New Actor Being Lined Up To Replace Harrison Ford As INDIANA JONES?

Kellvin Chavez of Latino Review, is reporting that Harrsion Ford's Indiana Jones days may be numbered. Like his onscreen father, Sean Connery (James Bond), he too may have to step aside so that a young actor can breathe new life into an iconic character.

The source that told Latino Review Bradley Cooper ("Limitless") would voice Rocket Raccoon in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has informed Kellvin Chavez that Cooper is being eyed to takeover the Indiana Jones franchise. Think of it like a reboot,  what the James Bond franchise has incurred several times.
Our ever reliable sources are informing us that while Harrison Ford might still play Indiana Jones in the next film of the franchise, the window of making that happen is getting smaller and smaller. There is a date and if Indiana Jones 5 is not moving forward by then, the studios are 100% prepared to recast a younger Dr. Jones and ready up a new trilogy. Let’s be realistic, Harrison is not the box office draw he once was and he is only getting older.

And who just might be one of the actors that the studio is looking at ? The word is that they are looking at several but Bradley Cooper is at the top of the list. As to who might be writing the next Indy? We are hearing that Frank Darabont might be taking a crack at the franchise once again. All we heard is that Darabont pitched an idea.

At the end of 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it seemed like Indiana Jones was riding off into the sunset and his son Mutt, played by serial plagiarist Shia LaBeouf, was going to don the iconic fedora and whip, but at the very last moment Mutt was denied. This left many people wondering if Harrison Ford still had one more Indiana Jones left in him. In the past few years, Ford has gone out of his way to say that he still had interest in the role, but the 71-year-old actor ain't no spring chicken. I also find it interesting that Frank Darabont ("Shawshank Redemption") would revisit the franchise after his last go-around. Darabont wrote a script for the fourth Indy, entitled Indiana Jones and the City of Gods. It was set in the 1950's and had "ex-Nazis pursuing Jones." The script was well received by Steven Spielberg, but George Lucas didn't care for it. That's when Lucas stepped in and wrote the screenplay. We all know how that turned out. Inter-dimensional aliens, ugh.

I can see it happening. As long as they go back to actual adventures rather than sensationalist bullshit, I'm sure Indy can work just like Bond.
DonBeastly - 3/25/2014, 8:56 PM
Ford not a box office draw?

He is if he's playing one of his staple characters.

Indy 4 grossed like 800,000,00 big ones.

Im sure his return to Star Wars will also bring in the mula.
DestroyallTrolls - 3/25/2014, 8:56 PM
hmm...
himynameisnik - 3/25/2014, 8:57 PM
If they used Ford maybe just bookending it, telling the audience stories of his youth, that would be cool. I don't wanna see a modernised Indy.
batz11 - 3/25/2014, 8:58 PM
Cooper would be great, damn, why didn't I think of that...
AlphaMasterFlex - 3/25/2014, 8:59 PM
Shia Labeouf or gtfo!
Jcool - 3/25/2014, 8:59 PM
Bradley Cooper would be a terrible Indiana Jones.
Reasonnnn - 3/25/2014, 9:00 PM
@Shia LOL YES

Rocket Raccoon is basically Indy, except that Rocket isn't a professor and isn't afraid of snakes. And he prefers guns rather than a whip
Starfox - 3/25/2014, 9:03 PM
Shia is a great actor!
BlackIceJoe - 3/25/2014, 9:08 PM
Well if Bradley Cooper becomes Dr. Jones then he won't be playing Nathan Drake from Uncharted. I personally would prefer him playing Nathan then Indiana. I really hope Disney keeps Harrison. But I hope they don't use aliens again. I really loved the Nazi's as the villains. But seeing as the last one moved out of that time period. I really hope they make the Soviet Union interesting this time around. If done right the KGB could be a big danger to Indiana.
MrSotoMan - 3/25/2014, 9:08 PM
Rebooting it, is NOT going to sit well.

You guys may act like Raiders of the Lost Ark is not known or even thought of by todays audiences, but you'd be pretty damn surprised by how many Indiana Jones fans still exist after four. PRETTY SURPRISED.

Just reboot Citizen Kane, I mean shit, why don't you just reboot every movie that has won an Oscar.

You can't reboot perfection man, even if Darabont has an idea, screw his idea man just let this shit die, JUST LET IT DIE!
ForeverPowerful - 3/25/2014, 9:08 PM
I just...I...I....[frick]ing whatever. I don't care anymore.
WombRaider - 3/25/2014, 9:10 PM
SHIA LABEAOUF FOR INDIANA JONES!!!!!!!!!

lol
MrSotoMan - 3/25/2014, 9:11 PM
Rocket Raccoon is basically Indy....lmfao who the [frick] came up with that flawed logic!?
Reasonnnn - 3/25/2014, 9:19 PM
@Soto I made the statement, then contradicted it by saying what Rocket isn't. AMAZING RIGHT?
MrSotoMan - 3/25/2014, 9:22 PM
@Reasonnn- Ok about to say.

I don't know why, but this sounds more like bullshit than truth and I trust Latino Review. Maybe just denail, but it just sounds off.

The only way I see this movie going, is Indiana Jones discovering time-travel, which then I would have lost hope, or unless the Ford Indy is chasing down or being chased by a villain he met in the past between Temple of Doom & Last Crusade........god I hope its that.
MexicanSuperman - 3/25/2014, 9:25 PM
@SotoJuiceMan, I believe there was a Citizen Kane remake staring Jason Stratum.
MexicanSuperman - 3/25/2014, 9:27 PM
*Statham
MexicanSuperman - 3/25/2014, 9:29 PM
Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba or GTFO.
TheRationalNerd - 3/25/2014, 9:31 PM
Hmmm, I'm cool with this but I think they should make it modern day. Then again Nathan Drake will basically be like the modern Indiana minus the "whip".
ALmazing - 3/25/2014, 9:33 PM
If Disney decides to replace Harrison Ford as Indy I'll be like

indiana jones animated GIF

and then when the new movie comes out without the true Indy I'll be like

Who Gives A Shit? (Harrison Ford)
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/25/2014, 9:41 PM
failtacular
Curmudgeon - 3/25/2014, 9:54 PM
Ah, the guys who believe anything they get sent have been duped yet again.
MrSotoMan - 3/25/2014, 9:56 PM
@ALmight- I remember watching that scene as a kid, and thinking how terrifying that really looked.

I noticed though, all the Indy movie villains have the most horrifying looking deaths ever, even Indy 4.
Webhead804 - 3/25/2014, 10:05 PM
@Soto That's why I like the Indy movies, the villains are unsympathetic scumbags and get what they rightfully deserve.
Arrowhead77 - 3/25/2014, 10:05 PM
Cool idea! I will miss Harrison, but Indy is too awesome of a character to not keep making movies. Just keep the time period in the 30s-50s depending on the actors age.
Dechiriko - 3/25/2014, 10:06 PM
hope they'll still do one or two movies with harry, lucas and spielberg, after that they might as well retire the franchise or try to do whatever they need to to keep the franchise alive, prequel/reboot/remake. As long as it's fun. Not really like the classic ones could ever be taken down.
koolaidbag - 3/25/2014, 10:15 PM
Make bradly be a older version of Indy III (previously played by Shia), and have Harrison in a Connery like role, then it could work.
SpiderManFan54 - 3/25/2014, 10:48 PM
Wait..

but he's nathan drake???!!! hahha

I literally could see him playing a great Indiana Jones though
KingOnslaught - 3/25/2014, 10:50 PM
i wouldnt mind another Harrison Ford Indy movie but if they decide to reboot it ill have to see what they do with it
mattattack - 3/25/2014, 10:52 PM
Go for it. Crystal Skulls was such shit that it ruined the entire franchise for me.

I could see Cooper nailing it. Just keep Steven and George the hell away from this and we should be ok.
Humperdink - 3/25/2014, 10:52 PM
I wouldn't mind a reboot.
As long as it isn't Shia.

Oh and Shia was not the only thing wrong with Indy 4.
They looked determined to kill the chance of a new franchise with that crap.

Murderball - 3/25/2014, 10:54 PM
Idris Elba?! That's hilarious! Next there will be some lunacy about a black James Bond... And there's fear of Hollywood "whitewashing"? Haha
elib - 3/25/2014, 10:54 PM
I can see Cooper and Darabont pulling off a badass movie
McGee - 3/25/2014, 10:56 PM
McGee - 3/25/2014, 10:56 PM
Just let this franchise die.
jimoakley666 - 3/25/2014, 10:56 PM
Fuk off.
batman1216 - 3/25/2014, 10:56 PM
I feel very uncomfortable with anyone else playing Indiana Jones. Why can't anything just be left alone.
TheBaroness89 - 3/25/2014, 10:57 PM
Awww not Nathan Fillion ? I just love him...just recently got into Castle. Weird they don't go with younger than Cooper like a Nicholas Hoult age range.
