Chills and thrills: will Gotham City be put on ice? George Clooney is Batman as the dark knight battles his greatest threat yet: cold-hearted Mr. Freeze (Schwarzenegger) and venomous Poison Ivy (Thurman). Batman has more than Gotham City to protect: the youthful eagerness of crimefighting comrades Robin (O'Donnell) and Batgirl (Silversone) puts them frequently in harm's way.

Batman & Robin (1997) was directed by Joel Schumacher, from a script written by Akiva Goldsman. The film starred: Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dr. Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze, George Clooney as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Chris O'Donnell as Dick Grayson/Robin, Uma Thurman as Dr. Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, Alicia Silverstone as Barbara Wilson/Batgirl, Michael Gough as Alfred Pennyworth, Pat Hingle as Commissioner James Gordon, Elle Macpherson as Julie Madison, Vivica A. Fox as Ms. B. Haven, and Vendela Kirsebom as Nora Fries.

BlackCondor - 2/13/2014, 8:08 AM
Is there any BTS video or concept art for the Catwoman Movie? I need to know what were they thinking
MrSocko - 2/13/2014, 8:09 AM
That scene was actually planned?
Pasto - 2/13/2014, 8:10 AM
One of the greatest CBM's of all time. I'm being honest, I like serious CBM's like the next guy, but I also LOVE camp. And this was so campy.
ALmazing - 2/13/2014, 8:12 AM
I second Beto's statement.

JoeMomma29 - 2/13/2014, 8:12 AM
Do not look at those!!!!!!

Nomis - 2/13/2014, 8:13 AM
The only BATMAN movie I ever walked out on!

And I liked 'Batman Forever'! Especially after the weirdness that was 'Batman Returns'! To much Burton influence on that one.

People forget nowadays that 'Batman Returns' almost destroyed the first series of Batman movies and it was 'Batman Forever' that got it back to the good graces of the public.

But Schumacher sold out to the WB execs by making B & Y "Toytastic" and overy campy but having serious situations thrown in for good measure and it was a total mess.

I can watch all the way through now but it took years of re-reading the classic Batman comic stories and the Nolan trilogy to wipe the horrendous feeling this movie left with me.

And without this mess there never would've been Nolan Trilogy so for that I guess I'm glad it was made.
MrMartinMarvel - 2/13/2014, 8:13 AM
This movie doesn't exist! I thought we all agreed on that?!
Holmes - 2/13/2014, 8:14 AM
Batman looks scared as shit in these
beto - 2/13/2014, 8:16 AM
Did Bats had a neck on this movie?
TheMexicanSuperman - 2/13/2014, 8:16 AM
I think Catwoman is worse than Batman & Robin.

Batman & Robin is a crappy movie, but I will emit that I own it on bluray even though I will never watch that crapfest again.
Chekkarma - 2/13/2014, 8:19 AM
My goodness, they even had the bat nipples in the storyboard

JoeMomma29 - 2/13/2014, 8:19 AM
@MexicanSuperman

Be careful and never insert that disc into your bluray player it might infect it. Also you get stud points for admitting you own that movie.
Spidey10 - 2/13/2014, 8:21 AM
I agree with Mr Marvel on this one....I have no idea what you guys are talking about
TheMexicanSuperman - 2/13/2014, 8:24 AM
@ Nomis, I like Batman Forever too. Batman Returns is my favorite of the old Bat films. Batman 89 is one of the most boring films I have ever seen. I have to force myself to stay awake while watching it. Batman & Robin is just piece of crap. Thank God for The Dark Knight Trilogy.
MisterPL - 2/13/2014, 8:24 AM
@ BlackCondor

WB was thinking, "Hey, we never got around to doing that 'Batman Returns' spinoff featuring Catwoman. We should do that before the reboot next year."
TheMexicanSuperman - 2/13/2014, 8:27 AM
@JoeMomma29, haha to late. I bought the Batman Anthology bluray box set, so I marathon the films because I haven't seen them in a while.
DrunkenNukem - 2/13/2014, 8:28 AM
4th movie of superheroes should not exist....this is a rule from now on....Nolan did good with just 3 batman movies...4th could have been a disaster..

Batman & Robin

Superman IV

JustThwipIt - 2/13/2014, 8:30 AM

nonserviam - 2/13/2014, 8:31 AM
The story board looks like it was pulled from Mad Magazine.
drunkenjunk - 2/13/2014, 8:31 AM
Alicia Silverstone was the worst.
TheClemster - 2/13/2014, 8:32 AM
oh please this movie was worse than Gusto's last holiday film

TheGreenGusblin - 2/13/2014, 8:37 AM
lol. Dem nipples
MsDarkPhoenix - 2/13/2014, 8:39 AM
All the evidence that this movie ever existed should be sent to the sun. That's the only way to save our descedants.
Nomis - 2/13/2014, 8:41 AM
@ MexicanSuperman - Batman '89 is Boring? Wow! I don't think I ever heard anyone described it as that! But to each his own.

I get flack when I tell people I didn't like 'the Dark Knight' as much as I do the other two Nolan Batman movies or Ledger's portrayal of the Joker.

But for it's time, Batman '89 was a cultural phenomenon and drastically changed the perspective the mainstream public had of Batman and the Joker by showing what those of us who read the comics already knew, that he was a dark character and his villains were pychopaths and not campy characters from the Adam West TV show.

But the massive success of 'Batman '89' gave Tim Burton a free reign to do what he want in 'Batman Return' that he didn't have with the first movie. there was a lot things Burton wanted to do in the first one that the producer's (Peter Guber and Michale Uslan) put a stop too.

Which is why 'Batman Forever' feels more like a Tim Burton Movie than a Batman movie. And at the time was not as readily accepted as the first movie with the public.

There were even protest from parents groups protesting against the movie back then concerning the handling of the Penguin and the overly sexuality of Catwoman.

Which is why Joel Schumacher was hired for the next movie 'Batman forever'. To 'Lighten' things up and make the Batman movies more 'family friendly' for the mainstream public.

And they threw Robin in the movie for good measure since he was so popular in the comics at the time albeit the Tim drake version of Robin.
Marxman12 - 2/13/2014, 8:48 AM
Alicia Silverstone was a hot batgirl. Nuff said!
TheMexicanSuperman - 2/13/2014, 8:53 AM
@Nomis, it is a good movie, but I don't know why I find Batman 89 boring. What are your thoughts on the Batman films?
DrunkenNukem - 2/13/2014, 8:58 AM
did someone said nipples??

MrReese - 2/13/2014, 9:02 AM
@DukeNukem haha Aniston can still get it.

Arrowhead77 - 2/13/2014, 9:05 AM
The only saving grace for this movie was Alicia Silverstone!! Super hot chick and a sexy Batgirl. Her dialog was terrible though!! Of course, all dialog was terrible in that movie...
DrunkenNukem - 2/13/2014, 9:06 AM
*gets a boner
TheClemster - 2/13/2014, 9:11 AM
@ Gusto

and we will both enjoy it :)
kevberg - 2/13/2014, 9:14 AM
@Nomis
I think you meant Batman Returns not forever. but right on.
kevberg - 2/13/2014, 9:15 AM
Actually I cant tell . But mostly everything were good points.
cipher - 2/13/2014, 9:15 AM
Just take a shot every time there's a pun.

Trust me, you'll f*cking LOVE this movie by the end of the night.
TheClemster - 2/13/2014, 9:16 AM
@ Cipher

already did that lol

my liver gave up before the last battle scene
Nomis - 2/13/2014, 9:18 AM
@ kev - Yeah. I thought I edited all the ones I had got wrong. thanks.
Nomis - 2/13/2014, 9:26 AM
@ MexicanSuperman - The short and sweet of them is this..

Batman '89 - Love it! It was at the perfect time in Batman history and while lacking substance with the main character and focus too much on the Joker, it wiped out all that camp stuff from the '60s that lasted till that movie came out.

Batman Returns - It's an "okay" sequel but suffer from the sequel syndrome. And As I mentioned too much Burton weirdness and not enough material about Batman.

Batman once again became a secondier character in his own movie. But some great action scenes.

Batman Forever - I Like it, a lot!

The only Batman movie of the first series that dig deep into the psyke of Bruce Wayne to where he questions his actions as Batman and the damaging influence it might have on others. In this case Dick Grayson wanting to be Batman sidekick.

Batman and Robin - Hate it! A plight on Batman history and movies in general. It's an abomination and is all that is BAD in the world! Just hideous!

Batman Begins - LOVE IT! the BEST Best Batman origin movie ever made and one of the best movie ever made! Chris Nolan crafted the type of Batman movie I been waiting for where it's about Bruce Wayne and Batman was the vehicle he used to scare the villains and fight his own personal demons!

it was Dark. intelligent. Suspenseful! and had one of the BEST ENDINGS in CBM history!

The Dark Knight It's okay, but not as good as 'Batman Begins' and Nolan almost fell in for making Batman a secondier character in his movie as Burton's movies did.

And Not to the Joker, but to HARVEY DENT.

The Dark knight is actually about HARVEY DENT and NOT Batman, which is why I don't like it as much as the others!

And I'm not too fond of Ledger's Joker. Too much Emo and not megalomaniacal enough for me as Nicholson had been

The Dark Knight Rises the Greatest Comic book movie ever made and the best Batman movie of all time!

For anyone who read Batman comics and dig deep into what he is really about, it it his tenaciousness!

He will always fight to get out of situations, even the ones he put himself in (giving up and taking the blame for Harvey's crime).

For me it's nothing better than a Batman movie where he overcome adversities that seem impossible and the Dark Knight showed that on many levels!

And I choke up when he explains to Gordan how anyone can be a hero by doing even the smallest thing to someone in need!
drunkenjunk - 2/13/2014, 9:28 AM
Dark knight rises was the worst Nolan movie.
cipher - 2/13/2014, 9:28 AM
Clem- Hahahahahaha, MAN DOWN!!
