sharkman03191 - 5/13/2013, 7:43 PM
Guarantee you that he's going to come back at the end of the film all decked out in Rhino gear and cause a lot of hell for Spidey.
elib - 5/13/2013, 7:47 PM

If they're making a spider-Man movie why in the [frick] would they cast Paul Giamatti to play the Rhino? Worst casting since Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. This going to be the worst film since the Avengers

Fmi62 - 5/13/2013, 8:05 PM
This looks just as bad as the first. Spiderman one and two were the first great comic book movies of the 21st century. Why are they redoing them again for this shit? I wont let that go....
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 8:11 PM
Oh great. Spider-man being a douchebag again.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 8:12 PM

thatcoldblackcloud - 5/13/2013, 8:24 PM
SPider man is such a loser. Its why he so beloved! Cuz 90% of comics readers ARE losers too
TinyTinyMan - 5/13/2013, 8:29 PM

Looks like Aleksei needs to blow off some steam.
CaptainAmerica31 - 5/13/2013, 8:31 PM
So this is spiderman being a douche? Man you guys really need to brush up on your spiderman! This is spiderman humor and you guys calling him a douche is just proof you can't find anything better to critique of this film. Now I'm gonna defend TASM. SM2 has aged terribly and is a poor representation of spider-man the character and is only good in the context of the trilogy, however it is not like TDK( which IMO can't be beaten by any other CBM) SM2 unlike TDK can be beaten in terms of quality. TASM beat SM1 in terms of the orgin and character development. SM1 was better action wise but it rushed the orgin and showed no real problem for Peter other than the villian. TASM showed a Peter with internal struggle and a selfish boy becoming a selfless hero. We skim over that part in SM1, we never see it, only little tidbits in the beginning of the film. Peter is perfect after he dons the suit, he is fully responsible no cracks what so ever, all that's left is a hollow love story with a terrible female lead. TASM offers a diffrent story, a boy who is blessed with powers and is struggling to be a responsible hero and becasue of his irresponsiblity his loved one will die. TASM had more heart and was much more character driven than SM1 and SM2 and it set up this film perfectly. Honestly, almost all the bad reviews this film recived were about it just being another orgin story, no real story problems. The plot holes people talked about ( well the only people were here) were not even real plot holes becasue they were explained throughout the film. This film was fighting a Very steep battle against almost all odds, nothing was going for it. However it manged to become the higest grossing reboot of all time that's why I'm worried maybe MoS might not get to 800,000,000 but Im sure it will. So TASM is off to a very good start indeed, coming off the higest grossing reboot and a very high approval rating from the audience( more so than SM1) means this film is gonna make a lot regardless of quality. SM2 made les than SM1 becasue SM1 did not recive great ratings from the audience unlike SM2 which impacted SM3 sales which is the higest grossing Spidey film
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 8:34 PM
Spider-man would never fool around with a car thief for 20 minutes and then have the thief almost killed when he dodges bullets from the police officer. Spidey also wouldn't shit on the police department, stating he does "80% of their job." Spider-man wouldn't go on a personal vendetta for weeks and chase down only criminals with long blonde hair instead of protecting people from everyday criminals.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 8:34 PM
But that is the spider-man I am familiar with
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 8:36 PM
I liked Amazing Spider-man but some things I can not stand. When it comes to heart I believe the old films have much more.

For example
DanteSparda - 5/13/2013, 8:39 PM

Too bad the official trailer is still ages away.
AztecaAguilar04 - 5/13/2013, 8:40 PM
Tony93 - 5/13/2013, 8:42 PM
so those rhino pictures are just stickers on his boxers huh.. I hope he does become the rhino
Tony93 - 5/13/2013, 8:44 PM
a shame the old franchise ended the way it did.. I still keep the old ones close, best spidey right here

CaptainAmerica31 - 5/13/2013, 8:45 PM
@TDK exactly, he is not technically " spider-man" throughout majority of the film. He is in the wrestling stage of his hero journey for a lot of the film. He becomes the hero, savior at the en when capt Stacey says " the city needs you" he is steered towards this by capt. Stacey and it is reinforced at the end when Ben says " you're my hero Peter" he has the epiphany towards the end. That's why I said this film is a lot more fleshed out, and character driven, becasue the whole film is Peter becoming spider-man the alter ego after he has gained his powers and his uncle died. He is trying to live up to this power he was put with," the moral obligation to do the right thing" Ben tells him. That's what the film is about, not the lizard, not Gwen and Peter, it's about Peter Parker becoming spider-man through a series of events. He is not the spiderman we know and love in this film because he is the douche bag in the wrestling ring in SM1 majority of the film. He " tourtures" the criminal becasue he is far more naive then he should be. That's why I'm partially excited for this film( you can't fully judge this film right now) they are showing the heroic spiderman( saving the bus), actually chasing down criminals not suspects of his uncles killer.
DanteSparda - 5/13/2013, 8:46 PM

(Groany voice) It's because that's not Spider-man, he's THE Amazing Spider-man, he's the hero that you deserve, but not the one you need right now.
CaptainAmerica31 - 5/13/2013, 8:47 PM
@Levi yup that's my point. SM1 he is just the perfect archetypes no mistakes or bumps. TASM we see a realistic, angsty teenage boy who is gonna get his girlfriend killed becasue he is irresponsible.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 8:50 PM
Based on what I have seen in these pics, he hasn't matured yet. Don't want it to take until the third movie until he becomes the real spider-man I know.
