I'm a little leery of anything to do with Guillermo Del Toro right now, Pacific Rim looked [frick]ing amazing too, and turned out to be, for the most part, garbage.

But I'll give this a chance, it's about time vampires got back to being vampires and not this Twilight bullshit.

Del Toro is bordering on Krusty the Clown territory. Pumping a bunch of stuff out under a brand name of hit and miss quality.

Since they can't get the movie made I think Perlman & GDT continue Hellboy as a show on FX.

And what about TV Show "Monster"(anime adaptation) for HBO??????????????????

I like the book a lot. I hope they don't show the vampire as too monster-like, especially the Master. In the books they are creepy as [frick] because they look like deformed creepy people with black eyes, no body hair and white skin. The Master is a voldemort lookalike in the book. No nose, tall, bald, white and so creepy that everyone avoids looking at him. Just looking at him is a terrible and traumatizing experience.

I want them to respect that. It gets silly and not scarry at all when they look too monstrous. The secret is to make them resemble more a deformed human being. That's the scary shit. It's all about the Uncanny Valley.
