Ben Affleck's Wife Is "Excited About BATMAN"

Ben Affleck first met his wife, Jennifer Garner, on the set of the 2003 comic book movie, Daredevil. At the time, Ben was engaged to ex-In Living Color Fly Girl, Jennifer Lopez, and Garner was married to Scott "Living In A Van Down By The River" Foley. Of course, they said no hanky panky took place on set.

ET Canada recently spoke with the Garner, and wanted to see what she thought of her husband landing the role of The Dark Knight in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel. “I’m excited about Batman, of course,” Garner told Roz Weston. “Everything we do, we look at it together, and we say, 'Can we handle this? Can we take this?' And this was one where we were like, 'Let’s go to Michigan!'”

Yesterday, we heard Hugh Jackman do what he does best, praising anyone and anything. Seriously, Hugh doesn't seem to know how to criticize anything, and finds everything to be the best and the greatest. I'd love to hear his thoughts on McDonald's. But, here is some more of Hugh on Ben. "I have a great trainer for Ben," Jackman told ERosey Edeh. "But Ben is poised to crush it. I’m really happy for him. I’m so happy he got the part. The difficult part of the role is the Bruce Wayne part. I think he will crush it, and I’m really excited to see what he does. He’s ready for it. I love Ben—he’s super smart, very talented, and he will be around for a long time. I think people are gonna to love it."

Now the only person we need to hear from is Ben Affleck himself.
Brainiac13 - 9/7/2013, 2:02 PM
Under the thumb! ;)
Highflyer - 9/7/2013, 2:04 PM
Why hasn't Affleck said anything? Has WB kidnapped him or something?
JordanKing - 9/7/2013, 2:07 PM
Next, why don't we ask Ben Affleck's bin man? I'm sure the world is on the edge of its collective seats to hear what he has to say.
DelTorite - 9/7/2013, 2:07 PM
"I'm [frick]ing Batman, bitches."
duncboy - 9/7/2013, 2:09 PM
I live right near where they are shooting - hoping to get an extra role and then be cast as Aquaman or something
AsgardianHobo - 9/7/2013, 2:10 PM
2 more years of listening to this shit.......

HulkbusterNYC - 9/7/2013, 2:16 PM
Everyone was waiting to hear how Garner & Jackman felt about this. Glad it's cleared up. Seriously though are they going to ask anyone that has anything to do with Affleck and/or CBM's these questions?

She's a superhero groupie..and Elektra.
MrLoki - 9/7/2013, 2:32 PM
Jennifer Garner is an amazing actress, Golden Globe winner, has starred in many movies (including an important role in Oscar-winning Juno) and deserves to be recognized as something more than just "Ben Affleck's wife".
92Marvel - 9/7/2013, 2:42 PM
Who gives a shit about what these people half to say about ben afflect let him speak and talk about batman.

LEVITIKUZ - 9/7/2013, 2:42 PM
Tequila, vodka, henny
LMB10 - 9/7/2013, 2:46 PM
Affleck will comment on it when he starts promoting Runner Runner at the end of the month. No way press will avoid asking him about it.
nailbiter111 - 9/7/2013, 2:46 PM
BlackJack10 - I have a very boring answer. Ben Affleck will make an adequate Batman. He will not be better than Bale, but I don't think he will be the worst Batman either. But, then again, do you just want someone that is adequate? I don't like the choice, but I don't think the film will suck because he is in it. The movie will live or die based on Zack Snyder who still comes up short with his inadequate storytelling skills.
NovaCorpsFan - 9/7/2013, 2:47 PM
Guys everyone go to chat. We need to keep the site alive!
LEVITIKUZ - 9/7/2013, 2:49 PM
I agree with Nail. Bale was THE BEST Batman/Bruce Wayne in terms of performance and won't be topped.

If Ben's Batman could be badass like Keaton and his Bruce could be good like Val and Bale's, he will do well.

I believe in the Batffleck.
SoundWave - 9/7/2013, 2:50 PM
Affleck will be awesome Batman! Haters must kill themselves!
JordanKing - 9/7/2013, 2:51 PM
Anyone can play Batman. It's Bruce Wayne he has to worry about.
BlueHawaiiSurfer - 9/7/2013, 2:52 PM
Yeah and the "OTHER" guy made a good movie later *yawn* lol
Ranger14 - 9/7/2013, 2:52 PM
...and here I thought his wife would be disappointed. She's excited. Imagine that! :-p
DarkGrifter - 9/7/2013, 2:55 PM
Oh yeah, his first official words are gonna be insane, I'm expecting a huge press conference where Affleck comes out in full costume and swears vengeance upon nerds, the internet and thousands of Batman memes everywhere.
But in all seriousness I reckon Ben's gonna stay silent on the subject until they begin promotion for Runner Runner, which should be soon if the release date is on the 25th.
Omarvls - 9/7/2013, 2:55 PM
Benman was a horrible choice but one we have to HOPE works out just remember that every time he's Bruce Wayne you will be seeing Bennifer
nailbiter111 - 9/7/2013, 2:56 PM
AnnoDomini - why would this article feel like that? I didn't voice any opinion on affleck IN the article.
jerryblake - 9/7/2013, 2:56 PM
i believe Ben can play decent Bruce Wayne, and one hell of the Batman. He won't top Bale performance as Wayne - that's for sure - but he could give as the best Batman yet. It's all about Goyer's script. Less Wayne, more Batman. That's the way to do it.
nailbiter111 - 9/7/2013, 2:57 PM
AnnoDomini - No, this one doesn't. You clearly need to put on your glasses.
LoudLon - 9/7/2013, 2:57 PM
"Batfleck." People think they're so clever. "Batfleck." "Bennifer." "Brangelina."

I hate that shit.
Super12 - 9/7/2013, 2:58 PM
I usually could care less about Hollywood couples, the tabloids, the E channel and all that crap. But I like this couple. Ben and Jennifer are two really talented and really smart individuals, and the seem to know how to make a high profile relationship work. I hope they make it.
marvel72 - 9/7/2013, 2:58 PM
jennifer garner is his wife? does matt damon know about her? :D
nailbiter111 - 9/7/2013, 2:59 PM
AnnoDomini - I agree, there are numerous articles that support your claims, but to say THIS article is in that category is a BOLD FACE LIE. You want to make that point, do so in an article that actually supports your claims.
nailbiter111 - 9/7/2013, 3:00 PM
AnnoDomini - You mentioned THIS article in particular. I'm simply saying, you're wrong to do so. Take up that argument somewhere else, or if you do it here don't rope me in with that agenda, cause I'm not on that side of the argument.
LEVITIKUZ - 9/7/2013, 3:01 PM

Ben Afleck married Jen while Matt Damon married a bartender with a kid.
nailbiter111 - 9/7/2013, 3:01 PM

AnnoDomini - Cause it's funny. I like to make people laugh. Deal with it.
gambgel - 9/7/2013, 3:07 PM
So Elektra and Batman are a couple, Marvel and DC crossover right there, lol
ConquerorKang27 - 9/7/2013, 3:10 PM
Can someone tell me why everyone seems to still love Keaton as Batman? The dude is like 5 foot 8, jittery and comical. I get that he was Batman when we were growing up, but that does not mean he is automatically awesome. In retrospect, Keaton is the opposite of what Batman should look and act like, admit it. Terrible Batman, second only to Clooney, who couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Bale was the greatest. Aflleck will most likely
Bread - 9/7/2013, 3:11 PM
Of course she's excited, she's banging Batman!
