with Danny Boyle.

He can do both the action and the drama really well and maintain a dark tone. Also he's not as gaudy and pretentious as some of the others on this list.
Canon108 - 7/31/2012, 11:14 AM
Ben Affleck
Darren Aronofsky
David Fincher
Duncan Jones
Paul Thomas Anderson

Would all be really good choices. I think the better question should be who is going to replace Bale as Bruce Wayne?
DioFoRio - 7/31/2012, 11:15 AM
heard there's some dude named Nolan that the kids go crazy for....
DioFoRio - 7/31/2012, 11:16 AM
ohhh Ben Affleck is a good idea
CaptainDC - 7/31/2012, 11:16 AM
All great choices, all realistic for sure. I like Thomas Jones and Paul Thomas Anderson a lot
Spidey91 - 7/31/2012, 11:16 AM
Whedon? pff, please, the guy just makes silly movies for retarded kids and his vision is not cinematic enough...whoa,that was so snobish,I feel smart now,now I understand why so many Nolanites talk like that :P
bretlfc - 7/31/2012, 11:16 AM
Paul Thomas Anderson for me, needs to stay dark and for the love of god not go back to the child aimed campy crap that Schumacher cursed the world with.
AlSimmons - 7/31/2012, 11:16 AM
John Woo. Yeah, I said it! The man can do some gritty stuff. Plus he could have an excuse to have someone duel wield weapons with Two Face.
RoscoeFolgers - 7/31/2012, 11:17 AM
Joss Whedon should never direct anything. Much less a Batman movie.
SuspenseSmith - 7/31/2012, 11:17 AM
I don't like the really "artsy" directors on blockbuster jobs. That's where they mess up the basics in search of "deeper meaning." That's exactly what Ang Lee's Hulk was all about.

No show off directors.
Nubase - 7/31/2012, 11:18 AM
we will be waiting a long time before we see the bat again, WB & DC will press ahead with man of steel now and if that captures the world then the sequel will follow, the next time we may see the bat in in the JL movie planned for 2016 -17.
DarkKnight23 - 7/31/2012, 11:19 AM
How about Tony Scott? He probably wouldn't do it, but it would be interesting
AsianVersionOfET - 7/31/2012, 11:19 AM
DAVID FINCHER. That is all. But nothing will ever come close to Nolan's.
m0th3r - 7/31/2012, 11:19 AM
i have an idea...let the body get cold before you replace it..jez
JokerFan21 - 7/31/2012, 11:22 AM
These are random choices. Paul Thomas Anderson is an awesome director (best one out there) but he would never do a Batman film. It would be amazing if he did though.
OdinsBeard - 7/31/2012, 11:23 AM
it's gotta be Affleck.
billytwohats - 7/31/2012, 11:23 AM
Tarsem Singh, the visuals would be amazing or Takashi Miike, go in a different direction put in some wire work Batman wire-fu in 3D that would be awesome.
maxleresistant - 7/31/2012, 11:24 AM
This is my list
Aronofski
Fincher
Neil Blomkamp
Brad Bird
Brad Anderson
alejandro inarritu

Impossible list
Zack Snyder
Clint Eastwood (back with his dark knight Returns Project)
80's Ridley Scott
Steven Spielberg
Spidey91 - 7/31/2012, 11:25 AM
here's another crazy idea: how about making a movie about another DC superhero instead of milking the Batman cow until the end of time? :P
darkmetal - 7/31/2012, 11:25 AM
Whedon should be #1 (if he drops the Hannible Lector script).
But above all, the person needed must already be established so WB can't push them around and they need to NOT BE A CORPORATE BITCH LIKE BURTON AND SCHUMACHER.

Unfortunately it's most likely Batman will fall back into the hands of WB's favorite producers and they'll give it to one of their bitches.
ronnie42 - 7/31/2012, 11:25 AM
Anderson is a terrible actor, I want him nowhere the resident evil movies or batman series! If that happens I will boycott the hell out of them.
