Movie sounds interesting, nonetheless.

Don't see the hype though, I thought the first one was average at best.

I remember seein' the original in the drive-in waaaaay back in '68, and loved the whole original series. Wasn' real fond of the 2000 version, but really like Rise, so I have great expectations for Dawn. Rise would've been the 4th movie (Conquest of The Planet Of The Apes) from the original series, and this would be the 5th (Battle For The Planet Of The Apes). I hope they do a third one, that should be a remake of the first Planet Of The Apes.

I was around for the first set of movies,I was about ten when the first came out and I loved the whole series.
Tim Burton tried but failed to incite any interest, even though he did give us a great ending.

Rise made my blood pump.
I did not realise we would be gatting the follow up so soon...overlooked it.
I have high hopes for this and the above description of the drunken monkey style is just what I am looking for.

I just hope cinema goers go go go !

hey Gary, did not see yours before I posted mine.
Very similar thoughts I see.
So I would have been four years old.
Just reminded me that movies had a longer shelf life and would usually play again as a double bill with the next instalment..
a double bill.
my kids wont believe that one.

tojan, yeah, I was almost 5 when I saw the first one, still remember the lady astronauts shrunk up face when they crashed in the water...asked my brother what happened to her? haha Yeah, you could get to see two movies at the drive-in for the price of one, they are a diein' breed now.

the first movie was really good, massive ape fan got them all on blu-ray.this is gonna blow minds.

@ ezio619

you should watch the original planet of the apes, its still the best one out of them all.

Marvel, I've gotta agree with you, especially for '68, the apes faces were somethin' else, you could see emotion through the masks. and it really was original, plus the big shock endin'. 'Course Charlton Heston was also my favorite actor, so yeah, The Planet Of The Apes and Omega Man will always be among my favorite movies.
