Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

GOTG is out now, and if you haven't seen it yet, what are you waiting for ?

Oilira - 8/25/2014, 8:51 AM
I am groot!
means this really funny!
Pasto - 8/25/2014, 8:51 AM
Ugh, the shear fact that Wonderbread is the top comment on a Marvel article is just a sign of "the end".

I feel like I'm the only dude here who hasn't since GOTG yet.
yossarian - 8/25/2014, 8:54 AM
Yeah they made out with tongues and grabbed crotch.

No school today?
yossarian - 8/25/2014, 8:56 AM
GOTG didn't have Adam Goldberg or Madelyn Marie.

Therefore it can only be a 4/5.
sKeemAn - 8/25/2014, 8:58 AM
That looks like tons of fun.
cipher - 8/25/2014, 9:00 AM
Why don't they ever think about the Goldbergites when they make these things? MotherF*CKERS. They're not getting my 12 bucks. THAT'LL teach them.
Jollem - 8/25/2014, 9:00 AM
yossarian - 8/25/2014, 9:08 AM
I know. If Hollywood would simply cast Adam Goldberg in every movie, they would make 12 bucks more if I see the movie and possibly 1 dollar more when a movie hits RedBox.
RorMachine - 8/25/2014, 9:13 AM
Is that the dude from Fargo and Saving Private Ryan?

And..err...Dazed And Confused?
cipher - 8/25/2014, 9:16 AM
Yeah. Hollywood's really digging themselves a big f*cking hole here, and they're going to have to lay in it. Would I have enjoyed most of the stuff my girlfriend made me sit through if Goldberg was in it? Absolutely. Would I consider more of my girlfriends terrible picks if Goldberg was in them? Yup.

That's what you're f*cking up, Hollywood. PETITION, MOTHERF*CKERS!! Now, I'm fighting dirty.

...............Meh
Omarvls - 8/25/2014, 9:17 AM
I was one of the ones that said

Marvel's Star Wars or Marvel's Green Lantern

Well it turned into Marvel's Star Wars
92% Critics 95% General Audience

Box Office 700-750 Million

Groot and Rocket Raccoon household names

WOW
slickrickdesigns - 8/25/2014, 9:18 AM
Glad to see these guys having fun after making an awesome movie and it being super successful even though all the DC fans said it would bomb! Score another point for Marvel. Not sure DC's imaginary slate can compete with the fire Marvels smokin!
yossarian - 8/25/2014, 9:19 AM
@Ror - Yes. He is also known as "Hollywood's Secret Weapon" as everything he is in turns to gold...hence his last name.

He was good in the Fargo TV show too.

@slickrickdesigns

"Score another point for Marvel. Not sure DC's imaginary slate can compete with the fire Marvels smokin!"

I know DC Only Fanatics wanted this movie to bomb bad, but it turned out to be a BLOCKBUSTER having said that Marvelites still think it's the same DC/WB
NO DC/WB is coming like a bulldozer

I've already called Dawn of Justice bigger,better and winner of the box office over Age of Ultron

Omarvls - 8/25/2014, 9:28 AM
@Jollem

One is one of the BIGGEST FLOPS in CBM History (DC's Batman and Robin) and the other is Marvel going Cosmic in a BLOCKBUSTER way.

So yeah I see the similarities

You FAIL once again
cipher - 8/25/2014, 9:28 AM
I always thought I'd rock the shit out of Freeze's robe.

Slippers, too.
Jollem - 8/25/2014, 9:32 AM
@Omarvls -

yossarian - 8/25/2014, 9:33 AM
While I agree with Cipher, Adam Goldberg would have killed Freeze.

GOLDBERGITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omarvls - 8/25/2014, 9:33 AM
@Jollem

Now that is funny

lol
TheGoddamnPeel - 8/25/2014, 9:40 AM
Ah Michael Rooker, one of my top twenty actors of all time. You're time on the Walking Dead ended too soon. Your character was an asshole, but he was an asshole I could get behind with.
Space - 8/25/2014, 9:46 AM
haha that was funny!
slickrickdesigns - 8/25/2014, 9:59 AM
@Omarvls

Heres to hoping WB/DC can make a film that could be as good if not better than Avengers, TWS, GOTG and AOU.
I really hope they give marvel a reason to up their game a little.

Jollem - 8/25/2014, 10:08 AM
"Heres to hoping WB/DC can make a film that could be as good if not better than Avengers, TWS, GOTG and AOU."

they already did. the movies are Man of Steel, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Watchmen

it's movies like those that have been making marvel studios up their game a little
PymParticle - 8/25/2014, 10:10 AM
lmfao "grooting"
Omarvls - 8/25/2014, 10:13 AM
@slickrickdesigns

My point is that Marvelites still think DC/WB is destined to fail or something
and the reason I picked Dawn of Justice over Age of Ultron is that I've already seen the Avengers assemble but seeing the early begginings of the Justice League is something that will be more Epic then Age of Ultron

In My Opinion that is
Liderc - 8/25/2014, 10:15 AM
@Jollem I wouldn't consider Man of Steel 'that' good, but I agree that Marvel hasn't made that many good films, just popular ones.

Iron Man 3 was a total debacle, Thor 2 was one of the worst movies I've seen in years. Guardians was better than Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 put together.

But, Captain America 2 was a very well made movie, probably better than Guardians as a movie, not just a comic book movie.
TheGoddamnPeel - 8/25/2014, 10:15 AM
@Omarvls

I'm a DC comic fan over marvel comics, but I'm a marvel movie fan over dc movies. I respect the tones of movies like Man of Steel and TDK trilogy, but until the day comes that WB can make a successful and entertaining movie with the balanced grit and humour that Marvel movies like Guardians of the Galaxy had, I'll never personally feel DC will be up there alongside Marvel in terms of movies to my liking.
Omarvls - 8/25/2014, 10:21 AM

@TheGoddamnPeel

Everything that we've seen come out of the production of Dawn of Justice has been top notch I feel this movie is going to be so EPIC it will change the CBM game going forward. Since it's moved to a March 2016 release date I feel this is the movie that has the best chance of reaching the magical number of 2 Billion at the box office
But we will see
Jollem - 8/25/2014, 10:23 AM
@Liderc - agree. tho, i haven't seen gotg yet and i thought thor 2 wasn't that bad

i think MoS is the best superhero movie made so far
TheGoddamnPeel - 8/25/2014, 10:27 AM
@Omarvls,

I'm not sure you got what I was saying at the end. I want DC movies like Dawn of Justice to have a balanced amount of grit and humour like the marvel movies, and still be successful and entertaining. If it doesn't, then I'll always prefer the marvel movies. There is no doubt Dawn of Justice won't do well in the box office, but that won't mean I'll have to enjoy it in the same league as the marvel movies.
yossarian - 8/25/2014, 10:31 AM
@dio Hey man. Can you help me with a math question?

If 70 is the lowest weird number. And 2 and 5 are the only prime number ending in 2 or 5.

What is 64 divided by 2?
Jollem - 8/25/2014, 10:37 AM
the answer is porkchop. a 40 year old porkchop
Rulk - 8/25/2014, 10:39 AM
LOL Awesome video! I love that these guys can have fun with it! :)

Darktower - 8/25/2014, 10:41 AM
