Michael Keaton Responds To BATMAN Envy Question In The Best Possible Way

Christian Bale recently admitted that he did feel a slight pang of jealousy knowing that he was to be replaced as the Caped Crusader by Ben Affleck. Does the original big-screen Bat feel the same way? Nah, he is Batman!

In an interview with this month's Empire Magazine, Christian Bale very candidly admitted that even though it was always very unlikely that Christopher Nolan would return to helm a fourth Dark Knight movie, a little part of him still thought there was a chance it'd happen. So when it was announced that Ben Affleck would be stepping into the cape for Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, he told the mag that he "just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour.”

A natural reaction after playing the character over three films and doing a damn fine job of it, but what about our original movie Batman Michael Keaton? His response when asked about it by Shortlist Magazine couldn't be more perfect.

Finally, Christian Bale recently said he felt jealous to see Ben Affleck wearing the cape and cowl — do you ever get that?

“No. Do you know why? Because I’m Batman. I’m very secure in that.”

There are many that would agree...but even if you don't you've gotta respect that answer! Who do you think has been the best big-screen Batman?
