New Extended TV Spot For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: "Outlaws"

Though a bit light on any new footage, this fifth extended tv ad for Marvel's upcoming space-set adventure flick is still well worth a look. See Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket let loose on the bad guys after the jump.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film opens August 1, 2014.

It's just a chunk of the second trailer, nothing new
YoungThanos - 6/15/2014, 8:32 AM
In after the "better than ASM and DOFP" comments!

....Because its clearly better.
DropAload - 6/15/2014, 8:32 AM
Gonna have blast when I see this sittin on my ass.
TheAbaryMan369 - 6/15/2014, 8:34 AM
As much as I want some new footage, I applaud GotG for being the first Comic Book Movie of the year not to spoil the whole movie in trailers (However, that could change between now and August).
Lozzy - 6/15/2014, 8:34 AM
Who's the hot blonde next to Glenn Close?
Snooper - 6/15/2014, 8:36 AM
@YoungThanos Listen dude, hate to disapoint, but I saw the film. It doesnt beat Xmen or Cap II. Its a fun flick, but there are still a few problems in the movie. Sorry man.
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 8:37 AM
TV spots like this are just lazy.
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:39 AM
snooper-what did u think of it overall?
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:40 AM
hopefully they dont reveal too much from now till august
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:41 AM
Snooper-it may not for u but it may for other people
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:42 AM
Phronesis-cause they dont reveal too much,i think that would be a good thing?
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 8:42 AM
@Snooper- and where did you see the movie?
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 8:44 AM
@ezio619 No, as it's basically just the second half of Trailer 2.
AlexanderLykins - 6/15/2014, 8:45 AM
The Fault in Our Stars was awesome! Go see it!
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:45 AM
Phronesis-so ,i think its good they arent revealing to much plus these tv spots are for the general audience who havent seen the trailer 20 plus times or something
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:46 AM
Alex-i do want it,i know im gonna cry watching that film, is it depressing?
Snooper - 6/15/2014, 8:46 AM
@Marvel A dark room with a screen in front?
@Ezio I enjoyed the film a lot but it still wasnt as good as DOFP or TWS. It is better than TASM however.
I feel as if most of the great cast is somewhat wasted in the movie. Especially Djimoun Hounsou. He coulda been a great Black Panther.
DoubleD - 6/15/2014, 8:48 AM
Star Wars Marvel style :)
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:50 AM
Snooper-yeah i have heard that Djimon Housnous role isnt that big in the film which is sd cause i really like him as an actor,i think he may be too old now, i think he is 50 years old now..he could maybe playing t chaka, t challas father

what were the things u liked about it and didnt like about it
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:52 AM
Snooper-i know Glenn Close and John C reilly have minor roles in the film, but what did u think of the guardians themselves and the villains in Thanos,Ronan, Nebula, also how was Yondu?
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 8:52 AM
@Snooper- Oh Really? Like no I meant how did you see it and how did you get in? Are you like McNya where you get a chance/tickets for these early screenings? Or did you just get lucky because you happen to know a few people
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 8:53 AM
@ezio619 It's still possible to not show lots of new footage either way. There's nothing new about this tv spot editing wise, music wise, and footage wise.
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 8:53 AM
@NakedSpiderman-Exactly Lool
JoJo1982 - 6/15/2014, 8:54 AM
@Snooper

Was the action as good as Cap 2?
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 8:54 AM
Phronesis-ok fine
JoJo1982 - 6/15/2014, 8:58 AM
Damn I just read that Thanos ain't no taller then Ronan...... Don't expect to be Hulk size or anything :(

That sucks
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 8:59 AM
You really can't even compare the action in this film to Cap 2. Cap 2 action is much more gritty & physical.
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 9:00 AM
@JoJo- where did you read that?
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 9:00 AM
JOJO-where did u read that, i know McNyagano said he was imposing in his scenes

also i dont think the action will be like Cap 2, Cap 2 is more visceral ,i think this will be different
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 9:03 AM
@ezio- This will Definitley have more "adventurous" type action
JoJo1982 - 6/15/2014, 9:09 AM
WtF Adam Warlock hatching from his cocoon is in this movie!!!!!

Oh shit!!!
AlexanderLykins - 6/15/2014, 9:09 AM
@ezio619
I think love and death are beautiful. So no, I didn't think it was depressing. You get to see humans, albeit acting, at or near their best. I didn't cry for the sake of losing my manhood. It's a great movie. I'll rent it and cry my butt off though. I try to avoid these kind of movies but every once in a while I'll catch one. Then they stay on my mind for a really long time.

The entire theater was sobbing though. It was crazy because people were full on losing it. I'm talking like death of a family member type crying. I thought people were joking but when we left the theater you'd have thought we were at a funeral.

I highly recommend the movie.

"@YoungThanos Listen dude, hate to disapoint, but I saw the film. It doesnt beat Xmen or Cap II. Its a fun flick, but there are still a few problems in the movie. Sorry man."

I don't know what's more insulting...

a)You putting Faux-men in the same sentence as The Winter Soldier.
b)Assuming your tolerance for Singer's crap, somehow sways my opinion.
c)Marvel Studio's giving you of all people a viewing of a film still in post production. (If that's even true)
d)Adding TWS to the subject while leaving Spider-fail out. (I never even mentioned TWS so why bring it up?)

You might be a cool guy to someone out there but you're not starting on the right foot currently. When I need an opinion of Faux-men I'll give you one!

Good day.
AlexanderLykins - 6/15/2014, 9:10 AM
@JoJo1982
Link?
ezio619 - 6/15/2014, 9:11 AM
Alex-WOW,i will definetly see it as soon as i can...i dont mind crying during movies..we go to be connected and experiencing things in film and if a movie touches it..thats fantastic imo
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 9:13 AM
@JoJo- ok you're clearly just [Frick]ing around right now lol...
JoJo1982 - 6/15/2014, 9:15 AM
I said nothing about comparing the action to Cap 2

Basically Cap2 had the best action sequences this year, are we going to get some great space fights and one on one battle
JoJo1982 - 6/15/2014, 9:16 AM
Lol I send y'all the link in the inbox fellas

It spoiled who's died and some other stuff
YoungThanos - 6/15/2014, 9:17 AM
Marvel1997 - 6/15/2014, 9:13 AM
"@JoJo- ok you're clearly just [Frick]ing around right now lol..."

What do you mean "right now?"

I always thought the J. O. stood for "Jack.."

Never mind.
