In August of 2012, LeBron James was asked what he thought of Space Jam, and he tweeted, "I love that movie. Wish I could do Space Jam 2!." Guess what LeBron, it looks like you got your wish. According to Deadline, Dick Ebersol‘s sons are working on a sequel to Space Jam that will be a starring vehicle for the Miami Heat star. James, has been awarded the Most Valuable Player three times during his lustrous career and is the NBA's all-time leading flopper.

Space Jam 2 script is being written by Willie Ebersol, and Charlie Ebersol will produce. Charlies has previous experience blending entertainment and sports with his NFL Characters Unite series that was broadcast on the USA Network cable channel.

1996's Space Jam featured Michael Jordan and fellow NBA stars: Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson and Shawn Bradley. The movie combined live-action actors with animated Looney Tunes stars, like Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, Porky Pig and newcomer Lola Bunny. The plot involved WB's iconic cartoon characters enlisting Michael Jordan to help them defeat an alien race, the Monstars, in a basketball game.

I hope WB dosen't use cgi cause it's gonna be horrible if they do. They should use and only use 2-D. Lebron for MVP, I hate the heat, but I like Lebron. Bulls fan for life.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard since they announced a Stretch Armstrong movie. The original is a timeless classic, and now this? Really?
