Before Vince Gilligan went off to tell a story about a high school chemistry teacher that gets cancer and turns to cooking and selling meth to pay for his treatment, he was working on the screenplay to Will Smith's Hancock. At that time, the script was known as Tonight He Comes and was about: "a superhero alcoholic who could not make love because if he climaxed, he would kill a woman with the power of his climax." That version was described as "dark" and "twisted." Clearly, we didn't get to see that version in Peter Berg's Hancock, but we can take a glimpse of it with storyboards that were created by storyboard artist Peter Rubin.

"In the original version, Bateman's character tries to set Hancock up with a new, do-gooder, Superman-like image, and debuts it at a big fundraising event with giant corporate sponsors and name music acts. This is the scene in which he discovers he's losing his powers because he had sex with Charlize Theron." - Peter Rubin

Will Smith (he Pursuit of Happyness) stars in this action-packed comedy as Hancock, a sarcastic, hard-living and misunderstood superhero who has fallen out of favor with the public. When Hancock grudgingly agrees to an extreme makeover from idealistic publicist Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman, Juno), his life and reputation rise from the ashes and all seems right again--until he meets a woman (2003 Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron, Best Actress, Monster) with similar powers to his and the key to his secret past.

I enjoy this, it's an interesting take on the reality of what a superhero would be. Something I loved about Hancock, and I would have loved to see more of. Vince did a great job on this.

The movie was great up until
the part where he quit drinking.
That disgusting shit has no place
in any film.

I liked Hancock, but it's not a kinda of movie that I wanna have a sequel. Plus the movie had my favourite superhero-flying scene.
Nomis - 4/2/2014, 9:03 AM

Once he 'sobered up' it went downhill fast!

I liked the first 45 minutes, but the rest was weird, with the whole angel, wife stuff.
sKeemAn - 4/2/2014, 9:21 AM
Gotta agree with Gusto. Sober life is no life
anthonyEstark - 4/2/2014, 9:21 AM
Why does there have to be product placement in even the storyboards?
Arrowhead77 - 4/2/2014, 9:22 AM

@gusto hahaha
MrMenderez - 4/2/2014, 9:39 AM
So the whole idea was to rip off a throwaway conversation from Mallrats, and make an entire movie out of it?

Having said that, I quite enjoyed the movie. Yes, it fell apart in the second act, but I still liked it on the whole.. In the extended Blu-Ray they actually put the scenes of him getting his end away back into the start of the movie.. It's kinda endearing and tragic as much as it's funny..
sKeemAn - 4/2/2014, 9:45 AM
Its time we got ourselves a real XXX cbm. It would be hilarious to see a guy going around giving these hoes the super sperm treatment and them dying from the sheer force and capacity of his orgasm. It sounds like horror porn. lol.
HiTcH - 4/2/2014, 9:50 AM
Adam and Eve tale.
DrunkenNukem - 4/2/2014, 10:07 AM
As long as Will Smith stays away from any Marvel, Darkhorse or DC related film im fine with it...

MrNiklander - 4/2/2014, 10:08 AM

TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 4/2/2014, 10:52 AM
Loved the movie. One of the better CBM flicks.
fettastic - 4/2/2014, 1:01 PM
First half of this movie was fantastic. Second half was total and complete SHIT!

Turns out the whole movie was supposed to be like the second half but went through many revisions, I believe by Smith's "people". Should have just rewritten the whole [frick]ing thing.
manofmidgard - 4/2/2014, 1:42 PM
i thought hancock was a good movie. I'd pay to go see a sequel. this storyboard is kinda dumb though. what is funny is if you look at the panel that zooms in on will's face, where the artist originally made his ears much bigger.
GUNSMITH - 4/2/2014, 4:53 PM
I'D WATCH A SEQUEL..GODDA PIT HIM AGAINST ANOTHER DEMIGOD...NOT HIS MATE BUT MAYBE SOMEONE THAT WANTS HIS MATE, TO HAVE THE IMMORTAL GIRL HAVE HIS POWER AND RULE THE WORLD..
case - 4/2/2014, 7:29 PM
I've never seen it. Looks like I should turn it off halfway through.
MightyZeus - 4/2/2014, 9:19 PM
