Jennifer Garner On Possible Daredevil Reboot

Well its reboot/remake/requel, or my favorite.."reimagining" talk again. This time Jennifer Garner tells what she knows(or doesnt know) about a new "Daredevil"
Though rumors have been buzzing of a potential relaunch of the “Daredevil” franchise at Fox, former “Elektra” star Jennifer Garner hasn’t been involved in any talks that may have occurred so far.

MTV News caught up with Garner during a press event for her upcoming romantic comedy, “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.” When informed that a relaunch is in the works, Garner asked, “Is there really?” She then jokingly added, “Actually, we’re shooting it right now.”

Garner played the Frank Miller-created Greek assassin in both 2003’s “Daredevil” as well as 2005’s “Elektra” spin-off. Of course, behind-the-scenes, she ended up marrying co-star Ben Affleck who, recently, addressed the issue of a relaunch himself and seemed pretty firm in saying that his superhero days are behind him.

Assuming Garner’s lack of info on the project puts her in the same boat, it sounds like a good bet that Fox will go the “Incredible Hulk” and “Punisher: War Zone” route with “Daredevil,” and revamp the franchise completely.

Fox, who also controls the rights to Marvel properties in “Fantastic Four” and “X-Men” needs to move forward with new film versions or else runs the risk of having the rights revert back to Marvel. Back in 1994, the infamous never-released Roger Corman “Fantastic Four” was created entirely to satisfy this same legal angle. Let’s hope that Fox has more positive plans for “Daredevil.”

I dont see the need for a remake. I thought DD was alright.

Down for another film though.
Johno - 4/24/2009, 9:57 AM
i was satisfied with Daredevil if anything there should be a sequel,

so did i read that right?, fox makes movies just for the [frick] of it just so they wont lose the rights?
loganaspatch - 4/24/2009, 10:09 AM
Yep, pretty much! I also enjoyed Daredevil, it could have been better but it could have been much worse. Affleck was even ok..and i really liked Garner as Elektra. Colin Farrel was a riot as Bullseye too. And it followed(for the most part) probably the most popular story which is Frank Millers. If they do this reboot i wonder which story from the comic they would pick.

Id prefer a sequel too. But i wouldnt mind some recasting and a different director.
Rorschach01 - 4/24/2009, 10:30 AM
I have to disagree with you guys, I thought DD was terrible. The action, choreographs, acting, was pretty bad. I couldn't stand Ben Affleck, Garner was alright, and I thought King Pin was pretty bad, I don't think this movie was well executed at all.

I think Bullseye was the best thing in that movie. Though I agree no reboot, just make a sequel and make it better then the first. I'm really tired of this rebooting crap.
Stumblin - 4/24/2009, 10:48 AM
Has anybody seen the Daredevil Directors cut as that was actually much better than the original (even though there wasn't much added to it). Although when it came out I adored the Daredevil original so I wouldn't mind a sequel. I'm getting a bit sick of these reeboots to be honest as I mean the main thing that the comics have going for them is the continuity (which iswhy spider-man fans have been angry recently) I hope that soon companies like 20th century fox will clock onto this and keep sequels going. I think I would love them to do it James Bond style where they change the actor every few movies but they are still within the same storyline.
FattSmelliott - 4/24/2009, 10:54 AM
They dont need to.
but if they did i would not care.
who would play in it?

NightAvenger4 - 4/24/2009, 10:58 AM
No reboot necessary. Just build off the story they have, and they can go into any direction they want with it. I mean, Punisher did it...though that's not that great of an example. Same with Hulk.

Point is, work with what you got, no need for drastic plastic surgery.

If I'm forced to sit through another tacky long winded origin story again....
Weeton - 4/24/2009, 11:05 AM
MAKE A SEQUEL!!!!!! THE DIRECTORS CUT RULED!!!!!!! ALL CAPS!!!!!!!!!!
CaptainAmerica - 4/24/2009, 11:13 AM
The directors cut is my favorite marvel movie along with the new Bad Ass punisher movie. haha snoop dog was hilarious. but i say reboot cause jennifer i couldnt see as elektra and ben affleck was a good matt murdock but sucked as daredevil. they need to get a martial artist to play daredevil.
greasedlightning - 4/24/2009, 11:39 AM
oh and michael clark duncan regardeless if hes black or not was an awesome kingpin. i wouldnt f* with him and colin farrel was crazy too.
greasedlightning - 4/24/2009, 11:41 AM
Daredevil wasn't all bad. The suit and weapon were good.

But there were so many things about it that seriously SUCKED.

1. Making his radar power work by sound is SO [frick]ING STUPID. They turned his most important power into stupid echo location, which, if you understood daredevil's fighting style you would understand why that's bad. For combat purposes Daredevil's radar is better than sight. It tells him a 3D mental image EVERYHTING that is happening around him 360 degrees. He can "see" around corners and behind him perfectly. Every move that is made and the basic shape of every object in his vicinity registers in his mind instantly. And this tells him important things like when someones finger pulls a trigger, and the precise tragactory of the bullet.
But in the stupid movie he had to bang on a piece of metal to even find out a bad guy was hiding behid something. His aradar power is what allows him to climb and jump around on buildings without falling. His perception tells him things a sighted person wouldn't be able to catch. Screw that.

2 Dialogue and plot were aweful.
Daredevil in the comics talks like you and me. In the movie he just makes reference after reference to his blindness. Over and over he mentions it. It was so lame. The cliches in this movie nearly killed me with cheesyness. It's like the writer took the dialogue from a bunch of greeting cards and bad 70's martial arts flicks and knit it all together.
lol is there anybody in the marvel Universe whose father Kingpin didn't kill?

3.And lets not forget the final fight. lol a stupid double kick to the BACK OF TH KNEES??? WTF is that supposed to do? make Kingpin laugh? i think the idea is that that was supposed to break both of his knees, but no, sorry it would never work. You have to kick the side of the knee to break it. Front or back just won't do it.

I could go on for days.

Juggernaut - 4/24/2009, 11:58 AM
dare devil was a good flick ben was decent as dd alto hes getting a little long it the tooth. this rebootng thing is getting played out. but maybe it has to be done because some one else owns the ip of the origional screen play and marvel cant continue from that for legal actions. hummmm could be
nick cage for daredevil
darthstern - 4/24/2009, 12:10 PM
Well Juggy,

1) He had the sonar sense in the movie at all times, sound did amplify it but seriously, is that really something to be getting that worked up over? a slight deviation in his abilities?

2) That suit was awful, lol, the one thing you did like was one of the worst things about it for me. With that big stupid zip straight down the middle he looked like a gay hells angel.

3) The dialogue wasnt great, but i have heard a lot worse too. It didnt annoy me that much really. i only remember even saying the word blind once and that was in the intro! So not sure were your getting the constant referencing from. And the plot was very good i thought.

4) Its a kick to the front of the knees and believe me if you kicked someone full force straight in the knee caps, they aint walking anywhere anytime soon.

Your reasons for not liking it are kinda strange, you could say similar about pretty much any comic book movie there is. Realism isnt they're strong suit.

My issues with the movie were like stunblins, the fight scenes and choreography really let it down..that playground scene was cringy, and Affleck wasnt quite good enough. Other than that i think its better than FF 1 and 2, Ghost Rider, Punisher(both of them), Spidey 3 and X 3..but for some reason it gets lumped in with them as "one of the bad ones"..i demand a recount! Lets get Daredevil back on the good side!
Rorschach01 - 4/24/2009, 12:41 PM
that double kick was to the front of Kingpin's knees. There's quite a difference there painwise man. lol. that was a brutal finish to their fight - are you kidding? he kicked the dude's knees in - picture that. the sound of his knees caving in was fantastic.
Keven - 4/24/2009, 12:45 PM
The suit was perfect. Whats he supposed to do, run around in a bright red spandex suit, like in the books? Thats ridiculous. The movie suit was awesome when he had it zipped all the way up. It actually looked real enough. Meaning, it didnt make him look gay.

For some reason, i can see Josh Hartnett or Aaron Eckhart as Daredevil. Please do not cast, horrible, Jason Statham in this role. Hes a joke.
DarkAvengers - 4/24/2009, 1:00 PM
yeah the kick was to the front of the knees and it made me cringe!

i thought the sonar idea was pretty good sorta like a bat or a dolphin people that arent into comics could actually relate and see oh okay thats a pretty good idea, atleast i thought so

but hey i liked the suit! lol

theres just people on each side of the fence on this movie

i would say its better then the punisher movies, way less annoying then spiderman 3 as far as action and visuals its not as good as x3.. cmon magneto moved the golden gate bridge you gotta give it points for that
i liked ff2 .. its just tough to get a spot on daredevil, when did it come out wasnt it one of the first comicbook movies after the success of xmen? thats gotta account for something.
loganaspatch - 4/24/2009, 1:02 PM
No, they could have kept the suit leather just made it look more like the comic. If there had to be a zip it could have went somewhere else, not straight up the middle! It looked like a red biker jacket. Add the leather pants and without the mask he could have doubled as a Tom Jones impersonator.

[frick] Statham, he is a joke. Eckhart would be good as would that dude from Dexter
Rorschach01 - 4/24/2009, 1:05 PM
I liked daredevil very much

they jus need better special effects and very good stunt men
not computer fx but real stunts ) and fight

it will be very fine to make a seaquel with

the Frank Millers Graphin Novel ( born Again) this is the best comic book ever ........and the movie will be fine )))
Oleg Condrea - 4/24/2009, 1:48 PM
lol. Dexter.

He's a good actor - true......I just don't see that happening. Although the idea of Bullseye waking up strapped to a table in plastic while Daredevil cuts his face and satisfy's his deep seeded horrible urges - seems quite hilarious to me.

It's no worse than Punisher punching a hole through some dude's face. lol. I guess that was somewhat scientific though considering Coke weakens the cartiledge etc. around the nose and whatnot.
Keven - 4/24/2009, 1:50 PM
@Rorschach01

Excellent call on the dude from Dexter (Michael C. Hall) as Matt Murdock/DareDevil. I read your response and it was like someone slapped me with a "OBVIOUS" hand upside the head. If they are doing any reebooting do it to the daredevil suit and make it more like the comics.

For Elektra I wouldn't mind seeing the chick from NCIS (Cote de Pablo) with some training and some conditioning I think she could pull it off.
icebergslick - 4/24/2009, 1:52 PM
I'd like to see electra in another daredevil movie, for I highly doubt that she would have her own movie ever again
Evil1991 - 4/24/2009, 2:13 PM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dexter would be good, also am I the only one that liked the outfit. I mean when you put it up against the x-men movie outfits, I think they did a great job turning tights into a real costume.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yohon Kalic - 4/24/2009, 2:21 PM
i think fox should let the rights lapse so marvel can come in and kick ass.

that's the main difference that made hulk and iron man better.
NO FOX!!

fanboys will never be satisfied otherwise.(seems like fox doesn't care)
fox's priorities...
1) money
2) money
3) money

notice integrity isn't even on the list.

let's face it the big corp.s just want to make more money and the comics themselves are not top priority.
Watcher47 - 4/24/2009, 2:31 PM
OMG!!! : D ... I just wrote alot and it wouldn't go through lol, that'll teach me heh! Basically BULLSEYE was the best thing in DD and ELECTRA was the worst!!! (Cardboard acting for one thing). She was way better in ELECTRA spin off, but because that didn't make much, i suppose thats why we didn't get a DD 2!!! Lmao, if FOX asked AFFLECK to do DD 2 he would!!! Yeah i like it, DEXTER guy would be a good pick! DD just ain't all muscle! Though i think we should stay away from ELECTRA and if not having Colin's BULLSEYE back, stay away from that too, an have new villains! ; )
LEEE777 - 4/24/2009, 2:34 PM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If its a reboot, I don't want to see anyone from the first one. Thats the point of a reboot, to start over fresh, new story, new cast, new and better everything.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yohon Kalic - 4/24/2009, 2:48 PM
regardless of eveyones bullshit comments, for or against it. by the way it SUCKED guys i was as embarrassed seeing that as the 03 HULK no offense yall, i digress. my point is i agree with @WATCHER47 if MARVEL buys the property back i have waaaaaaaaaaaay more faith in them over than FOX
dellamorte1872 - 4/24/2009, 3:06 PM
its a remake with the same actress?
grif - 4/24/2009, 3:25 PM
Wow. I've never heard so many people admit that they liked Daredevil. I thought I was the only one.
I would like to see a sequel over a reboot regardless of who is starring. Which villain should star? Mr. Fear?
SlurpeeGuy - 4/24/2009, 4:39 PM
Mr. Fear, The Hand, Bullseye (Round 2), or maybe Echo. I'm not too familiar with DD's rogues. I always wanted to jump on the DD bandwagon, but couldn't fit it into my budget with my other favs. Things are looking up now, so I'll be checking out that DareDevil: Born Again, everybody keeps talking about.

Can anybody else recommend any other DD Trades or Graphic Novels I should scope out? Much appreciated. :)
SpiderMan209 - 4/24/2009, 4:55 PM
I say bring back Affleck. Yeah I said it. If he really will never be a superhero again, then get Michael C Hall.
akthunder - 4/24/2009, 5:02 PM
@SPIDERMAN209
if your serious man check out GUARDIAN DEVIL its a MARVEL KINGHTS GRAPHIC NOVEL, or stick to BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS if you want a more "modern" interpration. ED BRUBAKER'S doing the title now but the first year he was on it was enough i think, they need someone else. ENNIS OR MORRISON DUDES!!!!!!!!!!!
dellamorte1872 - 4/24/2009, 5:12 PM
Daredevil wasn't the best movie but it was fine they should leave it alone. He's not that popular anyway to need a reboot like The Hulk did. Also the new Hulk was kind of a sequel and brought it into the world Marvel is trying to bring to the big screen by connecting it with Iron Man and soon Thor and Captain America. Punisher War Zone I do not consider a reboot and also it doesn't look good anyway. They need to move on to new stories and new characters and not make this rebooting thing a new lame trend.
Gigacrusher45 - 4/24/2009, 5:14 PM
Reboot! This movie was ok but it did not do daredevil justice
orod510 - 4/24/2009, 5:31 PM
Jason Statham = Daredevil

Supposible rumors? ..Would'nt be bad.
Minotauro - 4/24/2009, 5:50 PM
couldnt believe STATHAM with hair dude!
dellamorte1872 - 4/24/2009, 6:39 PM
Daredevil was actually a good movie. It pretty much stuck to the books if we cover all the important points. Matt Murdock's character was spot on. DD's look and attitude was perfect. Basic origin story accurate. Villains portrayed as they should. Death of Elektra by Bullseye priceless. There arent other Fox movies that you could say that about. Needed better choreo but its ok.

The only think i hated was the playground fight. For a blind lawyer jumping around and balancing like a circus freak in broad daylight, nobody seemed to care. But at least Elektra buried her Dad though... someone's loved one recently came back coz he didnt freakin bury her.

If they do a remake, i think they should make this really dark. Leave the fancy antics like playground fights and go TDK on DD. That would be the best route to go.
JamesH - 4/24/2009, 6:48 PM
daredevil slept in a sensory deprivation cypt like thing, which more nonsensical than even that lame ass playground scene. bad casting/acting. garner is hot but is all wrong for elektra if penelope cruz acted "believably" woulda been a better choice
dellamorte1872 - 4/24/2009, 6:57 PM
While I certainly agree that Statham is a badass, he wouldn't be able to lose the accent. As for Statham with hair, watch a movie called "Revolver" One of his best.

I hope they do an adaptation of Miller's work with the character. That would certainly grab that gritty darkness and reality we'd all love to see in a DD movie.

The first onecould have been a lot better with very few changes. Aside from small things like that broad daylight playground fight, DD's costume just didn't click to me, but more than anything, Afflecks fight choreography.

While I can't think of anyone to play DD, I do have a good one for Kingpin. Paul Wight. Now hear me out, I have seen this guy in a few interviews with different people and I have been greatly impressed by his articulation and fast wit. I always thought he must be some huge dolt, but I think he could do it. I can see him now in the white suit with a stogie.
TheMyth - 4/24/2009, 7:16 PM
Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms!
Tobuttica - 4/24/2009, 7:38 PM
I have to disagree with you Myth, i didnt care for revolver, i thought snatch was much better, think statham and guy ritchie did a much better job on it, but ya daredevil was alright, onward i say
Grizzly - 4/24/2009, 7:44 PM
HOLY CRAP!! FRANK MILLER IS A DIRECTOR NOW, GET HIM TO [frick]ING MAKE IT!!!!! HE DID THE DAMN COMICS.

i was pondering this, make daredevil more serious. and re-cont the powers, and fix the suit a bit, no need to go crazy.

and keep original cast!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE RECASTING!! HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE RECASTING!

THE ACTORS ARE PUPPETS!! nothing more then puppets. it's the writters and directors that make bad movies. not the actors. actors are puppets actors are puppets actors are puppets get it into your heads actors are puppets.

Director: frank miller
villian: the hand
style like the spirit. the sylowette or what ever it's called was made for daredevil.

bladeshad - 4/24/2009, 8:06 PM
and affleck was the bomb in phantoms. snoogans!
bladeshad - 4/24/2009, 8:11 PM
There are two people i remember saying they liked daredevil enough to say they liked it. Me and Ror-01. the rest of ya are band wagon jumpers. what, its cool now cuz everyone is doing it? hah ... hust kidding, I am totally joking! I never understood why people hated it though .... for me honestly it was my favorite suit adaption so was ghost riders tooo! and i hate that GR movie!!!!!! KingPin should've been white though
shibazz - 4/24/2009, 8:16 PM
Don't know about Daredevil but Christopher Walken should be The Owl.

I would like to see more of an all out battle royal in a reboot. Have every mob boss, the Hand and Bullseye after him all at once. Let Frank Miller write the base story and let Quinton Tarrintino write the finished script.
MontyBorror - 4/24/2009, 8:23 PM
THEY DO A A DAREDEVIL REBOOT, IT HAS TO HAVE OBVIOUSLY MURDOCK,BATTLIN JACK MURDOCK(FLASHBACKS,)KAREN PAGE, ELEKTRA, FOGGY, THE OWL, KINGPIN,BULLSEYE, URICH, MR FEAR, GLADIATOR. CAMEOS BY HEROES FOR HIRE CAGE+RAND AND STILT-MAN LIKE SPIDEY SHOCKER OBVIOUSLY WILL. SMALL CAST OF CHARACTERS REALLY!
dellamorte1872 - 4/24/2009, 9:07 PM
I thought the Director's Cut to Daredevil was pretty good...compared to the theatrical release.

For example, it was extended, but then again they also added, and took out certain things to mae the movie flow better.

Ex) They took out the SEX Scene, which went against his character development, instead of having Daredevil save that person's life, he decides to sleep with Elektra. I thought that was a bit stupid. In the director's cut, he ditches Elektra and saves the victim. Director's Cut should of been the official picture for the theatrical version, but Fox always has a say in it. For some reason the DC is darker...than the original.

I'd rather have them make a "sequel" that connects to the first but directed by Frank Miller...Keep Garner ....get someone else thats talented for Daredevil/Murdock.
Aiiwolf - 4/24/2009, 9:41 PM
MOST PEOPLE LOVED RIPPING ON MARK STEVEN JHONSON FOR DIRECTING DAREDEVIL, I ACTUALLY LIKED IT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW THINGS..AFTER BATMAN BEGINS, "REBOOT" IS THE THING IN HOLLYWOOD NOW-REBOOT SUPERMAN-REBOOT DAREDEVIL-REBOOT REBOOT. FOR ME, THEY SHOULD REBOOT DRAGONBALL AND STREETFIGHTER LIVE ACTION MOVIES..GOOFBALLS IN HOLLYWOOD WHO THINK YOU KNOW WHAT THE PUBLIC WANTS, IF YOUR GOING TO REBOOT SOMETHING, REBOOT THE GARBAGE.
GUNSMITH - 4/24/2009, 9:55 PM
SOME BIG MAGAZINE SHOULD DO A PICTORIAL OF FAMOUS PEOPLE IN SUPERHERO OUTFITS, NOTHING CHEESY OR KID FRIENDLY, BUT TRUE TO THE COMIC BOOKS-I VOTE KIM KARDASHIAN IN ELECTRA OUTFIT.
GUNSMITH - 4/24/2009, 10:00 PM
The Director's Cut is what brought DD back up a notch or two from being labeled a bad film. Sadly, the butchered theatrical release that people saw in the theaters doesn't leave much incentive to check out the director's cut. With 30 minutes of extra footage that actually creates another storyline and brings the whole thing to a much tidier ending. It gives Daredevil the feel of a more completed film and it is worth giving a shot.

The suit was flawed, wasn't horrible, but flawed. It wasn't really designed with acrobatics and freedom of movement in mind. It was too stiff looking.

The biggest problem with Daredevil was its casting. Affleck, sucked. Garner sucked more. Doesn't matter how big Michael Clarke Duncan is, he looks like a sleepy St. Bernard and not a bad ass.
Elektra was a very shitty film, the movie's trailer was better. Garner was an extremely poor choice, she lacked everything that the character needed to become somewhat close to a proper translation on screen. So it would be in the films best interest to keep her ass away from a new Daredevil it if it hopes to be successful.

Lastly, I don't see why one can't make a new movie without throwing reboot or requel in front of it. Why can't they just put a period at the end of the previous films and just do something else without being bogged down by the work of others. Why does it have to have anything to do with older story lines? If anything the previous films would have done a favor in explaining the origins that could be easily re-capped in the opening credits, much like Spider-Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk had done.

Think of it as an alternate filmverse.
WeaponX - 4/25/2009, 1:47 AM
They should just do a sequel. I dont see why people go on and on about comic book costumes not working in movies. Can anyone say Spiderman, Superman or Silk spectre (i know that costume was changed but the bright colour did work). I would loved to have seen Hugh Jackman in the brown Wolverine costume (put that after the credits Fox)

I'm not sure about Stath for Daredevil, i think he was more suited for the Punisher, not the max version.
breakUbatman - 4/25/2009, 3:26 AM
Garner is awesome. Hot, able to do all the physical stunts, and a skilled actress.
They [frick]ed up killing her off.
I think it does need a reboot, but sticking with Garner.
It wasn't her fault, the script surrounding her, hehe
ReikoLJ - 4/25/2009, 3:34 AM
They didn't kill her off......
Lansdowne5 - 4/25/2009, 8:12 AM
i think they SHOULD reboot, idk, it was not a bad movie, but it didn,t work and its been a long time since the first... i say they reboot it frank miller style
fotc - 4/25/2009, 9:33 AM
evrey comic book movie deserves a sequal cuz theres allways room for improvement
KingCold420 - 4/25/2009, 9:39 AM
The movie was just way to campy for me. I agree with Rorschach01, that fight scene in the park was just horrid. I didn't even see this movie in theaters, that's how bad I thought it was going to be, and I personally think I was right.

And I'm sorry, but the director's cut isn't going to change my mind, I'm not even giving it a chance, I saw the changes some of you wrote, not that big of a deal. Not enough to really impact the story and it doesn't help cover the crappyness of it all.

Pleace God keep Frank away from this, Spirit was bad on so many levels, I actually wanted to leave the theater, but I stayed too long and figure I might as well watch the whole damn thing.

If they do a sequel, it'd be cool to do the storyline from Marvel Knights. I know Mysterio was a Spidey character but I dunno, maybe it could work?
Stumblin - 4/25/2009, 10:12 AM
jason statham woulda made a good eddie brock insteada grace or diesel like yall have saud. but stat couldnt pull off either hes too old
dellamorte1872 - 4/25/2009, 10:58 AM
SHIBAZZ @ ???? Ive always loved the DAREDEVIL movie? WTF you on about??? Ive got both cuts on DVD! I love GR too, i'll admit it heh heh! Yeah, your right, KINGPIN should've, i just didn't see him as the real KINGPIN! Also, i wish JEN had the red outfit on in it, that black leather look was lame!!!(Bit like her cardboard acting/she did alot better in ELECTRA). Loved BULLSEYE's look though! ; )
LEEE777 - 4/25/2009, 1:15 PM
I agree. I have the Directors cut, and the original. I bought the original when it first came out..and then eventually the directors cut. DC in my opinion is better. I liked the DC...but the original cut was taken as a joke...I think thats why alot of people didnt like it. BEcause of Ben AFFLECK dressed as superhero [kinda goofy]...not to me....but to people ive talked to dont like...I dunno why? They all seem to say the same thing "douche bag" lol....But

I would love to see a sequel to this movie....with Affleck and the rest of the crew. I hate when they change characters. If not Affleck...than get someoen that looks like him....GET CAPTAIN KIRK. lol
Aiiwolf - 4/25/2009, 2:50 PM
Leee777 you had me until "Luv" Ghost Rider ,,,, either you are the most sarcastic person ever or i am just losing my touch, thought i had the whole sarcasm thing down! To all you Bros. and Sista's out there thanks you for the DD extended cut idea.... i didnt even know. wouldnt have believed just one of ya , but the masses have spoken and i am In! Anyhoo , i am headin to a pool party with my miss sexy lady and we are gonna do the whole bikini bottoms and Beer-Gharita's thing (1/3Beer,1/3 lemon-lime concentrate, 1/3 TEQUILA!!!) Later Sk8ters!
shibazz - 4/25/2009, 4:48 PM
Fox sucks!!! Let my people go!!!!!
skytat - 4/25/2009, 8:17 PM
Be sure to take pics shibazz! Michael c Hall, thats the dude. Couldnt think of his name. He was in Six Feet Under too, hes a very good actor.
Rorschach01 - 4/26/2009, 5:29 AM
I could care less which way they go, reboot or sequel, i just want a new DD movie.

I hope they do way better with the cast whichever way they go with this i hated Garner as Elektra she just couldn't pull it off she wasn't Elektra to me and i think the only reason she got cast was because Alias was huge at the time. I didn't mind the other actors they did a pretty good job i really liked Colin as Bullseye, and Ben was ok as Matt.

I still wish that fox would let their comic rights fall back to Marvel the only really good comic movie they have made so far was X2, X-men was pretty good but 2 was awesome, the F4 movies were decent the second better then the first and DD was pretty good too if you ignore Garner's crappy acting. (can't stand Garner)

Hey,,,, i love GHOST RIDER!!!! Sarcastic me??? Heh! No i really do, not for the story or even the acting, i was blown away by the special effects of GHOST RIDER, thats all! As for the movie, lets just say it was a long way as being a great movie!!! Though i like the nod of the Old West GR too, pity it wasn't much in it! I hope GR 2 learns from the mistakes!!! As for DD!!! No REBOOT, SEQUEL!!!! Don't have to have AFFLECK, but SEQUEL and new VILLAINS, though i wouldn't mind Colin's BULLEYE back!!! (One of the best comic villain's ever). ; )

P.s. How cool would it be if BULLEYE appeared in an X-MOVIE???? Or is it just me, heh!

I think the daredevil movie had alot going for it, but a reboot with new casting and a more serious tone could be more successful. born again is an obvious choice of story. pretty much all of the stories since the comic rebooted with volume 2 would work well for movie or even a tv series. i know that's asking too much. there have been some great stories in the past 10 years in the comics. let bendis and brubaker write the story. cast rosario dawson as electra. duncan was cool as kingpin and i liked favreau as foggy.

If this is made, Jason Stathom will likely play Daredevil. He has been talking with directors and even mentioned in articles his extreme interest in playing the part. This is one role that he is perfect for with his build and martial arts background. Jason would be a perfect DAREDEVIL. Plus it really helps that he really wants to play the part and wear the red tights unlike Afleck.

Yeah hes perfect..aside from being bald, English, and SHIT!

Statham is not bad... he's great for movies like Crank and Transporter or supporting roles but for Daredevil as the main character? BAAAAD choice.

I agree that Jason Stathom has the quality's to be a good DD but 1. hes too old, 2. he's bald 3. not that great of an actor, awesome fighter but the only leading roles he needs to be in are transporter even though i did like him a lot in War.

I would rather see maybe a no namer get into the role it worked for Wolverine, Huge loves the character and will go out of his way to make him what he is supposed to be we need someone like that for DD, unless they can get a big name like they did with RDJ who also loves being Iron man, i guess i'm torn on this one.

Oooh Micheal C Hall? Yeah he would be amazing.

i liked the movie, and thought it was better than spider-man and spider-man 3, but i just cant see a sequel or reboot. he don't have a lot of villians i don't think, and it can't be no batman type movie.

the one movie is fine, but elektra can use a remake. it was too boring and pointless.
