Electro & Harry Plot To Kill Spidey In New THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 TV Spot

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

If someone edited all the trailers, clips, and TV spots together we'd have a 1hr 17min cut of the film...they overdid it with the advertising.
Starfox - 4/15/2014, 11:55 AM

The Amazing Redundancy.

At least in Sam Raimi's series it took Harry the whole trilogy, unlike in Webb's when he turns evil in just one movie.
Scorpion8125 - 4/15/2014, 12:10 PM
Maybe they plan to kill pervy Spidey for what he is doing to sweet young Gwen.

Electro will be the first Spiderman film villain to NOT have ties to Peter Parker it appears hahahaha

Also, I assume that Harry Goblin and Electro will be the first two member of the sinister six

DoctorSquishy - 4/15/2014, 12:40 PM
Does it seem to anyone else that it feels like I've already seen this movie? I mean this actual movie. It feels like there have been so many trailers, sneak peaks, video blogs, etc that the whole movie is practically out there. I know the studio needs a big a hit, but it's starting to feel really desperate.
MrMartinMarvel - 4/15/2014, 12:47 PM
11 pm east coast?! Now I know you're trying to [frick] with me Singer!
merrillmind - 4/15/2014, 12:59 PM
"I've feel like we've seen the whole movie" What an idiotic thing to say, it's about will power, for instance I haven't watched all of the spots or footage because guess what? Nobody makes you watch the footage, you choose what you watch and spoil everything for yourself. Will the movie be good or bad? I don't know but it won't be ruined for my self because I used a little know thing called WILLPOWER! And guess what? SO CAN YOU, so just please shut up!!!!!!
RetroFit - 4/15/2014, 1:03 PM
I've only watched 1 trailer and I still feel like I've seen the entire movie. It's impossible to miss it on this site, whether you click or read the articles or not.
DCSaysHailHydra - 4/15/2014, 1:03 PM
A fan becomes an enemy…

I didn't know Overdrive was in this movie!

merrillmind - 4/15/2014, 1:03 PM
And another thing basic marketing for any movie is to over saturate the hell out of it, even if everyone knows about your movie then job well done. The window for a movie in theaters to make a profit can be very small so you have to push the hell out of it prior to release, just like Raimi and SONY did with Spider-Man 2 ten years ago because it's how you market a movie morons.
RetroFit - 4/15/2014, 1:04 PM
Merrillmind, you need to chillax and stop worrying about what other people are thinking or saying. It's just their opinion.

McGee - 4/15/2014, 1:05 PM
Who else read that as Electro and Harry Potter because they were dropped on their head as a baby?
merrillmind - 4/15/2014, 1:06 PM
Don't come to a site like this one and ever complain about "too much" this entire site and it's community chooses to report everything and post all footage leaked or officially released, and that's fine as long as the people who choose to come on this site accept it and shut up about being "spoiled"
