COMICS: The Biggest Reveals & SPOILERS From Today's Issues

There are a couple of major SPOILERS here, so just one final warning before reading any further. Okay? First up we have the return of Donna Troy. This character -- originally created as a younger version of Wonder Woman -- has been referenced in DC's New 52 universe, but hasn't actually shown up until now. Here she is making a dramatically naked entrance on the final page of today's issue of Wonder Woman.

Ever wondered where The Endless came from? We've had hints about their origins in the pages of Neil Gaiman's original Sandman run all those years ago, but now it's pretty much spelled out in Sandman: Overture #4. The gentleman below eating the apple is undoubtedly a personification of Adam, the first man. I suppose that makes sense...kinda.

Next up we have the death of a major Marvel character. Because Axis has made certain villains behave heroically and certain heroes behave like complete bastards, Cletus Kasady (aka the serial killing symbiote Carnage) gave his life for the greater good. All he asked in return for such a noble sacrifice was a pretty hilarious sounding memorial. Think Spidey will be true to his word?

And finally we have what might just be Geoff Johns' less fatale solution to Superman snapping Zod's neck at the end of Man Of Steel. In today's Justice League, Amazo gains Supes' optic blasts and goes on a rampage. Kal El is forced to take him down, but instead of snapping his neck, he simply clamps an invulnerable hand over Amazo's eyes. This could be coincidental of course, but it still raises an interesting debate..again! Is this all Henry Cavill's Superman had to do to stop Zod in the movie? Or was the whole point that the villain was never going to stop no matter what Clark did to try to apprehend him? Thanks to Bleeding Cool for the scans.

That wasn't going to work on Zod. Supes would have burned his hand. Well nice to see Donna.

So what? He's Superman, that'll heal in like ten seconds...

Question is...

Is Superman invincible towards his own heat vision?

If so, is Zod's heat vision then harmless to Superman?

They're both the same Kryptonian heat vision.

Now if he'd clamped his hands over Zod's eyes, but the lasers STILL burnt through his hands, forcing him to snap Zod's neck … that would be more believable for me

and since Snyder loves the whole "Superman is Jesus" message, that could've looked like stigmata

I hear you, they could have moved but the family was probably in shock, they've never seen a "man" with heat vision before, and they have their kid with them, there;s also broken gravel/concrete everywhere, what if they fell when they were trying to get away

I actually would've liked if superman grabbed zod, flew all the way up to the edge of the atmosphere, and just swung him into deep space.

its still killing, but it doesn't look "harsh"
and I like space.
space is cool.

Superman didn't have a choice. There was no prison that could hold Zod.
