Based on the wildly popular DC Comics series “Hellblazer,” seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine (Matt Ryan, “Criminal Minds”) specializes in giving hell… hell. Armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts and his wickedly naughty wit, he fights the good fight — or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he’s decided to leave his do-gooder life behind, but when demons target Liv (Lucy Griffiths, “Robin Hood”), the daughter of one of Constantine’s oldest friends, he’s reluctantly thrust back into the fray – and he’ll do whatever it takes to save her. Before long, it’s revealed that Liv’s “second sight” — an ability to see the worlds behind our world and predict supernatural occurrences — is a threat to a mysterious new evil that’s rising in the shadows. Now it’s not just Liv who needs protection; the angels are starting to get worried too. So, together, Constantine and Liv must use her power and his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows… maybe there’s hope for him and his soul after all. The cast also includes Harold Perrineau and Charles Halford.

Constantine premiers October 24th.

I wonder if this can make it to season 2. Not everyone can do what Supernatural does. Yet Grimm did make it pass 1 season.
MrBlackjack - 8/18/2014, 3:15 PM
It's Cipher's better looking brother!

Pilot was alright. Nothing really special.

@ telaVizion

Well NBC was smart on their Friday line up, they have Grimm which has a good following and Hannibal which is just an amazing show with solid ratings. So to put a similar dark show between those two shows is just a smart move even though it is a Friday I see this show doing good.

@ SteamBlust

I agree the dialogue was bit choppy but that is a given for any new show.......also the pilot I saw was not in HD, and personally I love to see good visuals etc......

Constantine leaked too?
Laconic - 8/18/2014, 3:53 PM
Too bad it's not on HBO or Netflix, but it looks good.
xstartripper - 8/18/2014, 3:55 PM
@FordEl

it leaked around the time The Flash's pilot leaked, but it has since been reshot.
Dingbat - 8/18/2014, 4:00 PM

NovaCorpsFan - 8/18/2014, 4:00 PM
I have seen the pilot and it was [frick]ing awesome.
NovaCorpsFan - 8/18/2014, 4:02 PM
And Grimm is my favourite show at the moment. Don't know why it gets so little attention on the site here, there are tie-in comics.
Doopie - 8/18/2014, 4:09 PM
da iawn

Constantine is travelling through dimensions, taking on the role of a pirate and dark arts detective.

It's a bad momento to be a DC fan! (well, now and ever LOL)
DaneMendieta - 8/18/2014, 5:09 PM

Cant DC do nothing good?
RobertLiefeld - 8/18/2014, 5:23 PM

[frick]ing awesome pilot I saw !! I wanna see a Lucifer Constantine Showdown !!! Bring it on muthafukaz
JediPhilosopher - 8/18/2014, 7:57 PM
My interest in DC occult-based characters is limited. Ghosts, demons, gods.. If I believed any of that was remotely possible, I'd probably be religious.
I do believe in not changing personality points about characters. Constantine smokes.
Orehrepus - 8/18/2014, 8:05 PM
Ahhh... can't wait for this.
KingRainbow - 8/18/2014, 10:44 PM
Yeah... In the pilot, they "incorporated" that he uses the lighter, nodding to the fact that he smokes... Too bad they can't "show" that he actually smokes... Only that he does smoke off-screen :/
DaneMendieta - 8/19/2014, 7:07 AM
Fail show has a thread of 35 comments including mine

Instead any thread of SHIELD is full of winnage

; )
xstartripper - 8/19/2014, 8:52 AM
Yeah, the show heavily implies he smokes. He plays with a lighter and they actually show him putting out a cigarette at the end of the pilot. So people need to stop complaining about the smoking thing.
gurugeorge - 8/20/2014, 6:03 AM
No we don't, we need to keep complaining till this kind of ridiculous Bowdlerization stops.
